Same issue when closing a table the whole client closes down. This has been going on for weeks now and I have already reported but nothing is done

My account is disabled now. I got the autamatic e-mail with the usual text 4 days ago:

"This is the Operations Team at 888poker and we are contacting you with regards to your account with username "Yeekoyok".

As you may be aware we carry out security checks on all of our members at some point during their membership with us. During a security check on your account we have been alerted to suspicious activity indicating that the use of Artificial Intelligence may be involved.

The use of Artificial Intelligence is strictly against our User Agreement and will not be tolerated on our site and as a result your account has been suspended. If you have any information which would assist with our investigation or if you feel that the decision to place restrictions on your account has been taken in error, please contact us so that we can clarify the situation."


I never used any forbidden software.

I use Holdem Manager 1 during playing, and that is the only software I use. I often listen to music via youtube also, therefore firefox is open too. I play on other sites too, but never mix them at a time.

I last played on your site 10 days ago if i remember correctly, then I logged in 2 days ago and started watching a table, then forgot about it and surfed the web. Later i closed the 888 client. I did not play a single hand on that day.

Looking forward to hearing from you as I know this must be some mistaken accusation.

I think that I may have a potential 'work around' for the client closing when you just want to close 1 table.

The problem seems to be all the tables getting 'locked', i.e not one being highlighted for action. When you try to close one as they are 'locked' they all close and so does the client. If you click through a few table and minimise/restore it seems to 'unlock' this situation. You can then close the individual table.

This might not be a thing and maybe I got lucky but so far its working and I have not had the propblem for a whole day.

Hopefully it gets fixed soon as it has been weeks now..!!

Any chance you could remove the function that minimizes the lobby window when opening a SNG/MTT lobby or cash game. It is so annoying if you want to keep looking down the list to register things. Atleast have a checkbox in settings or something.

Rep, The players here have been as patient as they can be on this issue but it is time 888 gave some explanation as to why so many players are being wrongly accused of using AI or other aids.

I don't think it can be good for 888s reputation for any player who wins on 888 to have confidence that they will be paid. Please just clear this mess up.

Yes I agree. I am thinking about leaving as I have a large account and have done nothing but am worried they will just shut me down for winning

888 regularly crashes for no reason.Last night I was heads up on a 30NL game and went to shove on the river (river gave me four 9's) but I could only bet 30c....WTF,I still won the pot but should have cleaned the "maniac" villain out! I've saved the game # if necessary.

This week’s $88 buy-in, $15,000 GTD GREAT 8 tournament blew past its guarantee by drawing 174 players who rebought 66 times, which created a $19,200 prize pool. The top 24 players got a piece of it including Bryan “DePittsterje” Paris (22nd - $240), “summertime3” (11th - $432), “StrbxGrndr” (5th - $1,056), and “LovePorn69” (4th - $1,632).

After7 hours and 27 minutes, Canada’s “CliKiNBuToNz” bested Malta’s “Mr.Fonzi” in heads-up play to win $4,176. If you recall, way back in April 2015, “CliKiNBuToNz” took down the $100,000 Mega Deep for $34,608.

Argentineans Battle for Sunday Challenge Title

The $109 buy-in Sunday Challenge squeaked by its $35K GTD by attracting 255 players who rebought 98 times. That generated a $35,300 prize pool distributed to the top 32 spots including to “888topPair” (26th - $265), “pwnfeesh25” (18th - $353), last week’s Mega Deep champ “josetecrazy” (8th - $971), and “guydeet39” (4th - $3,000).

The elimination of Malta’s “HateH4teHate” in third place for $4,059 left two Argentineans battling for the title. After just over nine hours, “stockfish9” defeated “sh4p3less” to win $7,148.

XL Inferno Champ “mne_d0edet1” Wins Monsoon

The $55 buy-in $5,000 Deepstack Monsoon attracted 115 players who rebought 34 times. The 149-entry field generated a $7,450 prize pool that was paid out to the top 15 players. Among those to cash were three-time XL Eclipse champ “Kaktus26rus” (14th - $156), Bryan “DePittsterje” Paris (9th - $205), “Dam4666” (5th - $484) and “SidePot13k” (4th - $689).

After “stealwave888” exited in third place for $969, the title came down to Russia’s “mne_d0edet1” and the UK’s “Intothewest.” After just under eight hours, the Russian came out on top to win a $1,863 top prize. In May of last year, “mne_d0edet1” topped a field of 840 players to win the XL Inferno Event #47: $50,000 8-Max for $15,540.

I note that thanks to your appeals and a few loud forum threads, we managed to convey to the top management the special importance of the discussed issue. Internal audits and conferences were initiated with the participation of the 888poker chief of poker and security to ensure the reliability of the automatic algorithm responsible for tracking banned software, as well as explain some controversial cases of warnings and locks.

Now, at your request, I want to share the following in-depth conclusions:

1. Table Scan Turbo - as I already wrote several times on the pages of this topic and mentioned in personal correspondence with interested users, the use of TST together with the running client 888poker is strictly prohibited . This software is definitely forbidden due to the specificity of the provided functionality. At this stage, the 888poker security service does not have the ability to constantly monitor the program updates for compatibility with the client of the room. Therefore, using TST at the same time as 888poker will be banned.

For my part I note that in many disputable cases that were published on these pages and which Repairion cited in the next topic, it was about using TST together with 888poker - in public or in personal correspondence with me or with the support of the room, they confessed themselves players. 3. 888Caption - as mentioned above, this program was always allowed on 888poker and could never cause suspicion or cause warning and blocking. This is the allowed software.

4. Individual investigations - I gave the head of the poker direction several reports on those users who contacted me individually with applications for review of decisions on their accounts. The senior support manager will once again examine all the details of the case together with security experts to ensure that fair decisions are made on all accounts that have been blocked or have received warnings lately. 5.
