This thread is for the sit out issue at party. PartyRep has stated that it is now against TOC to sit out on one table and play others, if the reason is that the weaker player has sat out.

A lot of players, myself included, have been reporting sit out players to party in hopes that the counter measures they have put in place would be carried out. Still a lot of these players continue to sit out when the fish sits out.

This means:

A) Party is having a tough time tracking down these players
B) Party is issuing warnings but not following up on them
C) They aren't doing anything.

I would like to give them the benefit of doubt and assume the answer is A. Therefore, we are going to help them by posting as many screen shots of players sitting out on one table and sitting in on others. After awhile the evidence of these same players doing it over and over again will be convincing and public.

If you want to take part, when you see the same players doing this over and over, take a screen shot with both them sitting out and sitting in, and then post it here.

Lastly, I would ask that we don't pollute this thread with random posts or thoughts on the matter. Lets simply provide a screenshot with whatever text you want to use to describe the situation, but please don't make posts without screenshots. Leave those for other threads like:

This problem appears to be worse than ever. Full table sat out today when fish sat out for a few minutes. Disgusting.

Im not a cash game player, but i really appreciate what you are doing here. I cant stand this kind of scummery, and i second harangutang, it is 'disgusting'

purple box table on middle-left has a rec player that sitting out. have been playing hu w/ googolxxxxgod while the rest of the world sits out for 10-15 hands. but they're active on the other tables. party needs to take action because this behaviour is filtering down to small stakes and it's unacceptable.

I can't play there but agree that it is bad when the whole table just sits out everytime the fish sits out. Here are some reasons why:

1. Fish comes back sees everyone sitting out and may leave.

2. New fish won't come because everyone is sitting out so they don't want to play there.

3. It is unfair to the other players including the fish.

There are probably a bunch of other reasons but it is unacceptable behavior that really needs to be dealt with.

I think if you out them, you should also out all HU regs that just sit at like ten tables in the same limit and obviously sit out if you join them. At least they could implement something like pokerstars, one table per person.

Players Hajnimajni and Lovecheese join two regulars playing on a 6max table and sitout, waiting for a fish to join. Result: no one playing.

Here are a bunch of them I made on friday but didnt have time to put up until today. On one of them the "fish" has just sat back in but 3 of the guys are still sitting out and they sit in on next orbit.

Just scrolled over the OP, but would be good to include regs who purposely sit at a HUHU table with an opponent they have no intention of playing, in order to take advantage of the new (bug?) in party software where both players get kicked after a few mins.

for anyone that might come in here to say that YouSureSir is just jealous of those scumbags -> he's crushing the games for a very good winrate playing almost any tables for long sessions.

Sure it's unethical and pretty scummy, but it is an almost impossible rule to enforce. It's been happening since the beginning of time, and will continue to exist now and in the future. It's just something we have to deal with, like players berating fish at the table, etc.

I don't play at Party, but as spring83 says, the problem is ubiquitous.

It seems to me that the solution to this, and several other forms of douchery, is the Rush/Zoom model for internet poker. I know it is not everyone's favourite format, but if you have to play conventional ring games online, you will have to put up with all the douchery that goes with the territory, or impose some pretty draconian, game-changing penalties and loss of facilities.

what the regs have suggested to party is a rule where if you sitout at one table you have to sitout at all your tables

it can be enforced by just programming it to the software and it would fix many if not all of the problems

When getting to the top of the waiting list for a table with juicy stats, I used to wonder if I'd missed the fish. Nowadays that question is often answered by the sight of half the table either sitting out or leaving.

I think anonymous tables are the way ahead (note: I'd only be happy playing on these tables at a site which I know to be reputable & trustworthy - Party are one of the few that make that list).

What we are trying to accomplish in this thread is a positive change for online poker. Poker stars has been doing this for awhile. If you only have negative comments to make, then open a new thread and go on there about how "it is a mute point."

I've seen the warnings party is now giving out, and if we continue to report and they continue to act then the playing environment will be 10x better for regulars and recreational players having fun.

I've always said it, online poker should emulate live poker. In live poker you would not be allowed to sit out and wait every time the weaker player sat out. Eventually you would be banned from playing there. The problem is not ubiquitous, and party is now on it's way to working with players to help resolve this behavior. Why derail that with negativity?
