Looking for a site where I can multi table plo50 and plo100 during the day and at night without any problems. Wouldn't mind playing in € also and using Skrill is my main deposit and withdrawal method. No Huds or anonymous is a plus. Thanks.

Hi everyone. I realise I'm opening a can of worms here, especially as this is my first thread, so...

I'm a regualar micro player on Pokerstars, I have a PT database of around 250k hands since 2013, mainly 6-max cash tables and 6-max Zoom.

I've also been studying hard and working on my game, though I haven't had much success. This is not a "no-one at the micros respects my raises" rant. This is an honest look at 5 years of play and 250k hands.

I've self-excluded a couple of times, and on returning I have noticed some changes in play over this time. Currenlty I see a LOT of Brazilian and Russian players now who are completely reckless. There's always been reckless players, but now when I see crazy play, it's usually from one of those regions. Both of these areas have low wages and depressed economies, could it be that many young players are being drawn in thinking they can make money?

Now I know the stock response is "that's fantastic, play solid poker, crush the micros...etc" but we all should realise that's not true.

I have found it impossible to improve my game at 2NL and 5NL, because no matter what I do I just can't work out ranges. In any hand, the villian's range could be anything, seriously, any two cards. Unless they shove all in, in which case it could be anything but might be KK or AA. If I open with QQ+ I fully expect to be called all the way to the river with 72o. It's pointless to try and bluff. Say I miss AK on the flop to something like 69T, whatever the play, I'll be called all the way with 22 or 63o which will make the bottom pair on the river.

This is the beginner's entry level, so I am not criticizing them as players, everyone has to learn somewhere, so it's only natural that these random lines are going to be played.

You might say, "well, just wait till you get premier hands and stack off, wait for sets, etc... " but that's not going to improve my game.

There is no way to crush the micros at 2 and 5, I don't care what anyone says.

If I move up to 10NL or 25NL, I have much calmer, settled game, where I tend to be able to read plays better, and I am able to put players on a range more accurately. I can use techniques I study and take lines that do have more predictable outcomes.

So, my questions are:

1. For anyone who has been through a similar experience, what stakes would you suggest as optimal for the best level of gameplay?

2. Is Zoom really the best way to play poker? I find it to be the crazy, erratic, nonsense. Yet there are some pros who suggest Zoom is the best way to develop your game due to volume. To me it's just like opening a window and throwing money out.

3. I've been hearing a lot of flaming of Pokerstars, especially regarding rake and player rewards. What alternative sites would you recommend that treat the players a little better?

Thanks for any thoughts on my first post. I'm also following an online training program and playing some live MTT's, so I'll hope to be able to contribute a bit more about my journey.

That would be an improvement. Improving your game is adapting to your surroundings and being able to effectively take chips from the players youre sat with. Just because you would be playing what most people would consider "bad poker" doesnt mean it isnt the best way to play against aggro monkeys.

Well, it's at least a cousin too such a rant, if not a sibling.

Then I'm not sure why you're asking questions. You're going to have a tough time improving if you close your mind like this.

Your first couple of questions would be best suited for:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/3...ers-questions/

Your last one belongs here, where your post has been moved. You might want to have a look over some of the more recent posts, and feel free to repost your question, perhaps refined a bit once you see some other people's thoughts.

Good luck!

I didn't move it here, but only because another mod beat me to it. It's moved here because this is where it belongs, and yes, people answer all the time. And when they don't answer, it's often because the answer exists in this thread already; you just need to do a little research.

Standalone threads don't necessarily get more responses anyway; often, they get less. What we used to have was a bunch of standalone threads, many asking the same questions over and over again - it made a lot more sense to have one thread where people could read the last few pages and find some answers, rather than having to wade through the dozens and dozens of similar threads.

As for the forum looking dead, we're not that concerned when every thread on the front page has had a post (usually multiple) in the last ~24 hours. But regardless, making the forum look busier than it is would be a terrible reason to leave unneeded threads around.

Ciao gente,

I was wondering what the current sites, that EU players can play on, are with the worst players at medium stakes Sit & Go's, let's say in the €20 - €30 buy-in range. Does anyone have an idea of what sites I could download and register at best in this regard? Hit me up with a respond if you think you have a pretty good understanding.

I used the Fish-O-Meter from Sit and Go Planet to check, but it asks for your bankroll size instead of buy-in level, which is confusing, and for some reason I doubt if it's reliable. Been out of the games for a while so would really like to know where the values' at.

Love,
Cavallo Italiano

If you've been "out of the game for a while" you're going to be the fish in SNGs at those stakes on pretty much any site.

Also, not all sites serving EU players service all of the EU. Might want to state which country you're living in. If it's Italy then you're going to be limited afaik.

If you are located in Italy, aren't you restricted to .it clients like Pokerstars.it, iPoker.it, 888poker.it and PeoplesNetwork.it (whatever that is)?
I suspect the strict licencing rules mean that the player pool will be very small for the games you want to play.

Questions like "what site is softest" never go well; especially as games have gotten tougher. You'll still get some honest answers, but they'll be mixed in with those who would rather you didn't play on their favourite site(s).

I should've been less ambiguous, let me clear some things up.

I've definitely played this past year and had a pretty consistent win rate multitabling Unibets' 5max €25,- SnG's. I just mentioned that I've been out of the game for a while, because I haven't played the past two months and most of all because I'm not content with the way I've been handling poker this past year. It's been too inconsistent with too many weeks where I didn't put in the work I feel like I should put into it.

I want to look elsewhere, because the above mentioned games don't seem to run regularly enough and offer you limited information on your opponents due to the endless identities you can create and due to the restriction of HUD software. I'd like to be more professional in my approach and put more time into studying NLHE. Therefor I'd like to play on other sites in the same buy-in range where HUD software is permitted and you can only hold a single identity. Your end goal is to make money, so logical table selection is obviously something I want to focus on as well.

I'm from the Netherlands, which is where I currently still live. The name, the profile picture and the antics are just part of my cliche online persona.

Grazie mille for the help.

I live in the Netherlands, should've made that clear.

I understand what you mean and it's a great point. I'm not a complete braindead monkey however and definitely know where the value isn't at. So I could pick out false suggestions pretty easily.

Grazie mille!

Any honest suggestions would still be of great help!

Avoid playing on party poker.

It's 100% rigged/fixed and I hope its victims seek justice sooner or later for this criminal network.

Best way to know which software is good is by sampling certain amount of hands and see if the odds match up.

Appreciate the input, but I unfortunately don't take anyone serious that's claiming any site is rigged with a serious face.

With PS withdrawing, I need to find a network to play from Hong Kong. Can’t play bovada network because they don’t provide service there. Where to play now? Would prefer playing with bitcoin and enough players.

It's called the Pai Wang Luo Network, not the Bovada Network. Also, you are correct. Not available in Hong Kong.

Try the Winning Poker Network which is of comparable size and takes Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, LiteCoin, Ethereum, and 60+ other crypto-currencies for deposit (and many of them for withdrawal according to availability, but always the main cryptos).
