It's very, very hard to play 12+ tables on ipoker.
It's impossible to play more then 5-6 tables on boss.

Hi everyone,

I don't post often on 2+2 but I'm an avid reader and I would like to have some advice about my situation and what would be best for me from online ''pros'' or guys aware about online poker.

Here's my situation: I'm a NL100 (full-ring ''grinder''), I multi-table (12 tables usually) about 3-4 hours a day, 7 days a week, on fulltilt and get their standard 27% rakeback. So I basically play 40k to 60k hands per month. I consider myself a semi-pro, poker is for now just a sideline income (even tho wanna make it my primarly one asap).

I'm not domintaing the game, after about 650K hands on my PT (between NL50 and NL100) I run at around 1.00 BB/100 ...not terrific but not bad either.

I believe and was several time been told that Fulltilt is the place where the players are among the best online, so I wanna basically know which poker room(s) would be a good suit for me, I mean a poker room with maybe a better rakeback than FT's 27%, where the players are below FT's average (fishiest as possible) and where there is a decent traffic (enough to find good 12-tables at almost anytime) ...Btw I'm canadian, so I can play on almost any poker room.

Thanks in advance for the advices.

PS: Apparently poker rooms without americans are fishier lol ...wanna know if it's true from Europeeans grinds.

Pokerstars and Full Tilt have the best players online.

If you want soft competition you still need traffic so you can multitable.

UB/AP Stay Away
Bodog very soft but 4 tables max
Cake Poker 33% rakeback decent traffic awful players
Merge Network I think 30% rakeback this network is growing, God awful players
Party Poker large site, no rakeback players not as tough as full tilt

There are other sites like pacific, mansion, paradise
I would probably go with Cake
Hope this helps

Sportsbook.com have some awesome nl100 games. I think this is because their tables are separate from the rest of cake network. Their nl100 games are softer than their nl10 games imo. I think this is because they have a lot of crossover traffic from the casino and sportsbook. I would recommend downloading the software and watching some of the nl100 games.

Sportsbook and Cake are the same. It's all on the Cake network. However yes it is a soft site.

One and only one site for true pro's, Betfair.

Seriously I have been booming 200nl on here for around 6 months and can't honestly remember being in a tough spot. The majority of players are degens from the gambling site who are looking for action and who am I to reject it?

Seriously, stay away from sites that are just poker sites i.e Stars/Tilt. These attract the following;

1. Full time grinders, these people are a joke and an embarssment. These are the people who are unlikely to ever be touched by a women in their lives. They also think far too much about the game and literally wait for the stones before putting a dollar in the pot.

2. Wannabe nosebleed gangsta's. People who berate you in a chat box about you being a fish if you happen to get lucky against them. These people are generally 21 years old and think they are pro's. Needless to say that after the rant about wanting you to die of cancer and hoping your family die in a car crash they disappear as the are skint.

There are other reasons not to play on the big site that accepts septic tanks but stick to a Euro site such as Betfair or Bet365, full of good guys giving good action. If I fancy a few flips then there are ALWAYS takers on 365 or BFair but never on Stars or Tilt. Full time grinders can't afford to flip but would rather pish their funds away by blinding away in a cash game

The only person who would say something like this is someone that can't turn a profit at stars. You talk about people berating in chat but you are the one doing it here. You will never be a complete poker player until you can play at Stars or Tilt. Winning money at donk sites doesn't count. I would love to play you HU should you ever venture over to stars. And FWIW women do touch me.

Thats how beginners think. But if you want to become a good poker player, playing with donks is not the answer. Anyone can win on bodog.

I understand what your saying and being a winning player at FTP or Pstars is tougher to do. I played live for two years before starting online. I always hit up the juicest live games and I do the same on the net. The less hard decisions I have to make the better. But to each its own!

When You first start playing poker if you just go play at the sites with bad players the only thing that will happen is you will lose to bad players. I guess once you become an excellent poker player then maybe going to a donk site would be ok but at that point why would you want to?

Why would anyone want to play at tables with better players if the object is to make money? Play the worst players you can find and pocket the money. Winning money at donk sites does count. Money is money. Good Game.

I think everyone has valid points here but it's a question of motivation.
If you want to be a better player then head for PS and FTP,
If you want to earn more $ per hour against weaker opposition go to a softer site which attracts non-poker playing gamblers, i.e. Betfair.

FWIW one of the best coaches at CR recommends sitting at tables with a couple of fish and a couple of weaker regs so you can develop better hand reading skills etc, and he has a winrate of 3ptbb/100 at 400NL so i'll bow to his superior knowledge

Actually, this post makes you something of an embarrassment. Seriously? Any full time grinder is a joke, embarrassment, won't be touched by a woman...um, OK then.

WTF is this crap? Your first post was giving OP advice on how to avoid good players, and now people shouldn't do that? And HU challenges to everyone. LOL.

OP, do some kickback bonus whoring and find out what sites you like. If you're not familiar with kickbacks, search the term in the Internet Bonuses forum.

I'd rather play on a site with the most fish in order to make the most money.

Then again, I play for money and not for ego so maybe that's just me

Betfair ftw!

It's funny to see the direction the discussion took.

To be honest with you, I'm really looking for the fishiest poker room, I want to increase my winrate, as I said I played more than 600K hands on Fulltilt and beat the game at about 1.0BB/100.

I believe that playing on a site with less good players would necessarly increase my winrate and that's what I'm looking for right now. I also look for a good rakeback since I plan on playing quite alot of hands.

So basically the 2 rooms that seem to correspond to my creteria are Betfair and Cake ...other suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks for the help.

for you it sounds like Bodog Poker would be best choice
