I freerolled my way to some money on Poker Host so I can't comment on deposits. Also I haven't tried a cashout yet so can't comment there either.

I will however throw out two positives...

Depending on your rakeback provider the Poker Host individual race chase is one of the highest. The rake chases can be a bit confusing the first time you look at chart. But do some research it appears Poker Host's rake chase is tied for the highest.

Also if you average at least 420 points a month you can get live tournament "sponsorship". You request a Poker Host.net patch and just wear it while playing in live tournaments, if you cash you get a bonus % of your live tournament win added to your online poker account. It is kinda cool to go play a live tournament and know you have online bonus money coming if you cash.

I'm not sure any of that applies when you use a rakeback affiliate

i was thinking about depositing there but i looked at their withdraw options. seems like they are not using the merge cashier. they offer moneybookers/ western union withdraws. that would be awesome as long as they actually paid. i may deposit $50 and try

their mg/wu fees are nothing short of ridiculous ass rape; 10% vig to see your ca$h. F***'em. Like it costs a lot more to ship $1000 than it does $100. Bunch of low life scammers.

I'm not sure if you were talking to me or not. But what I was saying about rake chases through affliates/providers (whatever word you want to use) can be different. For example I looked at the RPM Poker skin rake race on their web site and then I looked at a rakeback affliate/provider rakechase and it was way different in the amounts of money even taking into account the 10 pts =$1 for no rb and 6.5 pts=$1 for rb account.

The whole thing is a mess anyway, bring back the pre-ugeia days !!!

I use the Poker Host skin so I've dug into what it provides. It doesn't get the love Carbon, RPM and Lock get. But several people in the know see Poker Host is right up there. And I'm still finding new stuff. For example, I asked in the RPM thread if they have a loyality store or WSOP tickets for points program. I didn't get an answer yet but I couldn't find it. I was searching through Poker Host loyality store and saw AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME prices on WSOP buyins with your points if that your thing. I might use 20,000 points and get into a WSOP $1,000 event. Heck even a mini-cash in the WSOP event has me walking away with $1,200 of cash without having to get a Poker Host check etc. I'm going to e-mail marketing and see if they will do other tournaments besides just WSOP. Then I'll be trading my Poker Host points in for live tournament buy-ins and praying for at least a mini-cash lol. And no fees of any kind to get money offline.

And don't forget the sponsorship thing I mention in previous post. If you do at least 420 points per months and wear their patch you can get up to another 20% added to your online account. So if you also like live tournaments or want to try what I said about points for live buyin, Poker Host is a great choice. I didn't see any of this on other skins.

Hi everyone, I am not sure if I am out of line here, or if I am being completely unreasonable. I feel that poker host not having stated this on their website anywhere is cause for them to be considered angling people who sign up at their website.

-The story, I deposited on Pokerhost when I found out about them with the little money I had to my name. I grinded away for quite a few days and then sent my friend who is disabled and has all their poker funds tied up on FTP $20 dollars to play with......When he doubled up he tried sending back to me and Poker host will not let him transfer nor cashout because he has not made a deposit. I searched their entire website and no where does it say that you can not cashout nor transfer unless you make a deposit.

-I had started a conversation with the live help section and got escalated to the supervisor on this matter, I copied and pasted their cashout section on tos and their cashout section on FAQS neither section stating you need to make a deposit. The supervisor neglected my questions and just kept saying the transaction wont be processed that players get told cashout instructions and requirments via live chat ?????wtf really?

I have the chat saved if you guys want to see, but to me this is just complete bull****.

Thanks for this.

Anyways, i think i have solved the problem, im not sure if this was the reason that caused the client to crash, but i had BitDefender antivirus installed when it crashed then i uninstalled it and i was able to play normally.

So if you also have bit defender and the client crashes, it may not be just a coincidence.

I would give them a negative 50. My expierience they removed my funds without my permission. I would NEVER put a cent onto this site and risk dealing with them.

There have been like 5 threads about this in the last month. general consensus: the software is buggy and ugly, they charge big fees for withdrawing, seems sketchy, stay away.

