Does anyone know anything about an online poker site called Pokermania or PokerMania.online?

Sometime was saying it is a new site that takes US players.

Google around I could not find any reviews.

I was approached by an agent to get in this site. I am a little hesitant but I may make a small deposit and see how it goes.

I play on there and like it. Payouts weekly never any problems and I've had 4 figure payouts quite a few times

Its a nice site. but I have been playing there for 6 months and never had to wait more than 6 hours for a cashout. Thats if I request it between 2am and 8am. Otherwise its done in 1-2 hours.

Traffic can be slow time to time but lately its been getting better.

Pokermania.online is a crooked as it gets. I know I worked for them a short time. they (the group of owners) use the back end to their advantage. its run by a man with multiple felonies (user name zoolander). he will tell you anything to get you to deposit on his site. its run out of iowa. he will tell you its in Canada but the server is based in the Chicago area. further more they use cheap software that is not designed for real money play. if anyone asks you to play here for the hills!!!!!

ps their network guy is supposedly their biggest fish...its all a scam.
site is filled with shills they hustle into working for them with no chance of winning.

cant trust much such a rubbish site, it has more the looks of a blog than thna a poker site

The one people are referring to is an agent-based US site.

They have paid me without incident, but I haven't been playing there long.

Not once have i heard of them not paying out. That's not the problem. If you win there good for you. Good Luck. You will need it.

Been grinding here since early June and really enjoy it. The software isn't all that appealing visually but in a time when Ignition crashes constantly and WPN is having major lag issues, it's refreshing to play somewhere that the software just works. I have had ZERO issues in almost 3 months of grinding here and payouts are always fast. The only other site that ran close to this well for me lately was BetOnline and this is even more consistent. If you care about how a site runs and not how it looks then this place deserves way more praise and attention than it is getting. The client runs in a browser, but unlike other sites it actually works as intended all the time so who cares. Volume is low but if you sit tables, games will start. There is a generous daily $50 GTD freeroll that runs at 5pm PST every day that gets under 100 people, which I use to help pad my roll. If you cash in that freeroll, you get entered into a weekly (6pm PST on Mondays) freeroll with $500 GTD and $150 up top. I highly recommend at least giving this site a look if you are looking for headache-free action. Start with the daily freeroll and run up a roll to get comfortable.

Deposits/Withdrawals are done via Bitcoin and/or through agent transfers to client accounts. I had no issues with 4 figure deposits/cashouts.

Site is run on PokerMavens software via browser.. (This is a commercial online poker software..)

No HUDs.

Site is filled with props to help start games.

I personally backed a few guys on there and put some action in myself.. I even backed one of the props.

None of my horses (even the prop) including myself were able to return a profit in the soft games.

Some horses called the site rigged with strange runouts/playstyles, etc.

Combined there was a lower 5 figure downswing in 2/4-3/6 NL,PLO, etc.

It could definitely be short-term variance; however, I no longer back anyone there and no longer am putting anyone else on the site since.. I can only say the staff is helpful in depositing and cashing out. If they get a real custom-made software I may be interested in going back to it.

I'm certainly not a REP, but I am a prop, since sometime in early June. I've also had no problem consistently beating the cash games in NLH, PLO and PLO8 at the micro to low stakes.
I lost my first week, made some adjustments, and have only had 1 other losing week since then. So about 9 winning weeks and 2 losing overall. That of course is not counting the prop pay, purely profits at the tables.

What protections are in place for player funds? Are they segregated from the company's operating funds?

PokerMania is happy to announce that as of this month, our offices will be located in San Jose, Costa Rica. We follow all the guidelines set forth by our legal staff and continue to abide by the laws of the land by doing no banking.
Our operating costs are kept apart from the player deposit pool. We have an outside third party accounting practice that insures all pennies go where they are suppose to.

I've been playing this site for the better part of the past month and I really like it so far. Nearly everyone has been very nice and it's a fun atmosphere for the pokers.

Decided to try the site. No Deposit button. You have to contact help to make a deposit. Help is by e-mail only, no phone or chat. Have been waiting over an hour for someone to reply to my e-mail request to make a deposit. So far not impressed.

If you believe any of this...I have a bridge id like to sell you. They have no offices or staff here or Costa Rica and absolutely don't have a 3rd party that's looking into any of their finances. They're running damage control for this thread.They do however pay out when you win and cashout. Good luck winning though as others have posted in this thread have stated as well. The cards are not stacked in your favor.......

just today was meeting with a friend I haven't seen for a while. well known guy througout poker industry, some would consider a whale in live nosebleeds.

Anyway we were talking about a few areas of online poker industry and he mentioned he'd been playing on PokerMania. I said poker what-ia , I'd never heard of it nor ever heard of site in the U.S. that operates like this (i.e option for agents for cash in/out)

I don't have anything to do w the site other than playing a few hands, so take my info w a grain of salt. But I think I have a pretty good understanding of their business model and why some are confused about PokerMania's "status" - is it an off-shore unregulated site like ACR, regulated US site like Pokerstars NJ, or private poker club like the Chinese apps where no money changes hands on the site and players settle up with their agents/affiliates?

This will make the most sense to anybody w experience betting sports w the neighborhood bookie. 15 years ago, if you wanted to place a bet w your neighborhood bookie, you'd call up his office to get the lines and make your plays and then settle in person w cash at an agreed upon time. Then, PPH (pay-per-head) services based in Antigua or Costa Rica created websites that allowed the neighborhood bookie to get rid of all the overhead (paying people to answer the phones, rent for the office, phone lines that were recorded in case of discrepancies) and risk associated w running an office in exchange for a $10 per wk per player fee, whereby the player logs on to a website and makes his plays 24/7 without having to talk to anybody. No money is exchanged on the sites and players would still settle w their agents or bookie like usual. But unlike Bovada, which is open to anybody willing to send them money, these PPH sites are private in the sense that you need to know an agent/bookie. That's because these PPH sites are run on credit, so the agent/bookie needs to know you personally.

It seems to me that PokerMania started out as a private poker club (the poker equivalent of a sports PPH site). They must've grown big enough that people across the country started playing. Currently, by "going public" and accepting payments via BTC, they're basically opening up the doors to everyone, whether you know one of their agents/affiliates/administrators or not. That would signify that they've outgrown their private poker club model and have transitioned into the US players welcome unregulated off-shore market like ACR or Ignition. They've recently soft-launched some new software. It's slicker than the old Poker Mavens browser-based stuff they have been using, but they haven't moved all the players to the new software (presumably waiting for bugs to be fixed).

They always pay. No idea about the other drama. I'm a very small loser on the site, in terms of BBs. Obv I would never have signed up to play if I didn't have some confidence in their integrity.

^^^ thanks for post...yeah, agency thing is just the sub-plot here. at least one big "unregulated" jurisdiction (India) I think agency thing is pretty standard. interesting to learn how poker site goes from private to public.
