Hi. I play turbo hu sng-s at pokerstars for a lot of years. I had to make a thread because it is just ridiculous situation. So in 2017 I noticed players keep writing in chats all kinds of things. Accusations of all kind of cheats (being a bot, being a ps employee who is there to drive the games, sharing account u name it). I also received plenty of death wish for me and my family from the "great" regular players. I really didn't care about these things until in the chatbox appeared a text and had 30 seconds to write it in the chat the to confirm I am not a bot. This happened twice. Then a player told me about a thread about me in this forum. Here is the thread link.

I found I was reported and verified by ps. They found nothing. This year thing got heated. All the regulars keep harassing and threatening me as they joined together vs. me. They threatened to report me and I told them please do it. The cheating accusation were almost a daily's thing. For a while I turned of the chat and even contacted ps about these allegations and I asked to make a full review about my account. Nothing happened until yesterday when I recieved this email.

"We are writing to advise that your Stars Account has been frozen for a security review.

Please explain in specific detail what you have done over the last year in terms of studying, coaching and anything to improve your poker game and advantage over your opponents. Particular details that must be included are:

User IDs of all players you have worked with in any capacity;
Sites other than Stars where you’ve been playing, and your game selection there;
Software, tools and methods used to study;
Software and tools used as you play on Stars, and likewise for other sites;
Do you use charts or any other reference material to assist your play? If so, please provide us with details and complete copies of them.


Please also explain in specific detail your hardware setup. Particular details that must be included are:

The specifications of the different devices used to play on your Stars account;
Specifications of your most usually used setup while playing on your Stars account;
Any changes and a timeline of significant updates and changes to the above;
Any reasons for your device and computer peripheral specifications.
Where do you access our site from? (home, office, etc)
What kind of connection you use? (Wifi, 3G/4G, etc)
Did you receive assistance in setting up your computer? If so, please provide the details.


The account privileges of your Stars Account, have been suspended pending the outcome of our review. So why and how this started?
Firstly because I don't have a table selection, I play almost everyone and the regulars didn't like this at all. They called me donk and fish and still they were upset I played against them. I told them if I am fish you should be happy that I am sitting at your table. Real regular even accused me that I am a fish who's account is rigged by ps to win. Really? I don't bum hunt, I don't use seating scripts, I am not using any kind of software tools...absolutely nothing. I don't even have a tracker. The one thing I used in the past is sharkscope. I don't like to wait for free lobby's, because there never is one without a regular. I want to play. I know that it hurts my profit playing vs. good regulars, but from the moment they accused of cheating my ego reacted. I was willing to make adjustments, but they went to far.
Secondly they pointed out that I played inhuman hours and games and that is not possible for one person to do that. Well unfortunately it is possible. When running really bad and tilting my days were like this. Woke up and instant logged in. I played until I literally couldn't keep my eyes open (18 hours of play). During the day maybe I eat a sandwich and that was it. I slept 4 hours and the cycle continued until I was exhausted. There were times when it went for a week...probably this is why I lost a lot of weight. During this period I tilted, played bad and of course i lost. When finally things went my way and running good I played like 2-3 hours daily. This doesn't bother nobody and no one notice it. So believe me it is possible to play this amount of games.
So I ask u players with experience if I am a bot, if I have shared account, if the games are rigged for me would I go through this poker torture? This isn't a one time thing unfortunetaly. Lately I tried to have some control over these downswing, but still I can easily play 10 hours a day without torturing myself. So all these accusations are really ridiculous, because I know my only "mistake" is play everyone and some periods of time taking playing to extreme. Ps has all my hand history and logging and ip logs and am 100% willing to share any of the data I can with you. Ps now is verifying my account for a few days, but I just wanted to share this. When not bumhunting and sometimes being a poker maniac become cheating by the standards of the so called regulars?

Consider answering each of their questions in a calm, professional manner. Your overly emotional approach to the situation does not help you, and even if you are being fully honest, the problem is you are behaving in pretty much the exact way someone who is guilty tends to behave.

Stop doing that and even if it takes a few hours - calmly and politely and honestly list and answer each of their questions, so instead of a whiny ramble about regs calling you donks and self torture. Instead, try something like:

I understand the heads up games I play can lead to a lot of emotion from opponents, and from myself. Many of my opponents have threatened to report me out of spite, so please consider that as we go through this process. As to your questions, I am happy to answer them, so let me do that one at a time.

I have never worked directly with another player (or say who you have if you did).

2) Sites other than Stars where you’ve been playing, and your game selection there;

List the answer to those

repeat for all their concerns and end with

I hope these answers satisfy your requirements, and if you need anything else please let me know. I appreciate that this matter be handled in as quickly a way as possible, as I am looking forward to playing again, even if it means making some regs a bit angry!




Use a template along those lines and you will get a lot better reaction and service.

I already replied to them and answered politely to all the questions they asked. But it is upsetting when I know what I did and what I didn't to.

Just answer what they are asking for. I mean I can't think of a single regular, who crushes any kind of game and got banned for no reason. So if you are not guilty you will be fine.

