Have any of you PMd the rep account asking for a response? It's worked for me in the past.

Sorry but I do not see the point. Its his ****n job to read this thread and respond to what the users post. Also its not like this is stuff that only one or maybe two users came up with. The world domination promo was a topic of several pages and all he did was literally posting an announcement of the next promo and maybe some short sentence about the promo not being rigged or something liket that. And players complain about the software also very often. To me it is clear that they avoid those questions and hope they go away kinda.

Party was running OK for me until the last update or two: it seems that something they added in them is using loads of CPU and causing "chug spikes".

(I've not actually been playing much recently though so it's possible a more recent update has now fixed this)

Juk

Did they merge the bwin and party player pools yet? If not, is there some other reason volume is much higher than normal?

what you mean..i have not noticed a bigger player pool over the last weeks. from what I can tell (but i might be wrong) its been a little less since world domination promo but only slightly....so pretty much steady the last weeks IMO.

but I still can not believe that they are not able to do anything against it. they are currently number #2 and they do literally nothing special to secure or even strenghten their position. IMO the only reason they are #2 is mainly because most other sites behind them have some huge disadvantages themselves and not because party is such a strong brand. for a site that big a software like this is pretty much a joke IMO. i have posted this a few weeks before...i was able to play 16 tables on FTP without any software help...no table ninja or bet script...just FTP.....but I can not play more than 6 tables on party without timing out constantly and going on lifetilt.
They're #3.
And falling.
Fast.

Apart from the obvious problem with the memory leak i think the software is great. With the right theme tables are clear and multi tabling is a breeze.

The servers suck tho.

+1
Agree 100%, also I feel that even without the memory leak problem, the resources use by the lobby is on the high end vs the other poker sites.

there are some free programs you can use to set a higher priority to poker applications, client lobby etc.:

also as mentioned before if you minimise everything it helps

Lololololololol.

And they changed rake at $3/6 NL+ to a $5 cap. Ya, they must really hate their customers. Way to **** yourself Party.

does party do any points tournys like stars does so you can get decent rakeback on your points even if you're not a high VIP level ?

Basically for winning grinders this means the $3k bonuses are worth about 20-22% RB when compared to Stars/iPoker and their way of calculating. A+ Party ******s. The fish pocket the points difference and they'll never spend it or spend it at a terrible rate which means Party pockets the difference.

20% at Party, 40%+ at Stars, or 50% at iPoker? Hmmm, wonder which one I'll be playing at?

Oh and it bears repeating that $5 rake cap at $3/6-10/20 NL is really, really dumb.

I suggest emailing VIP and letting them know how you feel.

As posted above, later this week, PartyPoker will move from a dealt to a weighted contributed method of rake collection.

Currently every player dealt into a hand is attributed an equal portion of rake and earns points regardless of the amount, if any, they contribute to the pot. With the new method only players who contribute to the pot will be assigned rake and the amount will be in proportion to the amount they contribute.

We are taking this move as it is a more fair way of attributing rake and will mean that players who put money into the pot will earn more points accordingly.

With regards to the memory / CPU issues reported here, we are investigating with the utmost priority. Thankyou to all of you who have posted here or provided further information by PM.

The information you provide is useful in helping us identify the issue. I will post back here when I have further information.

Party, you do realize that everyone else except for Ongame (which you run, surprise) uses dealt method, right? Your big competitors Stars and iPoker that already offer more rakeback than you now have an even bigger edge on you?

Tell me, how much less do you expect to payout in rakeback now? Pure money grab ainec.

Oh also, now $2 max rake cap at 3/6+ HU. HAHAHAHAAHA. Your rake was already twice HU what it should've been, and now you've decided to double it?

PartyRep,

How are the ridiculous rake increases more fair again?