I'll give my 2 cents...

As for the above response, the software being ugly and buggy is a more a commentary on the Merge Network. All the skins share the same software.

As for cashouts I have neither deposited or withdrawn. After Black Friday I decided to do a Jesus Ferguson type freeroll my way to money while waiting for everything to calm down. Plus I am near live casinos and would rather play live then deal with MERGE'S BULL**** RAKE STRUCTURE FOR LIMIT PLAYERS. I'm waiting for rake structure to change before I deposit. I picked Poker Host as my RB skin because #1 before this latest June 1st Merge change Poker Host was tied for the highest individual rake chase through RB afflilates. And #2 they were one of the only Merge skins offering WU as a withdrawal method, they used their own cashier instead of Merge cashier.

A lot has changed since June 1st !!! The individual affiliate RB chases seem to be on the way out in a month or two ordered by Merge. And Lock Poker has steppd up and is allowing people to cash out through WU if you first transfer the funds from your poker account to the casino account. Both of these changes are a death blow to me picking Poker Host as my RB skin. To be honest you would do better playing at another skin such as Lock or looking into RPM's new VIP program.

I have tried them. Their cashier is actually better than the others. (better acceptance rate)

They have the worst support out of any merge skin and there are a few recent (not to mention old) threads about them screwing someone out of their money. There is no real reason to play on this skin, play on RPM or something.

Thanks every for their input. I have already had an account with PokerHost since December through SBG global when I bet on football. Since probaly January I have not played on their and was just seeing how things are now but when I was playing on their they were quick on the withdrawls. I cashed out 3 times ACH method which they no longer offer is the reason why I was asking. Maybe I should just stick to playing live.

If your Poker Host Merge skin has gone unplayed for 60 days you can try and re-tag another Merge skin for rake back. But it would have to be a skin you already set up before June 1 (today were changes). Also some VIP programs might be better without RB anyway, so you have to research.

had a friend tell me pokerhost, which is basically sportsbook, but the part that was still accepting us players was a good site to play on. Just checked it out, and United States isn't one of the country options to create an account with?
Whatsup with that? anyone play on pokerhost a lot?

except for some shady back door dealings, US players cannot sign up for a Merge network account presently.

Hi, This explanation may be a little convoluted so bear with me.
I signed up to play at Poker Host from the USA last week. A few days later they stopped accepting US business claiming they needed to wait for a Merge software upgrade to process the "huge influx" of new US applicants...odd since US legislation problems started years ago with online poker.

Anyway I requested a cashout by wire last Thursday. As of today the money, almost $3000.00 is still sitting on their books available for play. They say the "pending period' to withdraw is 2-3 days and I'm in queue and 'maybe' it'll be ready tomorrow. They 'guarantee' I'll have my money by Friday.

Because of this vagueness I asked to speak to a supervisor. I get put on the phone with a guy who a few days earlier had IDed himself as a cust serv rep.
This same guy told me he was also head of the banking dept.

I get the feeling I'm talking to a group of guys in an apartment somewhere in Albania or wherever wearing whatever hat they need to adopt at the moment to tell a customer whatever.

I've read some bad stories about payouts with Merge sites. I chose Poker Host as they have live phone support and I will say they, for now, are great aqbout answering the phone. I have emailed receipts from them confirming deposits to them and a web reciept confirming my cashout

the Cust serv/supervisor/ banking dept head said he'd send me an email today confirming I'd receive funds by Friday.

I feel queasy about all this. I'm ommitting some of the detaqils of the conversations to keep this somewhat brief but it all adds up to one question.......

Do these guys pay up?

Please let me know if anyone has actually been out and out stiffed before and possible recourse if any...Much appreciated.

Regards...G

What exactly is the problem here? How long have you waited? How long are they asking you to wait? If the answers are one day and until Friday I don't see how anyone can help you here.

Maybe if your payment is delayed you can worry but worrying about weather or not you should worry is something you probably should have done before requesting a payout, actually before you signed up.
