So i stumbled across this pokersite www.ultimapoker.com

Never heard of it before and reading their news on the website they launched december 1st. There is not much action going on right now (around 10 full tables).

Software actually seems good and their rake is not super high but actually quite low compared to most rooms today. The rakeback program is okay as well and seems to be easy to track what rakeback you will get each week. At first look it kind of reminds me of partypokers rakeback program.

On the surface this looks like a promising new pokersite but i have not looked deeper into it.

What do you guys think?

Hmm so i tried to log in again to see how the traffic was and windows defender now stops the application from running saying it has a trojan in it. Something called "Fuery.A!cl".

I really dont play that much poker anymore so i am not super concerned. I will however get myself a proper antivirus now to not get my emails hacked.

But for now i just have to say to everyone STAY AWAY!!!! until this hopefully clears as a false postive

Weirdly, as my experience at Ultima Poker was ok. I got no deposit bonus, won 75 USD and easily withdrew it. The only thing, there is no resize table and favorite place features. Big picture, I liked everything, the software looks great, verification took 5 minutes. After your last post I checked it with several antiviruses and did not find anything.

Hmm yeah i checked it with AVAST Premier as well and it did not find anything. I am guessing my windows defender gave a false positive.

I was not able to receive it directly, as I get a "not verified" error message, after verifying my account through the email link.

I just went into the lobby, looked at some of their promotional subsites and and went into the settings. The software greets you with a nice set of spaceship-esque pictures, giving the whole soft a unique and distinctive look.

As with any new site, the tournament section is low, but so far there is no more than a 2 hour gap between tournaments on daytime, based on UTC.

some observations:

-auto addon/rebuy is ticked on in the settings
-if you tick auto addon on the table and you get moved to another table, auto addon gets removed
-table resizing manually doesn't work
-you can't reseat yourself

-now the software constantly crashes, can't get back into the game :/

Ya i played here recently. Sat hu from 50 - 400nl got 1 fish out of 6 villains...and that fish was at 50nl. The other 5 players 2 were solid and the other 3 maybe can beat them plus rake for like 3bb or so...

Played some micro 6max and games were soft.

I like the software but theres no resizable tables.

I confirm, the place is bot-festival. Go play any SNG there and you see.

Few reasons:
-Names are quite similar and you can see the pattern when comparing them
-They play quite horribly. I won session basically just raising 3x 80% of the time from every position and everyone just folds. Exploiting is real
-Nobody shoves on short stack, saw only like 3 cases when I played
-They play waaay too similarly, it just starts to feel like HU, lol

Don't know much about cash though. Thought about depositing in that site, but nah. I guess you can earn pretty darn good in SNGs if it stays the same way. I am not the best player out there, but I figured that playing in that site harms your actual skills, because you get to adapt to exact kind of opponents and might pick up patterns to own play which has no real use anywhere else.

E: And ya, SNG traffic seems to be quite unusual.

Well, maybe there is an element of truth in your words about bots. It seems to me that any new room begins in such a way to ensure the game at the tables. The only question is whether they are being beaten. If yes and there are no problems with withdrawing money, then it's not such a big problem, play and earn I'm sure that as the real traffic increases, the bots will also disappear, so you can use this opportunity right now.

Also: I played like 8 5$ husng's at the beginning and won all 8 in 1 day - because the opponents timed out in the 1st hand. Later I withdrew my money but I'm sad that on that day I didn't "steal" even more. Later strange things started happening. "People" (bots) started 3betting low pairs and hitting sets while I hit TP, hitting better straights (nuts vs. my gutshots) and to finish: my last 3 sng's were losing with KK, AA and KK again vs. TT - yes - 3 times! And that's not all, all 3 hands got the T on River. LOL. So then I stopped playing on that site, forever.

Lol wtf. Never understood ppl complaining about bots but in the same paragraph say the so called bots play badly...? If they so bad just take they money.

I just created an account and donked around with my no deposit Bonus.

Good stuff:
- nice look and feel of the Software except the bad stuff (see below)
- modern and well implemented corporate identity/presentation
- nice VIP System, good promos imo
- traffic was better than i expected but only on micros
- registration was quick and easy incl. verification


Bad stuff:
- Tables can not be resized --> tiling etc. doesnt work well
- when cascading tables, some were always ignored
- tables steal focus before action on first table is completed --> Problems with multitabling
- no preferred seating
- limited lobby filtering options
- only one 4-color deck
- no bet slider Options

Overall, the bad stuff will keep me away from depositing, although I kinda liked the site and would consider playing there when the bad stuff gets fixed. Tbh i dont understand how those Things can even be an issue if a Company decides to Setup a poker Software from scratch... I mean it is 2018...

I would advise giving this site the wide berth, apart from there only being about 6 players online at any time, I tried to verify with this site, sending them the same photo of my ID and an official letter and bank card which I've used to verify with 100s of sites. They told me they needed a photo of me holding my ID so they could use facial recognition on me. There is absolutely no way in hell I am having my privacy and basic human rights infringed to get a measly free $10 bonus, and anyone who does so is an absolute idiot. Be afraid.
