With great despair, we are announcing that PokerMania is closed, effective immediately. due to recent changes in poker laws our legal team has advised us to shut down.

We are deeply saddened by this news, as many of the players that play on PokerMania have become part of our family and will be missed.

In the weeks ahead we will be processing approximately 4400 player withdrawals. Please be patient as it will take some time to process all of the withdrawals for each account. Working 12 hours daily we are projecting to process approximately 75 withdrawals daily thus we should be done with this process within 60 days.

This was basically the only site I played on this past year, and I enjoyed my time on it for the most part. Hope we don't get ****ed over here. I'll post here to confirm payout status.

I have played on that site for 2 years and it was great. I had a problem once with bitcoin depositing but I think that was more coinbase regularities than anything.. The people that played on Mania were alot of fun, it was like a small club atmosphere. I knew one of the admins that worked there from college, and that was how I got signed up. I visited the office once, and they showed me alot of their anti cheating software and protections.
I am sure that after they get done with what they have to do, all monies will be sent out. I heard yesterday that it may take a few weeks, but I know they are good people and working hard at this.

What recent changes in poker laws?

Nah it is just some BS. In reality they lost most of their traffic when some (most?) agents split with them and created pokerboom.online.
So it become not feasible anymore to run the pokermania room. Just not enough traffic. I mean even like 2 weeks ago they were looking for prop player but that was more like trying to reanimate a dead horse.

I googled that site and nothing works... just a login.

Is it because of mobile? Not home so I can’t check PC

pretty what they they were doing was illegal from day one. nothing changed other than their acceptance of that fact.

Well both pokermania and pokerboom are agent sites and mostly guys from live games . So there was a split and basically all high stakes traffic moved to pokerboom because the biggest agents left pokermania. You need an affiliate/agent to get access I think. But thats basically the reason why pokermania folded because they lost most of the traffic when the split happened.

They use the same software etc. (poker mavens) and they have all the high stakes PLO/Mixed traffic that was previosuly happening on PokerMania.

So you need an “in” to play?

yeah and I am not aware of a possiblity to sign up directly. So basically the same as it was with PokerMania before they tried to go "global".I don't know if you played with PokerMania but I would say very likely the same agent that used to have PokerMania has PokerBoom.

I mean I wasn't personally interested because can't stand this cheap 500$ software and the games weren't soft enough for me to bother but at least for me the same guys that were offering Mania now have PokerBoom. So it shouldn't be difficult to get in.

While they did lose their mixed game traffic, I believe the site was initially built for PLO, and I would imagine a small operation could do pretty well from that traffic alone. From what I've gathered it was a legit closure.

Was paid out my remaining balance by my affiliate very quickly no problem.

Try sending an email to adminrpc@protonmail.com, as that is the generic email address for support staff. the owner or one of his employees should see it, and hopefully the line of cashouts to process isn't too long. I have been assured that all players will get their money that was in their account.

Pokerboom is pretty much all high stakes - 40/80-100/200 for horse or flo8 and 10/20 plo or plo8
