Upon reading about the fine, is pretty funny that i can no longer login, saying:

"unable to connect. Please Try Again or contact member support"

Figured i'd post here for a faster response rather than a generic useless response two weeks later from their support staff.

It looks as if the fine has helped their share price!

Dear 888 rep.
People like sctname(russia) and lizzie_19(belarus) regulary break rules on cash mid and high stakes 6max games, they keep sitting out 4th and 5th even on active tables, with 3max games running, refusing to play and just keep camping waiting for fish to join, which is against rules.

They just ignore requests to play or leave and keep blocking tables. Please, give them one month ban or something, for the constant break of rules. I start tables at nl1-2k as you can check in my account's history(my username is "fearmemate") and I am tired dealing with campers, who never play and sit out.

Lizzie_19 keeps sitting out 5th on few tables, spamming "play or leave" but always refusing to do it himself. You can check his hand history, he NEVER starts tables or plays without a fish, but he always camps himself.

Proof:

The fine was around one week of net gaming revenue. They avoided a full license suspension or revocation. That would have have been catastrophic - the UK is over two-fifths of the half billion dollars they do in revenue annually. While it was an unlikely result, it was a dark cloud hanging over the share price ever since the mistake and subsequent UKGC investigation was made public in May.

Welcome to 888poker’s Weekly Deal, with all the best news, results and insights from the past week.

THIS WEEK: September 3, 2017

Canada’s Troy “S.Janowski” Quenneville Wins Mega Deep

Each week, the $215 buy-in, $100K GTD Mega Deep attracts the best of the best, and this week was no different as 588 runners took to the virtual felt. That created a $117,600 prize pool that was paid out to the top 80 spots including Michael “AcesJoker88” Acevedo (65th - $364.56), “1LevelAbove” (38th - $588), “floatmasta” (16th - $1,176), “SkallePer58” (9th - $1,470), and “garyt20” (3rd - $11,877).

The tournament clocked in at just under 11 hours, which is when Canada’s Troy “S.Janowski” Quenneville bested “breaking89” to lay claim to the $21,991 top prize. It marked Quenneville’s first win on 888poker since December 20th when he took down the $50,000 Volcano for $15,255.

Quenneville has more than $4.1 million in lifetime online earnings, and in the live realm he has $882,403, including $400K for winning the 2016 WPT Caribbean.

“JBA888” Wins Weekend’s Biggest Buy-In Tournament for $43,645

The biggest buy-in event of the week, the $1,050 Whale, easily surpassed its $120K GTD by drawing 146 players who generated 57 rebuys. That created a $203K prize pool the was paid out to the top 27 spots including to 888poker Ambassador Parker “tonkaaaaaa” Talbot (19th - $2,030), Robin “Inho” Ylitalo (16th - $2,537), “checkblaze” (6th - $10,150), Jonas “T3amEdward” Mackoff (5th - $12,180), and “allesrigged” (3rd - $23,852).

After 9 hours and 17 minutes, Costa Rica’s “JBA888” defeated Anton “anteen” Bertilsson to claim the title and $43,645. The Swede, who you will read more about below, earned $31,465 for his runner-up finish.

Former Baby Whale Champ “MisterN411” Captures Lightning Title

The $109 buy-in, $20,000 GTD Sunday Lightning attracted 187 players who generated 101 rebuys. The big turnout created a $28,800 prize pool distributed to the top 24 players including XL Inferno champ “MalakiasCF” (11th - $504), “alexxabest” (8th - $864), “popsnpoker” (5th - $1,872), and “YSoSerious7” (3rd - $3,600).

After nearly nine hours, “MisterN411” defeated “Vlada2108” in heads-up play to take home $6,912. If you recal, back in March, “MisterN411” came out on top of a 333-player field to win the $100,000 Baby Whale for $19,853.

Heater Continues for Sweden’s “CptJack222” With Breeze Win

The $55 buy-in, $20,000 Sunday Breeze drew 486 players, and that created a prize pool of $24,300. Among the 63 players to earn a piece of it were World Series of Poker bracelet winner Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer (21st - $145.80), “WowAceDude” (10th - $291.60), “Skedlink” (5th - $1,336), “nicolsan777” (4th - $1,895), and “streetdekor” (3rd - $2,490).

After 8 hours and 39 minutes, the title came down to Sweden’s “CptJack222” and Russia’s “Iwentworthl.” The Swede prevailed to capture the $4,617 first-place prize, while “Iwentworthl” had to settle for a $3,402 consolation prize.

Last week, “CptJack222” placed fifth in the $80,000 Mega Deep for $4,000, and a week before that third in the $10,000 Monsoon for $1,265.

Two 888 Ambassadors Cash Crocodile, “popsnpoker” Claims Title

“popsnpoker,” who finished fifth in the Lightning recapped above, redeemed himself by topping a field of 216 players to win this week’s $160 buy-in Sunday Crocodile, which surpassed its $30K GTD by creating a prize pool of $32,400.

For his win, “popsnpoker” added $6,966 to his bankroll, while runner-up “Viachello” earned $5,022. Others to finish in the top 27 and cash were Anton “anteen” Bertilsson (19th - $324), 888poker Ambassadors Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche (17th - $405) and Parker “tonkaaaaaa” Talbot (11th - $567), and “.Rookie.” (4th - $2,835).

What to watch out for:

Our next major series, the 888poker XL Eclipse, is less than a week away!

We’re guaranteeing $8 million in prizes for the upcoming XL Eclipse, which will run September 10-24. That’s $500,000 more in GTD prize money than was offered in the spring’s XL Inferno.

The XL Eclipse schedule includes a $300,000 Opening Event, $50,000 Mini Opening Event, and $1,500,000 Main Event

Right now, we’re running a special promotion where you can grab three free tickets to the daily XL Eclipse qualifiers. Simply deposit $10 or more using the promotional code “ECLIPSE10” and three free tickets are all yours.

Hi Rep,

I deposited on here $30 after Stars cut rakeback. I am a winning recreational microstakes grinder. There are issues with your site that you should address if you intend to capitalize on the exodus of players from stars.

As I'm sure you are aware, your software is awful. Maybe it is worse for me as a Mac player, but in the past few weeks, it repeatedly crashes and freezes. This is unacceptable, and a serious issue for anyone with significant amounts of money in play. Having it freeze when you are in the middle of a hand is a joke, and no serious site should have this issue. The software overall is clunky and looks like it was designed in 2002. It is seriously time for you to invest the money and pay an elite team of programmers to build something up to date.

Next, the max button being right beside the pot button is an incredible pain in the ass, it is much too easy to misclick that button and shove when you meant to pot it.

Also, the recent mass banwire is not reassuring to anyone, even micro grinders, and it does not make me feel safe to have funds on your site knowing you can randomly ban me based on little to no evidence.

Imo, there is a relatively easy path for 888 to become the largest site on the web in the next few years give stars mismanagement, but you guys aren't doing yourselves any favours. Despite the fact that the games are very soft and beatable and the rake is high (thanks dnegs) I am not sure whether I will continue playing on 888 after clearing my deposit bonus.

I know I am not a significant player or anything, but I am giving you honest perspective of your site from the viewpoint of the micros.

Oh and another thing, is there some way I can get rid of those popups that say I've reached X and Y rakeback level? They are incredibly annoying. I'm level 29 and still getting level 23 popups... yes that was 4 days ago, I saw it!

Any chances your software will stop upgrading every time I open it? What about a link to version that do not need to upgrade every time?

Sorry but it is essential for software updates to the client from time to time.
There are no links available for previous versions i'm either afraid.
