New to Stars, how do I use this bonus?

I have an instant bonus called 'Try Casino' with a 5 dollar Initial and Current value, the other values being $0. I have 0/10 redemption points.
I play poker only and I just moved outside of the US so I am not used to Stars.
What can I use this towards, how do I make sure I spend it and not any of my cash account, and do you have any recommendations for playing through it?
