Poker Stars doesn't allowed me to withdraw my money Poker Stars doesn't allowed me to withdraw my money

They sent me this email. The funds are available after i played following their own rules. In spite of this they still don't allow me to get my money.
As you know they are desperate, they tried to steal the money from a player who won a 600k tournament. There are almost no games to play. They are losing most of the customers. I've been playing there for 12 years and I've been Supernova most of the time, but as soon i can get all my money out they will lose me. I am trying to withdraw 10k available but i still have 22k locked in there and I hope they don't steal it from me.

After a routine review of your latest withdrawal it has come to our attention that most of the funds that you withdrew came directly from a transfer received from another player on our site.

Our transfer tool is only meant to help players fund their accounts when they are unable to deposit with deposit options currently available to them. All funds added to your account via transfer must be used to play at our tables.

We are restricted by our license agreement in the Isle of Man and this prevents us from being able to offer a real money transfer service for the purpose of withdrawing.

You should use a money transferring service outside of our site for transfers which are not meant to be played at our tables or games.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us at any time.

i see nothign wrong. Pretty sure they had this rule for a long time now

you can't just have your friend transfer you $$$ then expect to cash it out without playing.

Yeah, usually OPs like this fall in the "LOL WUT" category, and this OP certainly is extremely clumsy and awkward and whiny in how he handles his situations. However, what may very well have happened here is that he received a transfer just before trying to cash out, and if that happens, then sometimes it will automatically block the cashout, even if there was already funds "available" to cash out. The simple solution is play a bit (which needs to happen anyway since he still has a chunk locked) and then the available amount will be there to cash out.

I do not doubt this OP has played for a long time, because he seems to feel entitled to move money around like it was 2006. It aint 2006 no more, and the sites are a lot more strict with how money can be moved, particularly with transfers. While the self-entitled OP will not understand that these rules exist to prevent fraud and money laundering, that does not change why they are now in place. Whining about "will they steal it" is of course eye rolling, but that is also a common reaction among people who have yet to properly adapt and respect how money should be moved in 2018.

karpov,

We are all very sceptical of you here, because PokerStars is typically pretty good at handling these sorts of things. I - like most people in this thread - will typically believe PokerStars by default because so many people make nonsense/extreme/idiotic claims. You might well be an exception to that situation (although, of course, I'm sceptical).

Thus, here are some questions for you to answer that will make your story more plausible. Before you click the "post" button on your reply, stop and re-read what you've written before posting.

What does this actually mean? Can you be more specific about what games you played, and what rules you mean?

This stuff that I've quoted below looks like hyperbolic bull**** to me, and makes you look like a less trustworthy complainant:

+1 to what everyone has already said.

PS: if you're going to be so irrational and whiny when you get angry, you should change your account name to Kasparov instead.

How much did you receive in transfers and what games do you usually play?

Just to provide an additional data point on this topic. I have received the same exact response when trying to cash out my remaining balance from PokerStars. It's only about 500 USD, but it's still frustrating.

I am 99% sure I have not received a player transfer in the last 5 years and about 90% I have not received a player transfer in the last 7 years. Prior to that I probably received/sent money at some time, but can't recall which amounts or when, but it would not be large amounts.

I am really confused why PokerStars would now determine this withdrawal are an issue when I have never had issues in the past.

maybe you should open a new thread or at least post details (e.g. all emails [change private details like (screen) names]).

I have sent an initial response to PokerStars asking for clarifications and have not received a response yet. If I don't receive a satisfactory response or no response at all, I will consider opening a new thread. Just wanted to post it in here, because it was the exact same E-Mail as OP received.

I am not sure what additional details would be relevant right now? The response from PokerStars was identical to the one copied above and I checked my E-Mails up to 2015 and could not find any reference of a player transfer...
