Has anyone successfully played on their new software? I open it up occasionally to see if there's any action at draw games/Pineapple but I never see anyone playing. Not interested in playing on Mavens.

If I was a scam / risk reporting agency for online poker sites, I would have to at least put PokerMania on a watch list based on nothing else than this thread, and not change that until some of these conflicting statements are resolved.

We would like to say that Macaubound absolutely nailed the description of our site.

This poker site started 4 years ago with a home game of 10 players that have been playing Big Omaha, our favorite game together every Tuesday night for the past 15 years. Four years ago, one of the fish in the game could not leave his house on Tuesday as his wife had just had a baby. That same week, the other huge fish had some personal family issues the weekend before, and could not leave his house that night either. The game could not go on without them!!

One of our guys had a connection to a company that had poker software laying around. They said we could use this software if we give them 30% of the rake. Sounded great to us. We played that night, and all that week (with very little sleep) and then the next week. Soon, 5 friends joined us, then 5 more, then came an agent with players, and we grew.

Two years back one of our guys made the hasty decision to go Professional after he won a large tournament. His ambition was much bigger than his talent, but when he went on tour, he met everyone, and the site grew and grew. In 4 years, by word of mouth, we have grown to over 3900 players, and have always practiced and prided ourselves on having stellar business ethics and practices. Which is why our players from the beginning have stayed playing, even those with poor ROI's. We were and are all amateur players craving a fair online game.

We are currently moving away from any credit based models and are in the process of moving our offices to San Jose, Costa Rica. We are also adding a cashier to the existing software, thus opening our doors to the world. We do market our club to the novice, or recreational player, meeting them at tournaments, or home games and clubs. We do allow the pros to play, but only at higher limits, thus protecting our “fish” from getting beat up by the professional players. We don't want our games to become just tough grinder games like other sites.

Currently we do all deposits and withdrawals via crypto currencies - no banking. However, the move to Costa Rica opens the door to banking, and eventually credit cards.

We still consider ourselves a small, close knit, and fun-loving club. Keeping our chat rooms and usernames clean, our admins are known by most of the players, and we have 5 private clubs that gather in social media groups to enjoy the comradery.

We do have admins and software, trained to spot double accts and collusion. Our software does not allow bots, nor external programs to be attach to it. Our PRIMARY concern is to prevent and stomp out all cheating. Again, the 10 of us just wanted a fun, and safe place to play online poker in our underwear from home, so we knew we would not be cheated in any way. That is always going to be our motto and company objective.

Yes, we have purchased new downloadable software with new games including 6 variations of Open Face Chinese, 4 variations of triple draw games, a bad beat NLHE jackpot, Rapid Poker, and our favorite, Big Omaha. After a year we are still testing the software as it has taken much longer than we had anticipated. Apparently, not everyone works as long and hard as we do here...lol.

How do you plan to handle this across different games when the Enterra software is active? As a small-midstakes mix player a lot of my market is higher-stakes holdem players who either want to learn a new game or want to blow off steam at a more fun game. I'd hate to have them restricted out because they win a lot at holdem. Something to think about.

Looking forward to when this works for real, and especially getting to play 2-7 OFC Pineapple.

Good Morning. Please ask any question that you may have.

1) Yes we do know the identity of Zoolander.

2) When we started 4 years ago, we had 5 owners.. Over the course of the years, they left for personal reasons, and now there is only 1 owner. He will play from time to time, but not often, and more for appearances. He does not play the high limit games, nor is a winning player (though he wishes). His focus is meeting new affiliates, going to live tournaments to meet new players, and traveling with Fossilman to sign up more private groups to the site. But every once in awhile he will sign in to play to see how his props are performing, and checking the general overall site performance.

3) We have 5-10 props that sit on tables, start games, and leave once the tables become full. We do not use bots to start games. These props all receive an hourly wage, plus a high % of rb. None of the props know each other, nor are in contact with one another, thus they do not collude. They play hard against one another, but will not sit hu against one another. We prop our games from 2 4 to the micros, and our philosophy is to have three props on at all times, thus when a player sits to play, the table fills to 4 immediately. When it fills, the props will leave one by one giving the seats to the players.
FYI we currently have 1 prop position open if anyone would like to become a part of the PokerMania Prop Team. On top of the pay, if a prop has been with us for over 6 months, we will invite them to travel with us to live tournaments and sponsor them at live tournaments.

This site started based in Iowa. Thus, we have over 1,000 Iowa base players that play on this site. The General is not an owner, nor a prop. He is one of the local players, who also writes for Ante Up Magazine. He has been playing on this site since April 13, 2013. And he plays weekly on the site, as he loves small stakes PLO. As I know him personal, and know that his nickname at our home game is "Donkey", I would say him sitting next to you at that ring game was a blessing!!!

I will say that when you gave us your name choice, we nearly rejected the choice as it was too close to the name already given out. But the General Manager allowed it. With over 3900 accts in our system, it is likely that people will choose names close to others previously made.

I can assure you that the office staff is very busy each day. We do not make accts or antagonize our players for any reason. We are busy insuring that all monies and games are running smoothly.

Hater is the current player that the owner uses and we agree more rake can be better. However if you are looking for him on the tables anytime soon, it may be awhile before he plays as he is out gathering new players to add to the site. Any comment on the recent increase of minimum players for mtts? Seems to me that the solution implemented will hurt mtt traffic while not doing anything about the problem as it stands. If players are offering chops in an effort to underhandedly make money from the guaranteed tourneys early in the game, then those players should be warned for a first offense, and then banned for a second offense. With such a small player base, I get the notion that we need all the players that we can get. However, I don't think we need such players at pokermania that would do such a thing.

We agree 100%. However, we do not currently have a good solution to this issue. It was our knee jerk reaction to raise the limits to hopefully eliminate this type of action in the future. We will be closely monitoring the tournaments for the next few weeks to help ensure the integrity of the games. I would love to try your site but the software is just a joke. I mean I don't mind it is browser based but what you need to do is to allow each table to open in a separate window. Nitrogensports/Cubeia browser client has exactly this and it is called pro mode. Because the way it works now the traffic is just too small and I wouldn't mind to open like 1-2 tables here and there on your site but won't do it when all tables open inside a huge browser window that takes most of my screen (including lobby) and you can't take the table outside off it.

Make the changes so when you click open a new table it opens in a new popup window and traffic would grow a ton.

Appreciate your suggestion. We are actually creating entirely new proprietary software that we will launch as soon as it is complete. It will be non-browser based, there will be all the games (adding draw games, Chinese poker games, etc.), and we hope you will love it.

Is this a wholly new proprietary software, rather than something structured on Enterra? I had kind of been hoping that the Enterra version would happen in some sort of close time frame. If you're looking at full-scale development I imagine we won't be playing anytime soon.

Mavens is well-understood. I hate playing on it, but it's well-understood. Enterra is maybe somewhat less so, but is used elsewhere, and anyway who knows if they'll ever actually use it.

Many, many other sites use props as well.

All the mixed game action seems to have left when the guys who formed pokerboom.online split off. Assuming they have HORSE action at the new place anyone want to hook me up with an invite?
