I'm sure this question has been asked, but is Party raking the entire pot size? What I mean is, for instance, if you open shove for $50 and it does not get called, are they taking rake on a $50.75 dollar pot (50+.25SB+.50BB)? Or are they raking the $1.25 (.50+SB+BB) real pot?

If you notice at PTR they are calling the biggest pots of the day 30K pots when when guy is shoving in his 30K stack and the other guy has 2K left and is folding. It's really like a 4K pot and it got me wondering how they are raking their hands.

I would like to know whether or not it is site policy to Block Cashouts for any new account before they have talked to the depositor by phone first.

And yes I have contacted CS without getting a clear response except that they would like to talk to me before I can withdraw even though I made the min deposit and attempted to withdraw before even playing a hand because of other issues I had with the site.

No. I did my first cash out last week. Requested a wire on Friday and it was in my bank account on tuesday. No phone call no additional documents.

Most sites take issue with moving money without giving action.

Thanks, I figured as much and as such have started a topic regarding what this whole thing is about.

Hello, can I ask someone of you who plays on Party poker regurally if you have some calculation about party poker promotions? I want to make palladium elite level and dont know how much I can calculate promotions on average to the rakeback. I have an opinion about average 10%, where some of them are better (gladiator) and some are worse, so generally how much is addition to reg rakeback (bonuses) from promotions in whole year? Thank you so much!

I have no real clue, but I would guess it adds about 3-5% for all your play including when there is no promo, or the promo is an all or nothing thing and you miss someitmes blah blah

Is there any reason why someone would not want to opt in for the promo?

that's from some records i keep. much less than elite place, but that's an average of 13.2%.

gladiator runs 2 months a year, about the same both times. elite pace is 13333 points/month, so from this chart you'd get at least 16%. snowball and play less win more are quite good promos too, about the same

then some months you have low value promos like world domination and get 2%, or a lame promo they had a while back where you can play 1 $5k freeroll every day for 5 points, which is 0% if u ignore those.

luck based lotteries like lucky card/big draw will probably give back at least 10% to elite pace grinders.

it's impossible to generalise, you just have to calculate it for your own play but i'd say on average palladium elites get an extra 15% at least from promos alone, perhaps more, and then you have random reload bonuses too

edit: also see this post http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...2&postcount=61

This is 100% absolutely not site policy. Under account -> messaging you can opt immediately to only be contacted via email by opting out of phone, SMS, and regular mail

It is site policy, however, to prevent cashouts and transfers out of accounts before the accounts are "verified" which normally entails electronically sending in ID and utility bills.

No. Just sometimes they make you opt in to the promos rather than being entered automatically. Not sure why, but no big deal I guess.

Problem with partypoker is that they just think profit.

If they stopped up and thought about what the players want, it would be a diffrent story.

What they keep forgetting is that pokerplayers generally like to gamble also, so not just do they miss out on rake, but people spinning the roulettwheels to.

Time to cash out for now. Hope they improve.

New promo (yeah right)

Welcome to our $5,000 Bankroll Booster promotion.

Book your seat in the $5,000 Bankroll Booster every Sunday at 14:30 ET for the simplest way to improve your account balance.

You need to collect 5 points each week and then you're qualified for a 5k freeroll with a gazillion entrants every sunday. Just great!

Actually they invest millions back into the player pool in monthly promos, they're known for doing more in that regard than most if not all sites. On Full Tilt a 'promo' was the occasional Take 2 week where you could win $20 minus an MGR hit. On Party you can earn a WSOP/WPT package/cash alternative just for independently raking a large amount (twice a year, in the gladiator promo months, May and Nov), no other site offers that.

Party has massive software, technical and competency issues, and the recent promo was shocking executed, but saying they are a skeleton site that only exists to rake as much from its players as possible is totally false- that's Cake and Ipoker. Do you see those sites sponsoring TV shows and organising poker tours? No. Does Party? Yes.

Correct, next month the promo will probably "suck" but that will be quickly followed by WPT Gladiator, I predict/speculate at least
