I'm surprised that they haven't just gotten rid of the little thing that shows observer count.

Well that analogy implies consent or agency on the part of the person being "protected".

A better analogy would be "I'm afraid of my hot neighbour being violated by a sex maniac so I've installed hidden cameras in her living room, bedroom and bathroom and am keeping regular watch with binoculars."

Sounds a lot like NSA, PS is just following government guidelines.

Hello,

We are aware that there are sites that collect data from all our games, and we are taking steps to prevent them from doing so. Unfortunately, this is not as easy as flipping a switch, but we have dealt with the issue in the Zoom games, and we expect that we will be able to roll out a solution for the Spin & Gos as well. We are hoping to do so in Q1 of 2016, though it is possible we will have to revise that date.

After the Spin & Go solution is in place, our other games will be covered as quickly as possible.

Thanks,
Baard

Q1 2016.

So Q4 2017 the games will be safe again.

Sorry, I don't believe you

Players in spin games seem robotic which is just IMO however the amount of viewers has doubled or tripled in the last 6 months. This has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY worse. I am glad your company feels proud of itself quantifying effectiveness for something we can never justify ( except Josems detailed graphs) but I can SEE 2 people instantly joining every damn 2x game! with upwards of 3-5 EVERY 2X game. It's nonsense. You can take away the viewers and what will that do. Provide you with an avenue to make a statement like you just did for zoom with no way for players to call your bluff.

Your servers lag everyone, everyday- you provide boilerplate emails to cover up serious issue or lack of ability via intelligence or financial to fix it

Your spin games and assume all games are severely datamined as evidence by the pattern of viewers joining and sheer consistency and volume

This we fight the good fight response is not good enough. You've been saying this for a year. It's obviously not within your abilities to stop or your interest. Which one?

And take down your video. It makes you look even more inept

Look,

I am simply trying to inform you about our plans going forward as it relates to this issue. Whether you choose to believe me or not, is not really something that is under my control.

What is the problem with datamining in spins? You can just:
1. Allow to watch only spins that are in Observe lobby (rest is just invisible)
2. Allow to search only by screen name (if all players are blocked from search feature there will be no observers)
3. Just ban accounts that search for thousands and thousands of games

Datamining is illegal, but people are just doing this for years cause you do not react and as always honest players are in disadvantage.

Q1 2016? That's way too soon. The dataminers worked hard all year on Pokerstars. Datamining is a multi-year endeavour and this is just pulling the rug right out from under your best and most loyal game observers. Once again Pokerstars giving NO NOTICE WHATSOEVER. #RIPdataminers #RIPthedream

And than you try and get the IP banned. I mean, it's just hilarious the measures you people go through to protect a more corrupting industry and company. Bots ran for over a year undetected ( at least we take your word for it right ) How much extra rake is letting these dataminers and spin bots run generate. Do you need to run a cost anaysis a little longer on that one? I think stealing super novas money off " we could have done more" is not the only shortcomings going on over there.

If you didn't have bots killing the ecosystem wouldn't need to steal money from all the SNE

I've sure run horribly in tournaments since this thread. I guess trying to ban ip wasn't enough

Now they introduce "black jack" tournaments to pca events saying they are trying to draw customers in to poker. I don;t think Pokerstars was acquired to bring casino to poker. It was to grab hold of the poker base and force them in to casino games where they don;t have to pay large amounts of money to try and police something they can't. I mean, they can't even provide cameras to live events and ensure integrity and they bs around that.

These 2 sentences make you sound dumber than your thread trying to snitch on an "underage" player.
