WOW. I was wondering if I should come back on here (probably in a different WPN thread) and admit that (despite the obvious problems that they deserve **** for) ACR *may* not be as horrible as I've always thought. Because the last two days, while I was on my game I ran $0.90 into about $45 and the next day (today) ran $1 into probably $20. I know others have run better in a day, but both of these rungood/playgoods were a short amount of time and then, unfortunately, I hit a wall, got super tired and instead of being smart and shutting off to sleep I donked it off with some questionable play and calls. I obviously don't blame ACR for that at all although I've never liked the fact that their "certified RNG" for some reason means a 6 max tables with 2 players going to the flop, they're both going to catch big enough hands to potentially bet large amounts.

BUT NO. THIS thread is about the ridiculously horrendous site POKERHOST. I've never been on a worse site in my entire life, and if WPN cared AT ALL about their public image (which I don't think they do) they would disassociate from this skin.

Here is the last email from someone with apparent authority there:

"
Poker Host provide a lot free cash to customer like you that never deposited, or for customers that have lost their balance so they can get back to the tables, also we take care a lot about our real players with the rake back or the VIP program and other promotions were the more you play the more you make.
At this point we did not mind you to taking advantage of the free cash Poker Host provided, However we could not stand you taking advantage over other Players with the chips coming from the inactive players and of course your threats.
Unfortunately our decision is final, we won’t reopen your poker account, it is the best for you and for PokerHost.
Regards
"

So, needless to say, they've chosen the wrong person to **** with, and I have already contacted my attorney (yes, I have no money, helps to have big attorneys in the family) but I don't have their information, an ability to tell him where to process the suit, and the name of the governing body that is SUPPOSED to be watching them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there an option on Host to convert points to tournament tickets? I don't see it anywhere, just points to cash. If not, is this WPN wide or just for this skin? My other skins are RB so I can't check, thanks in advance.

According to an email I received today PokerHost is closing their doors as of the end of July 2018. Get your withdrawal requests in before they're well on the way to becoming a faded memory.

So for years now I've been trying to clear my account on Pokerhost, and they keep bouncing my emails as soon as we've had contact and are saying I have no claim to the balance (~21k). Absolutely ridiculous. Does anyone know of a reliable way to get in contact with them, and the commission that oversees them? Here's the rough timeline of events:

-I deposit and win some money over only a few hands
-They contact me asking my relation to a friend in the same staking deal as me and I provide docs and explanation asked for in the email (we studied in the same poker house at the time, standard)
-No response
-I try to withdraw, get the same email requesting the same info already provided. When I respond, my emails bounce. I try multiple times, and also fill out their online form, no response ever
–Now after I get a notification about pokerhost closing I try logging in which doesn’t work and when I contact them they tell me my account is closed and I'm 'linked to fraud'. I respond with the history of bounced emails and documents AGAIN and it bounces AGAIN
-Write a response now from a different email (that they haven't blocked) and it goes through, get a response telling me that I have no right to the funds because 'I haven't shown interest in 2 years', which is actually wrong, I just couldn't get my emails to not bounce for 2 years
–I now reply from the new email account, what do you know, it bounces.

I'm like 99% sure these guys are just trying to pocket my $20k and adding a rule to their email server to reject replies from me (the bounced emails usually say 'Message cannot be accepted, rules rejection'). Anyone know what I can do about this? The idea that 'not showing interest' absolves them of any responsibility is just about the least professional thing I've ever heard in my life, and that's not to mention that they arbitrarily decided I'm doing something wrong and never gave me an opportunity to prove otherwise.

Just wondering SmokeyJ, if this money was so important to you, why haven't you posted here before seeking help. It seems you've placed a higher priority on pit bulls and the presidential election than on the 20- 21K. No thread started seeking help. No other posts in the last 3 years saying "Hey guys, Pokerhost holding my 20K hostage." Just wondering.

Also seems odd that it took years to try emailing them from a second account, but this thread surprised me in that this place was even still around. Did some business with them years ago and they seemed pretty minor league in how they conducted themselves. Not saying that is a factor in this kind of weird 2 year to complain thing, just a general impression at the time.

