Nope, that is not coming close to cutting it, and we will not tolerate this answer. You get someone of authority to address our concerns

Lol are you kidding me? I emailed them several times over the course of over a week after I got banned and do you think I got reply? Hahaha of course not

This ****ing copy-paste response will not cut it. You need to explain how you manage to ban a bunch of innocent players, and why refuse to answer any emails regarding the accounts.

This was not a calming mail. Okey, I cash out then. Hopefully I can come back later because I really love the site and the playerpool. I continue to read this thread if things changes.

I have also cashed out which is pity, since I have played on 888 for years now and really have liked the site.
But by now it is very clear that
a.) A decent % of the recent bans have been very random and have hit innocent customers who have never used any official forbidden software, while playing on 888 (not even to speak about AI). So basically accounts from many innocent players have been closed and their money confiscated for good.

b.) 888 and its officials do refuse to clear up the situation by providing any clear information.

@rep:
I just cannot help, but address you personally.
I mean to be honest, your behavior within this thread under these current circumstances is not only shocking in itself, but totally 100% unreal.
I mean, certainly you are generally spoken most likely a smart person.
Hence I do assume that you are aware of how your constant
"copy-pasting_non-supportive" approach while releasing zero info must look for readers and how much "unreal" it needs to come across.
So please, I get it - if there is some sort of disclosure policy existent which forces you to not being able to provide any real information on what is currently going on,
then please for god's sake say so.
Instead of keeping on, creeping out and provoking attached users within this thread where you have the task to be supportive.
Your behavior is so unbelievable, that there just must be something going on behind the scenes which would explain your unreal actions and reactions in this thread towards the recent events.

@all:

At the end everyone needs to make the decision privately and alone, but for me it is not acceptable to keep playing on a site which (by now obviously) is closing accounts without any reasoning (under a false accusation) and confiscating account-rolls for good.
I do hope though that there might be a slim chance that 888 would soon clear up the situation... I will observe what will be going on in the near future and would hope that one day, when everything would seem legit again, I could play again on 888.
At the moment this is just out of question.

Unless something's changed - 888Rep doesn't actually work at 888. He's a moderator from their own forums or something like that.

If it's still the same then I suggest that you try and reinstall the poker client and see if that clears things up for you, Make sure and save your notes first though.
You will need to contact support@888poker.com to ask about refunds.
Thanks

Funny how you are dodging questions, did you get advice from support@888poker.com to do so

So why does this thread even exist then?

There are many different departments in a poker site as I'm sure that you are aware and each one has it's own agenda and the Operations department is dealing with these current issues and all I can do is to pass on members problems to them and they either contact them direct or I post any information they send me here if applicable, They are bound by privacy and data protection issues so in all reality they can't really comment on individual's issues in an open forum so that is why they instructed me to ask members with account issues to contact our Operations department directly.

This reply now is finally infinite better than all your previous replies regards to this topic altogether and clears it up - thanks for it.

Regards to the situation at 888Poker, of course nothing has changed and I would not recommend anyone to play there or at least would advice not to let a lot of money there (just a few stacks), until the very unclear situation is finally cleared up.

Again:
Up to this moment the reality is:
a.) 888 has randomly banned a decent amount of accounts under false accusation + has within this process basically stolen the money from affected customers.

b.) 888Poker is keeping on refusing to provide any meaningful clear information on what is going on, which makes it very likely that further accounts will be randomly banned + account-rolls for good confiscated
-> hence, really everybody could be the next one who gets a random "false accusation email" and whose account will get banned in combination with whose money will be gone for good.

Not a thrilling feeling to keep playing on 888 or to start playing there

I mean, lol - actually what is happening here is absolutely crazy and in this form pretty unique.
I know that other sites have banned before already winningplayers, but at least they have not hidden the real reasoning for closing certain playeraccounts and of course have returned the money from "non welcomed anymore" customers, instead of just spontaneously stealing it.
It is unbelievable and disgusting at the same time.

Kinda surprises me that so far this situation has not brought more attention.

