Right now it's Live Ace's money. They have to take a loss at first, just like if I open a liquor store in my town I'd have to buy liquor/wages/rent/utilities using money I and any partners put in the company's coffers.

Unless I'm missing something Live Ace's business model is...

Ad $+membership $ > Auction $+website/server cost+employee $

I mean, we can open a FREE account, win some chips, cash a check, and it's basically money for nothing. I get that SOME people are actually going to pay $19.95 a month for the site and that you get ad revenue, and revenue from sales of chips, but it seems to me that basically anyone can come in and win money without ever having to deposit a penny. It seems like you're taking an awful risk that enough people will actually pay to play here when they can just play for free.

How is the business model sustainable?

BTW this was post #1111 for me
Almost every business takes a hit when they start and its safe to assume that for this site. But its hard to speculate how the site is doing when we don't know the exact numbers.

Working to recreate the bug that you experienced on table Capella and table Corvus - no luck to date but we will keep trying.

This one is a bit harder and was completely accidental =/

Yes we're aware of this and working on it. Use Check/Fold preflop and Fold to Any postflop for now.

this happen to someone i was playing against. and the guy said he did not leave the table. what happened was that he was playing on a lap top and he lost wireless connection for 2 minutes then rejoined the table. he had 2k in chips on a omaha table and rejoined with 400

oh also, sometimes this thing spazes out and 3bets for no reason. It happened pre and post flop on different hands. Not sure why it did it though.

Found a glitch in bidding for auctions. I wonder how many people have done this, because I dont think anyone would report extra winnings.

I was using firefox and the tables kept losing connection and when I finally got a table up the table would blink so I could not really play... what should I do?

do you only get the 1600 chips sign up award once or every time you subscribe to club live?

We're not aware of any widespread issue...try to hit F5 to refresh the table or restart your PC (make sure you have latest version of Firefox or Chrome). PM me if you continue to have issues.

You get it upon signup to Club Live (the day you sign up) and then again the 1st day of every month that you are a member.

When topping up I have to watch a video about Live Ace. Is it ever going to be something else (ads)?

You know you can look away from the video. They will never know.

And just press finished

I know this. My point was LiveAce needs either players paying or ads and it'd be nice if they replaced the Live Ace video with an ad so the site stays going+more prizes.
09-03-2013 , 09:33 PM
Agreed, and ideally both. The best thing we can do for the site is to refer additional players so that the have a large enough player base to generate revenue from the ads and have a better chance of people buying subscriptions and chips.

Question: Does anyone else notice a wide gap in the lag between 3 and 4+ tables? Based on my hardware and connection speed I doubt that it's an issue on my end, but would love more data points.

The software is still crap!
I have not got any of my ? answered or my emails!
I sit at a table i have wait for bb checked it does not deal me in on my bb.
I sit at a table i have wait for bb un-checked it does not deal me in.
what exactly is going on?
09-04-2013 , 02:00 AM
I do not have those issues with posting the bb.

The software is not great but it is playable. Fixes that seem simple are usually not.

For me the one thing that would be nice is a sit out next blind option. I know others have asked for sit out next bb but with the forward moving button it should be next blind. As it is now I sit out a hand or 2 early incase players to my right sit out before me.

The best thing about this software compared to other browser based software I have used (small sample size) is that the tables can be placed outside the browser window. I can put them on another monitor.
09-04-2013 , 01:19 PM
The sit out next blind would be nice but not a huge deal for me. I just press sit out, and it sits me out next hand. Software could be a little more faster, but its pretty decent. Sometimes the lag is really annoying and you really have to be careful not to click on the check/call or bet button twice. When you are raising all in, it doesnt put me all in and leaves chips behind - that needs to be fixed!

Also, what is the best browser to play on?
