watch out for people impersonating ppls accounts on here and trying to contact you via email one of the emails that is being used is wsshead@aol he is claiming to be depechkn

^^ Just a random question...but why would anyone on here be engaging in trading through email unless it was someone you've dealt with extensively before? Common sense people.

Warning there is a guy on pocket fives named jjohnston123 that is scamming people as we speak. He is offering 250 chase quick pay for 290 on Lock. So if you get anyone offering this deal just be careful

so far 2 guys that i know of got scammed by pretenders

This is exactly the e-mail info that should be posted in this thread.

It tells the exact 2+2 account that sent the email.
In this case I banned non-posting account wshead who was emailing potential victims who have their email listed in their 2+2 profiles.

Why anybody would ever even respond to these random, unknown emailers is a constant mystery.
Please post itt their 2+2 IDs from the
email line.


Mimic accounts are easy to set up.
If you receive an email that says:

^^ I know on a forum site I used to run for my sim hockey league, I could pre-ban the usage of specific usernames from being created by anyone since we operated a free-to-register forum (I did have it set for admin approval though...but just in case). So in essence, if I was SHL Commish on that forum, I could deny usage of any variation of that name I could think of.

I take it that function can't be enabled here?

Figured I should share that a forum member with the handle "BigCowboysFan" scammed me out of $35 bucks back at the beginning of July. I haven't been on here too much, so sorry to post this so late. I sent him $30 on Lock and he was supposed to send a $35 amazon card when he got paid in a few days or whatever. I contacted him several times and he made excuses everytime and then stopped communicating with me. My Handle on Lock is Greedy284186.

If someone has a @aol email, 90% chance they are a scammer.

Can you provide a little bit more info here? You're basically a brand new account asking to trade a good deal of money here. I see that Lock name has some stats on sharkscope but the ACR account (where you would be receiving funds) has almost no activity except for some penny stakes from years ago that I can see. Just asking this because you've signed up for 2p2 in the last 12 days and have basically no posts, I'm by no means insinuating anything.

I joined on ACR before the MOSS series (lol).

How do I report a scammer? "Kuchcio" pm'd me offering paypal for my true, I agreed, he sent me an email from intended to look like an email from paypal but it was from his email address. Now hes sending me more emails trying to get me to login through his links so he can steal my password.

no e-mails was sent, he just doesn't know how to use paypal lol. So sad and never went with a transfer on the site dunno who is scammer here

btw got screens shots of the transactions before he said he won't send

Either way, Paypal is banned from this thread for a reason. Please read page 1 "the rules" before doing anymore trades here.

Nothing personal on the 18 thing was just covering all the bases. I use PayPal some myself but only with "trusted poker friends" and not a part of the the p2p xfer thread

i understand, makes sense, i also have one hsreg who i trade paypal with, i guess if i eevr had to do a big trade id have him come on here and vouch, as he is well trusted on this forum...i mostly do smaller trades for horses...but i dont want to randomly post, "have 20k bcp" ya know?

i obv wouldnt post it...just asking as i can use the thread as a medium and call it "alternative trading method" or some wording