Generally I would absolutely agree that this must and should be dealt with on an individual basis but given the circumstances that this seems to be a mass ban customers have a right to know what's up. Either these were rightly banned or 888 is still investigating and hasn't come to a finite conclusion which is ok. But we as customers need to be informed what the hell is going on.
Thanks.

Except nobody has trust in the Operations department - hence a few posters mentioning they have cashed out - and you are the only link in between us, players, and the 888 non-receptive support. Again, I ask, what is the purpose of this thread, if you cannot provide any answers, feedback and communications with anyone that matters?

Have you and the 888 upper management actually looked into threads/poker sites that have more of a direct communication with the players?

edit : on the other hand, great to see that Winamax and Party Poker are right behind and will soon take over the 3rd spot occupied by 888 as far as traffic goes.

This and quoted for truth.

Besides the Unibet thread here shows how it can work. The Unibet reps here are a testiment and a specimen of user friendliness and customer service in the truest sense of the word.

Why can a company like Casava/ 888 not do the same or even better? Same critique would go to AmayaStars and others by the way.

Welcome to 888poker’s Weekly Deal, with all the best news, results and insights from the past week.

THIS WEEK: August 13, 2017

Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot Final Tables the Lightning

This week’s edition of the $109 buy-in, $20,000 GTD Sunday Lightning attracted 170 players who generated 98 rebuys. That created a $26,800 prize pool distributed to the top 24 players including “floptheguts” (18th for $335), “MPeneda” (15th for $335), and “TooMuchRake” (10th for $469).

A familiar face at the final table was 888poker Ambassador Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot, who finished in eighth place for $804. After Niklas “tutten7” Astedt busted in third for $3,350, the UK’s “summuNNN” and Ukraine’s “Fukuruku” squared off in heads-up play. After 9 hours and 20 minutes, the latter emerged victorious to win $6,432 while the former had to settle for a $4,455 consolation prize.

It marked the second big win of the year for “Fukuruku,” who back in May took down the XL Inferno Event #155 Tornado for $4,287 after a heads-up deal.

“polarizedOMG” Wins Sunday’s Biggest Buy-In on 888Poker

Sunday’s biggest buy-in event on 888poker, the $320 buy-in, $100,000 Baby Whale, surpassed its guarantee by attracted 253 players who accounted for 127 rebuys. That created a $114,000 prize pool, which was paid out to the top 36 spots.

Some players to earn a little cash were 888poker Ambassador Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche (35th for $855), “Imyurfriend” (14th for $1,539), Troy “S.Janowski” Quenneville (11th for $1,824), Nicolas “PKaiser” Fierro (6th for $5,130), and “McNugget123” (3rd for $12,882).

In the end, which came after 9 hours and 42 minutes of play, Germany’s “polarizedOMG” bested Canada’s “SHIPITBITCH” to win the $23,313 top prize. That was quite a bit more than the $243 he got for his last online win, which came back on June 27 when he took down the $500 GTD Omaha 6-Max.

“Odyseus58” Takes Down the Mega Deep

The popular $215 buy-in Mega Deep offered its 492 participants a $100,000 prize pool, which was reserved for the top 64 players. Among those to cash were “vonBaranow” (34th for $530), 888poker Ambassador Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche (21st for $870), “89Diamonds” (6th for $3,500), Cristian “progree69” Sampaoli (4th for $7,500), and “APJennings” (3rd for $10,260).

After 11 hours and 47 minutes, Ukraine’s “Palyaaa” fell to Germany’s “Odyseus58,” who walked away with $19,000 for his performance. It was the German’s second win in just over a month. On July 9, “Odyseus58” beat out a field of 99 players to win the $3,000 Twister for $1,237.

Winning is a Breeze for “E_Dub”

The $55 buy-in, $20,000 Sunday Breeze drew 466 players, and that created a prize pool of $23,300. Among the 63 players to earn a piece of it were “Coinseeker12” (30th for $128.15), “str8nuttin” (14th for $233), “HammertimeAA” (8th for $524.25), “Patsharpe” (4th for $1,817.40), and “Eichholzdonk” (3rd for $2,388.25).

