Hi guys, this probably a noob question but I recently ran it up on Party Poker and wanted to cashout. However I was told I needed to upload some form of government Id to prove who I am. Does anyone have any Experience with this? Im new to the site and wanted to make sure this is safe, because on other sites you dont need to do this

You've gotten lucky then, this is standard for most sites to do.

Well TBH ive only played on Pokerstars and they dont make you do this, So I guess my exp with other poker sites is limited

Pokerstars most definitely has you do this.

This and unless you're multiaccounting, you have nothing to worry about. Just give them an ID.

I don't play on stars anymore but never once did I need to submit government docs and I made dozens of withdrawals over the course of years. Yes it is still standard industry practice but they don't necessarily request it from everybody. At least stars didn't pre-Amaya.

I haven't played on Stars since Black Friday and I can tell you that everyone of the regs had to send in documents at the same time because it became their standard around 09.
