ACR Response

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for choosing America's Card Room.

Please note that the "Mini Blackjack" games cannot be restricted on our software and this game is not included on the group
of games on our Casino page.

Please note that we cannot take responsibility on this matter. If you have further questions please feel free to review our terms and conditions:

MY Response:

Thank you for your prompt response If that casino game cannot be
disabled I will be cashing out and closing my account shortly. I find
it quite ridiculous that you guys cannot disable a game on your own
software. But if that's how it works then thats how it works have a
good one.

Just a side thought how can you guys say you advocate responsible gaming and then not have the ability to disable a feature on your own software?

I'm confused by this. There was a big deal made about the switch from rakeback to Combat Points, and now we need Rank Points, whatever those are.

I don't completely agree with your point here. They told him they would lock him out of casino games, and based on that assurance he agreed to play poker on the site. The site may not be completely at fault, but there is certainly negligence on both sides.

If this case was in a US court, the decision might be that the site was negligent, but that the award would be reduced based on the player's percentage of contributory negligence.

It's pretty standard that if a person asks to be self-excluded from a casino, that casino must never service that player by law. Online, it's a bit murky, as they are self-excluding from one set of games and not from another.

In this case (from his post), the site did exclude him from casino games for three months by his request. He didn't just log on one day, flush his roll and wants it back. That's completely different.

TBH, though, anyone that wishes to be self-excluded from any game on a site should be booted off the site permanently. It's just the right thing to do, IMO (and it prevents **** like this from happening).

I agree. Atleast take them off of the 10NL Tables. I just noticed there are some 5NL tables now. Atleast 5NL are not BBJ tables.

I've gotten a couple checks and each time it took 3 weeks.

In regards to combat points, I'm currently a rakeback player, though it still shows that I'm accumulating combat points. If I decide to switch over, will the points be reset to 0?

Exactly my point thank you. I do realize that I have trouble with that blackjack button so that's why I disabled it. (not trying to detract from how dejen that sounds) lol .

But as they said the miniblackjack is not on their page of casino games and they cannot exclude it on their software so this guy should have the self restraint to not do it. Also i find it hard to believe if you are a problem gambler you have the ability to not be addicted to poker but your addicted to casino games. So i agree that if you are self-excluded from one game you should be self-excluded from all.

This was kind of my point for posting the chat exchange up here? My point was how do you not have the ability to cancel a feature on your own software? What does that say about the sites ability to act should there be a breach in software security? Oh and btw last time i checked if you play blackjack on a tiny table its still blackjack .

I'm on your side for this situation. It should have been blocked regardless if its part of the casino portion or not.

Their security is probably is a joke (like every other site), but that doesn't have anything to do with disabling BJ from their client; they just didn't want to spend the time coding out the BJ for one dude that can't control himself.