I always assumed I'd eventually get the money and that their mailbox was full/faulty, and I've also been busy studying full time and playing on other sites. Dunno where you got 'was so important to you' from, it was mostly in the back of my mind and I'd think of it every few months, but $20k is still $20k and now that I'm on a time limit (20 days?!) and have been straight up told I won't get it, I have to care more.

Yeah I didn't suspect them blocking me, given (as you said) that they're minor league I imagined it was some sort of faulty minor league thing.

Contact the live chat support. I recently had an issue where an account of mine (non-player account) was zero'd out for long-term inactivity. A quick chat session and it was restored within 10 minutes.

Well, I just thought it was strange that with all you had going on, you found time to make multiple posts about pit bulls and the election, but none seeking advice about your 20K.

Their contact information is available even on their site, a phone number, live chat. why no proceed with all options available?? they've been sending multiple emails informing all to take their funds out , so this claim makes no sense. i recommend that you try checking their site in order to contact them.

On behalf of the Poker Host management team we would like to clarify that the username Smokey had an account with a significant balance for 2 years and showed no activity.
As a company policy to ensure the security of our clients account the funds were placed on hold. When Smokey contacted us inquiring about his balance he was informed that the Risk Dept. would review his account and he would be informed of the steps to follow since we had to confirm the customers identity. The full amount payment has already been processed and the customer has been informed. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused but it was with a necessary precaution.

I just found Poker Host and thinking about joining the site. I hear they don't have a lot of traffic, but being in the US, my site choices are limited. I am a "reg rec", currently playing micro stakes and occasional SNG's and low buy-in MTT's on Merge (rarely now, with traffic still decreasing), BetOnline, Poker Stars free chips (for the mixed games), and NLOP. Previous reviews say Poker Host's management was always pretty trustworthy compared to many other sites, but I can't find much up to date info on them. Would appreciate feedback from anyone who plays there.

A few questions.

1. I saw Poker Host closed down in 2018, but now it's up and running again. When did it start back and was it new ownership or what? If new ownership, how have things changed?

2. Do you have to go through an affiliate to get the 27% rakeback or can you join the site directly? If through an affiliate, would like recommendations on a trustworthy one. I know you have to notify support that you want rakeback after you join.

3. They seem to have adopted a lot of the features that were a part of the original Full Tilt, which I loved playing on. Anyone who has played on both sites, please comment.

4. Are HUD's allowed?

5. Are they affected positively or negatively being on the ACR network? I understand they have a different cashier.

I don't know much about PokerHost except what you have already stated.

My only concern for you would be that they are on the Winning Poker Network. You describe yourself as a "reg rec." I would not recommend that network to any person who describes themselves as such.

Maybe if we hear about some big changes regarding game integrity I will start recommending them to more people, but right now I am in a wait and see mode with how effective these changes they plan to implement are.

If your only desire is to play some of the smaller buy-in MTTs there then I think you should be OK. There are still going to be some bots in those games, but the randomized seating of MTTs makes their ability to exploit or collude against you significantly less effective.

Hopefully somebody else can provide you with some information about the new owners and/or why they decided to bring the site back after it was closed down not too long ago.

Thanks for the reply, MCA. I never considered playing on the Winning network before, due to their reputation for 'hard' cash games and lately the bot issues, so just trying to assess how much affect the affiliation has on this skin. I was impressed that reportedly Poker Host previously kept changing networks because they didn't agree with how those nets were being run, but that may not matter if new owners have taken over.

I realize that some things posted on the net never go away, but if they're closed, they definitely fooled me. Guess I'll have to go find a big towel to wipe all the egg off my face. To quote Emily Latela, for those of you old enough to remember her on SNL, "Well, never mind".

If you try clicking on the link to download the software you are directed to sign-up at ACR.

As far as I'm aware the options for players in the USA right now are:
  • BetOnline/SportsBetting
  • Bovada/Ignition
  • Global Poker
  • The WPN sites(ACR, Black Chip, True)
  • SWC Poker
  • Intertops/Juicy Stakes
  • Merge(Not accepting new players)
  • Nitrogen Sports
  • Grand Poker Network(5Dimes, SportBet, Island Casino)
  • Kingsclubpkr
  • PPPoker and similar agent based app sites
  • The regulated sites if you're in New Jersey, Las Vegas or Delaware. Soon Pennsylvania.