I answered to them maybe to honestly. The thing is I upset many of the regulars and they really are committed to ban me. This is why I am outraged...i don't know if this happened before.

Maybe again ask Stars to look at what have been said to you in chat -->

There were two diferrent ocassions. Both were saying things like i really wish you would die. I hope that all of your family will die. And repeated a few times. I don't take it to the heart.

I appreciate you believing anyone who says things at their face value, as that is I suppose a sweet, albeit naive, approach when low post OPs scream about their issues.

In the real world behaving like a professional adult tends to create a better response. However, if the OP would prefer to use your approach as a guide, he certainly can do that and the results will more likely reflect that enlightened lifestyle choice you hold so dear.

I openly acknowledge it was a waste of time trying to suggest professional behaviour to the OP. I would never suggest such a thing to someone like you. No point, and much more fun to let you do your crazy angry thing (which is exactly how guilty people tend to behave) and enjoy the outcome of your choice.

Monteroy...yes it is better to be calm and collected. No doubt. But there are two options. Either i am lying or telling the truth. If i am lying they will find out about it and i will be punished and baned and this thread was useless. But...if am telling the truth, don't u think i have the right to be outraged and emotional when they accuse of something i didn't do? I earn a living from poker so maybe it isn't so easy to be calm like u say to be.

You can always choose to be outraged if that makes you feel better, but it nearly always makes resolving issues harder for you. Choice is yours in the end, and to be blunt its not any difference to me what you decide.

I have been on more rooms and networks over the years than you even knew existed, including quite a few casinos when I organized a team that hit up many of them during the bonus era (we even got Canada banned from one which we looked at with some pride). I lost track of the number of issues that happened over the years, some of which I had a very reasonable and easy case, and some that were shall we say a bit of a stretch in terms of how sympathetic our side was, but they were always handled with politeness and professionalism, and I can barely remember any being resolved poorly, even when what we were asking for was somewhat unreasonable.

Do I get outraged if someone says I did something I did not do? Not at all, I completely do not care from an emotional perspective, and perhaps that is why getting these types of situations resolved has not been much difficulty for me in the past.

Do I totally believe your story? Not sure. I know that there is no chance Stars is looking at you just because other regs whined or did silly trash talking. Something in your play history matches suspicious behaviour, and that is what triggers these things. In some cases the player is perfectly innocent, and if they behave in a calm manner and provide the information required then it gets resolved. Many times people with no posts who start these threads are not telling the entire truth, even if some people want to believe everything they read at times if it helps them feel angry.

Seems reasonable of PokerStars to detect something suspicious, and to investigate it. Any good investigation will include asking questions of the accused. This seems very reasonable to me, and is good!

So i thought i will let you know about the result of the investigation. After i answered to all of their questions i had to make a video of me and my surroundings, after which i had to record a 70 minutes session with me playing from an angle where they could see my hands and the tables i played. As i said this happened only because a lot of the regulars didn't liked that i kept playing against them and they joined against me when i didn't do absolutely nothing wrong. So after 10 days with frozen account and on of the most thorough investigation this was their reply.

We have not concluded any violations of our Terms of Service by you. However, we would like you to provide us with an acknowledgement of our Terms of Service and Third Party Tools Policies, before we can reinstate your Stars Account. You can find them on the following web pages:

Your play triggered a checking mechanism (bot I suppose), so they wanted to confirm that you were a human doing your play, and you did, so its fine. You pretty much said you play inhuman hours at times, so understand that most who have that type of play are not human. Hence, they want to check. Other regs whining/trash talking at the tables or reporting you has nothing to do with it. If a reg emailing in a complaint triggered an auto freeze of another player's account then suffice it to say this would be abused quite a bit.

All of this (from Pokerstars) followed a pretty rational and professional, and your extreme emotion probably only slowed the progress, but again that is your choice to make in the future.

Monteroy...come on man. I see you how may posts you have, but you are a little bit off. It wasn't pokerstars who started this...they saw that was nothing off about me. Over 20 regulars joined together to ban me...simpe as that. If u saw the chats and what they wrote u would see how much they are angry that i kept playing them...and not using all the softwares and seat scripts. You keep saying the emotion factor, but they were the pussy and were whi acted emotianlly and not with logic and common sense.

Nah, the regs had literally nothing to do with it. All the stuff you posted was very tame compared to the stuff I would see daily when I played DoNs many years ago. One reg made death threats so often that we wondered if he was not feeling well when he did not make them some days. I lost track of how many times I saw people wish Cancer or AIDS or Syphilis (rarely spelled correctly) on another player, but I did chuckle when someone hoped another player got a stubbed toe (at least that was original).

Your play was basically similar to that of a bot or something along those lines, and that is why Stars investigated. Again, if simple emails from regs is all that was needed to get Stars to freeze accounts, then groups of people would be grief reporting players all the time. It just does not work like that.

With all of that said, you can feel whatever you like, and maybe all of your emotional beliefs make you feel more like a hero or martyr in the situation if that makes you feel better.

@OP Well if you really believe that this was because the regulars reported you, then return the favor and report all their chat abuse against you since this is not allowed on stars.
