i've had this explained in very little detail before but i wondered if one of you guys could answer this.

At what point/VIP level/#VPP's does does stars become more profitable in terms of RB/Bonuses or w/e you want to call it than the standard 27% at FTP.

FWIW, if i can find a way of not playing FTP's horrible software/support then i will.

EDIT: I think the freerolls are cool, but i think they should make them a little more profitable to play by increasing the prizepool a little or something.

I wouldn't mind playing that 50K freeroll once a week on the side. But why the f can any old busto fish satellite into the Supernova freeroll?
I would imagine the fields being considerably smaller if the freeroll were for Supernovas only. Why do we have to share "our" freeroll with Silver Stars and whatnot?

Then again, I don't even know how many of those satellites run and how much of a difference it would make, never really looked into it. But with about 1,600 players, the value of each SN freeroll is only around $30.

For those who aren't aware:

Fractional VPPs will be introduced in February or March. Nobody knows what the structure is at this point, and there is a chance that they might just be for the micro games.
Scotty said he hasn't heard back about proposed changes to the VIP program for 2009 yet. We're hoping to hear if anything has changed on January 1st.

I think the status quo is horrible.

Either add more money to them or get rid of them. Unfortunately, everybody else seems to want one or the other, and that's probably the reason that Stars decided to just leave them alone.

I have set up a sick spreadsheet for 2009 tracking. It computes things like RB on MGR and Actual, and pro rates milestone bonus by VPP earned per game (e.g. 3/6 6M LHE).

What is all this about fractional VPP? It would be so awesome if I could actually get VPP when I play HU (low stakes) and pay a ton of rake.

So, I doubt I will actually go for SNE in 2009, since I need a lot of things to go right and wrong. (Going right is poker type stuff ldo, going wrong is still not finding a new job). But whatever the case, I am prepared to quantify everything!

Can someone tell me the rakeback % for a 10/20 fixed limit player that hits SNE?

Stars if you can change the program to make elite worth 70% rakeback you will get my 10k mgr next year.

Well idk I'm assuming it'll be similar to this month since all the grinders trying to make milestone bonuses and last-minute sne were out. I'm hoping that middle of the year it's up to ~.45-.47 again but I think it's better not to plan and assume that.

Make me do work and stuff.

Scotty says fractional VPPs will be introduced in early 2009.

Scotty says fractional VPPs will be introduced in either February or March.

Alex confirms that fractional VPPs will be introduced.

Scotty has submitted proposed VIP changes to upper management.

Scotty has not heard back from management on proposed changes.

Wow, fractional would be sick. a 500k level or even 600k level would be sick. Im not an rediculous either a)cash game brainddead 20 tabler or b)a hi stakes sng player. Therefore, it is impossible for me to reach 1m fpps.

Anything would be most appreciated.

ALSO, LET US KNOW WHEN 2x VPP WEEK IS SO WE CAN SCHEDULE FOR IT FFS!

Someone asked earlier at what point does a certain VIP level = and then exceed the 27% at FTP?

I haven't been following prior stars discussions so I really don't know much about the fractional vpp plan. Is this stars' response of bringing more value to non-supernova players?

Is there going to be no changes from last year to this year's (2009) VIP Club besides partial VPPs?

Not sure anyone here (including Scotty) knows that yet.

when you include FTP rb + ftp points + iron man you would need to be hitting supernova milestone levels for it to start to overtake it(like 300K milestone etc). I don't know which milestone is the tipping the point.

Even just moving them some random week night would be better imo. Perhaps we could just push for that. If they are going to keep them anyways, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday night (games aren't the best at those times general, worse on avg. compared to Sat. afternoon.

Maybe monday nights, donk-a-ment + Monday Night Football + beer = good break from the grind.

im pretty sure your way off on this. the simple fact that each ftp is worth 1/5of each FPP is the main reason.

Want it on record that I am going for 200k VPPs this year. I know that is weak compared to many, but i also have a full-time job. For the record, I got 62k VPPs in 2008.