After 8 hours and 26 minutes, the UK’s “E_Dub” prevailed over Russia’s “goba87” to claim the title and $4,427 first-place prize. The win came just over a week after “E_Dub” finished runner-up in the August 4 edition of the $8,000 Swordfish for $1,228. Back in June, he notched two wins in the same day after he took down the $5,000 Deep-stack Monsoon and $10,000 Deep-stack Swordfish for $1,475 and $1,935 respectively.

“germaxii” Captures Second Turbo Mega Deep Title in Two Months

The $215 buy-in, $40,000 GTD Turbo Mega Deep saw 157 players take to the virtual felt and generate 62 rebuys. That created a $43,800 prize pool that was spread among the top 24 finishers including “Moliere123” (20th for $547.50), Super XL Series V champ “jnevanli” (16th for $766.50), “InJeBakkes” (10th for $985.50), Thiago “Nicoferrow” Crema (5th for $2,409), and “mr_runnerup” (3rd for $5,256).

After just 4 hours and 45 minutes, Argentina’s “germaxii” defeated the UK’s “Juanfran1973” in heads-up play to win $9,526.50. If you recall, “germaxii” topped a field of 232 players on May 21 to win the XL Inferno Event #194: $50,000 Turbo Mega Deep. That means he now has two Turbo Mega Deep titles in less than three months.

What to watch out for:

We’re guaranteeing $8,000,000 (!) in prizes for the upcoming XL Eclipse online tournament series, which will kick off in September. That’s $500,000 more in GTD prize money than was offered in the spring’s XL Inferno.

The full XL Eclipse schedule will be released shortly, but we can tell you that there will be a $300,000 Opening Event, $50,000 Mini Opening Event, and a $1,500,000 Main Event!

In the meantime, we’re running a special promotion for 1st depositors only, where you can grab three tickets to the daily XL Eclipse qualifiers.
Simply deposit $10 or more using the promotional code “ECLIPSE10” and three tickets are all yours!

WTF I think there is some more pressing questions to answer, don't you think, and why the hell would people want to deposit on 888 when their funds are not safe No more promoting 888 until those questions are answered.

There's also other languages:

GERMAN https://de.888poker.com/magazine/str...st-poker-bots/
SPANISH https://es.888poker.com/magazine/str...st-poker-bots/
and many other languages, too...

They must be f---in' kidding. That's how much they value their customers whether be it machines or human beings. A customer is a customer. They are basically totally OK with botting and it is only to do us stupid human players a favor that they don't EXPLICITELY allow them.
Thanks for 888. Well played you scummy scum scums.

Are Bots Inherently Bad?
We'll just finish with an interesting question regarding morality. Are poker bots bad? What do you think?

The only reason we actually consider them as bad is because they are against the rules of the poker site. Assuming a poker site decides to put in big letters on their web page that they allow poker robots then there is nothing inherently wrong with this.

Players would now know there is a chance they are playing against bots and wouldn't be upset when they found one. The site would also generate additional rake, because bots are great at putting in huge volume and never tilting.

It's essentially up to every poker site to make the decision. At this stage, all choose to not allow bots presumably because it may discourage recreational players from hitting the tables. Many players would not like the idea that they are not playing a human......but instead an emotionless robot, who never tilts and can perform lightning fast calculations.
LOL!?

Reading between the lines they basically say they're looking for anomalies compared to how people generally play at that level. They give the example that the average check/raising frequency on the flop is about 6%, so if someone is much higher than that and winning over a large sample, then that's suspicious. They also mention timing tells and not chatting as suspicious.

To me it doesn't make much sense, people who play non-standard are surely less likely to be bots than the other way around. But I can now understamd why they banned so many innocent players. The arrogant tone of the author who speaks about matters that he has no idea about and has huge repurcussions for all affected, coupled with the complete arrogance displayed by the 888 "support" is also quite unsettling.

It is also highly possible that 888 poker magazine authors don't have any connection to 888 poker main team. Usually they are different divisions.

Ah yes of course, but generally the overall sentiment tends to be similar for most companies. If security team thinks check/raising flop 14% is suspicious when avg. is 6%, then marketing is going to believe the same thing.
