How come pokerstars never asked me for ID? I've had an account there for years and they've never asked. Also what if I didnt happen to have any ID? They would just lock the account and keep my money?

Doesn't matter what other sites do. It's partys policy and you agreed to that after opening an account.

They have pretty much the same tac as pokerstars. You just are either opening a second account or using false information for some other reason or you are really dumb as a rock.



You can't even procede without marking that you have red tac and pp.

I don't need to, I've got a job. I deposited $10 and played the lowest possible stakes yet now apparently I need ID otherwise they are going to "block" my account. As I said before the terms and conditions are predatory and illegal. They've got my address, my phone number and my bank card details, now apparently they want to see my passport too, otherwise it's account blocked and I'm not able to access my own money, which I doubled by the way.

What exactly does blocking my account mean? What if I say I don't want to show you ID and I want my money back? Do I need to take legal action against you to get my $20 back? I will take this to court if need be.

There T&C's are not illegal - quite the opposite in fact. You obviously lack an understanding on such matters.

LOL @ you threatening to take them to court for your $20. Even if that statement wasn't such a joke and you we're to seriously pursue it, you don't have a leg to stand on legally and would lose far more than $20 in the process.

Why you made such a big deal out of simply being asked to confirm your identity in the first place I don't know. It's not a hard task being asked of you and once done, you have full account privileges moving forward.

I get the feeling that your kicking up a fuss for an entirely different reason than simply the principle of being asked to provide the info, like you state is behind it.

It wouldn't surprise me if PartyPoker now turn around and say they no longer want you as a customer full stop, which they are also within there rights to do.

I don't have a camera phone so it's inconvenient for me to get a pic of my passport. Also as I only deposited $10 and play micro stakes, proving my identity should not be a matter of urgency to the extent that they will soon be blocking my account over it. It's not like I'm a teenager depositing money off my parents credit card. RiggyStars policy of asking for ID on cashout is far more sensible. doing stuff like this will just further alienate paltry poker's customers and player numbers on the site will become even more scarce. If I am compensated to the tune of $20 put into my account and allowed to supply ID in my own time then I will keep the peace. If not then it's legal action and if that fails I'll be getting in touch with my family in southern italy and see what they can do about it.

I was in two. Just to tilt me more the party poker status page https://www.partypoker.com/health.html says that the real money games status is fair. Not poor or bad which are the two statuses below fair. I wonder what has to happen for the status to be bad. This seems to be a complete (global) crash
