Question is pretty straight forward, and I effin' miss online poker. I've had a roll an ACR but I withdrew it after I was exposed to all the allegations etc.

I'm basically looking for a site with decent traffic for 25nl-50nl maybe 100nl mostly for NLHE and perhaps PLO.

I've been playing poker both online and live for a few years, I haven't really taken it too seriouse - since I can always redeposit if I went broke.

Now I'm thinking of starting out seriouse - one deposit and grind it up,
I'm mostly a Cash game player, but I enjoy playing a few MTTs throughout the week/weekend.

Which site would be the most soft for a "new grinder" to start his balance...
I'm thinking somewhere around NL25+ and MTTs 10$+. ( The grinding for the balance, will be on the Cash tables, with a MTT from time to time in the 10$+ range )

I've been playing mostly Pokerstars when playing online, but I was looking into the RB thing too, and I notice I have the 30% RB from Nordicbet poker, so thinking of given it a try - I do not know how soft or hard its at their platform, never really played there.

Edit: Also I use HM2, but is it not possible to track your winnings on Nordicbet poker ? doesn't seem like I can locate the hand history for my HM2 to Work, really would like that to Work aswell - if I start a project like this... If you know how to fix it, let me know.

It used to be the sad truth (I started as a limit player) but there has during the years been a decent amount of limit action at Party also. But I haven't looked into it for years now. But should make more sense since the Stars VIP systems became worse and Party's better. But see the Stars rake also.

I was playing on OnGame untill they started the essence rake system.
I quit poker back then and now I want to get back in.

What would be a good site for me to start again?
Requirements:

- good rakeback deal
- multi table friendly (was doing 24 tables)
- easy cash out/cash in
- good traffic

if you are a break even/money making player.... avoid pokerstars like the plague... worst rakeback in the industry...

if you lose often and deposit regularly consider pokerstars RB is supposedly upto 30%

no one can beat the number of players on stars, but you could consider playing on multiple sites at once vs getting no RB but volume from stars

also consider that stars is likely at some point in the near future going to limit play to around six tables... currently being tested in some markets

I play on ipoker (William Hill) a little bit, but there are no more than 8 tables cg possible...

if they have enough tables for you for sure.... unfortunately my current game (full ring .5/1) doesn't seem to run often there but hopefully I will be jumping limits in a couple of months and plan to split games between stars and party...

also read a recent article that reported traffic at party was up something like 36% this year... so I remain hopeful they will continue to grow and become the viable 2nd option to compete with stars.

If you prefer to play that many tables you're obviously looking for the highest-trafficking sites like you're saying yes. From NLHE100+ the rake structures are converging to a point where the differences are getting much less than at lower stakes. Partypoker is definitely your best shot, including rakeback, plenty of traffic and decent payment processing.

I looked up the 'essence' system and as far as I can tell it's calculating the rake based on other variables than just what one contributed to the pot. At the moment, there are sites that obtain a few different methods like the good old 'weighted-contributed'-way, where the rake amount allocated to players proportionally to the amount of money they contributed to every pot. iPoker uses the Real Player Value Index, where 50% comes from weighted-contributed and the other 50% of something called Source-based rake, something similar as the 'essence'-system, as well as the GG Network who call it the Player Value Index Method rule and use some other variables ("Hold’em and Omaha scores are determined by CHB Index, Swing Index, Potsize Index, etc.") to calculate the rake for a player.

So, long story short, the essence-system is still being obtained by some sites called Real Player Value Index or something along these lines.

Fast-fold games aren't a necessity. I want a site that offers a good VIP/rb deal, has ok software and where you can use tracking software.

The support of tracking software is declining among poker sites and given your requirements I recommend iPoker (Coral) as your best option. Software is OK, tracking software is fully supported, you're able to play there from the UK and a good rakeback deal can be offered.

I would stay away from NLOP ( Nat'l League of Poker ). Although they're based in the US, they don't seem to pay. At least not in my case. Support is terrible, they don't respond, no telephone # and no way to escalate a problem.

You can play for free, but don't expect to be paid. I would never pay them for the privilege of getting ripped off. DO NOT join this site.
