They use a keylogger for chat and bets that looks suspicious to the anti-virus.

888 Rep please confirm:

1) Do you use keylogger type of software on our computers?

If so:

2) Is it embedded into the 888 client?

Or:

3) Is it running in the memory as a separate process from the main 888 poker software?

I think we all need to know if this is a violation of our privacy!

I'm sure no one would agree with you reading our e-mail correspondence, messenger chats and logging our e-wallet passwords for that matter.

Please respond. Thank you!

This is the reason I don't keep much money on 888... because it takes so damn long to get it off.

I was reading PM's on the laptop. Laptop keyboard is broken so I have to wait to get back to the desktop to reply. Wasn't posting much this week as I was recovering from surgery. But have been reading and keeping up with emergencies and PM's as always.

I'll ask for an official word on "Tournament Shark," but I don't imagine it would be a problem. Basically this is the official word on what's not acceptable:

Artificial Intelligence - Robots: You are not allowed to use any software program which, in our opinion, is endowed with artificial intelligence ("AI Software") in connection with your use of the Services.

I have no insight into policy creation or administration. Collusion is dealt with on a case by case basis, and any questions or inquiries need to be taken up with Operations.

3. Right now...18:16 GMT is kinda impossible to get on new tables in a reasonable time....97% of tables between NL30 and NL100 nitring and 6max have at least 2+ players on the waitlist...this is a huge pain in the ass so please do something fast...whatever it is..lol.
4. thanks...looking forward to that
5. But here is the problem....every new table I open that still has the show best hand feature on it again...it only gets rid of the tables that are already running but i keeps showing up on the new ones even when show best hand is unchecked...please fix this...shouldnt be too hard.
I'll bring up the "best hand" issue and the table availability.

The cash out times have been in place as is, for a long time. There are pros and cons to the process. For instance, some believe the 3 day hold policy is a largely contributing factor to the number of fish.

I can pass along your feedback, but I wouldn't be optimistic for any immediate changes.

Well 28 (!) days later I finally get a reply qualifying me for additional free rolls.
I replied expressing my surprise and dismay that any type of complaint should take 28 days for a response. 888 [I]support[I] replied basically saying we're too busy and that's just the way we roll.

I'd like to think that if I had a more serious complaint they would have replied sooner...but I seriously doubt it. Not exactly a reassuring experience.
That's pretty brutal mate. I'll tear a strip off someone.

The 888.com website just doesn't seem to work for me.
The download and sign up links open a pop up which closes instantly.
So basically I cannot sign up or install software.
I use the latest version of Firefox. Pop-up blocker disabled.

I wish you a hasty and full recovery from the recent surgery you have undertaken.

Alright, let me know as soon as you get an official word on this matter. Just to make sure its 100% legal. I'm sure no one would be happy to find out TS is prohibited AFTER purchasing a full year subscription.

I understand that this might be an advantage fish-wise BUT I'm sure an eventual poll would show a majority of votes go for a reduction in you hold policy. Yes, we'd like you to pass along this matter to the appropriate department. A change from 3 days to 48 hrs isn't that drastic a change for starters.

I'll get some exact answers to your questions. You should definitely feel safe and secure using the software.

I'm looking forward for an explanation. If 888 uses keyloggers on our machines, I'm sure we all WANT to know this and would appreciate an explanation towards its actual purpose, if that's not too much to ask.

Thank you!
+1 to agree

[Cliffs:]

a) A decrease in the 3-days hold policy of our funds which will result in faster cashouts
b) We need to know if 888 uses Keyloggers on our PCs to record our keystrokes WITHOUT our knowledge, which would mean a certain violation of our privacy

I was having similar issues a few weeks ago with firefox and 888, used explorer with no problems.

If you're running windows you must have it because I don't think its possible to remove it.

I used both FF & Chrome with no issues. IE sucks, but it should work - just upgrade to the latest version if you're still having trouble.

Can you just be honest and admit that the people it affects the most (exploits) are people with impulse control problems (problem gamblers) whilst annoying everyone else. I have no idea how you guys get licensed for responsible gambling with this unethical policy... oh yeah that's right you don't need a license and there's no organization that oversights this, you just say you follow a few guidelines.

I mean seriously imagine if there was a live casino that whenever you went to cashout they'd say "Oh we hold on to your money for 3 days but you can come back any time between now and then to cancel it and play more here!". They would get shutdown so ridiculously quick, yet for some reason this **** can fly on the internet.

It's a completely unethical policy and I have no idea how you feel ok defending it. I'm all for playing against fish but I don't feel it's right for poker sites to so blatantly manipulate them to keep them in the game, and it seems every other site in the world agrees with this.

lol at getting all self righteous over 888 exploiting the fish, do you give them their money back after the session is over? You think the fish is gonna quit gambling forever once he has his cash in hand? This is a smart move by 888 to save on transaction fees and to make sure the fish doesn't take that money and deposit at a different site.

Admit it, you don't give a rats ass about fishes being exploited and you're just angry that you can't get you're money instantly like you can from the other major sites.

I don't understand why this is such an issue, its never been an issue for me and the wait times are better now than they used to be. If you're living day to day off your 888 roll then you need to get better bankroll management and learn to plan ahead for the 6 day transfer. If you want your cash instantly just for the sake of it then go play at Stars and good riddance.

i just made a deposit of $1000 to 888 using moneybookers. the amount in my cashier changed by exactly $1000, but my last transaction in moneybookers is listed as $1061.51. how is this possible? is there a 6.151% deposit transaction fee?

please address this issue as soon as possible.

also, about the cashout times, is it always exactly 3 days or does it ever take longer?

@ 888 Rep

I really do appreciate you being here on 2p2 and I also really think you are trying to help us. Also I hope you will recover soon...

However there is a point IMO where we as 888 customers deserve some better answers from 888 on some of the more important matters at hand. Again I really appreciate you being in here and talking to us even when most of the players in here complain most of the time and you might not even be an employee of 888 (not sure...certainly think you get paid though...lol) but there are some major issues that are around for way too long without a real answer on how or when 888 is planning to fix those issues. And those are issues where the reputation of 888 is on the line.

1. Bad beat jackpot: It is worse enough that there is no option to uncheck "Post JP" in general and that you have to remember unchecking it every time you open a bad beat jackpot table or you will pay 50 cents a hand and you do not even get an explanation what you are doing...first time I sat down I played almost 200 hands on those tables and since I was only adding some of those tables to my non jackpot tables I did not really pay much attention to this stuff until I checked my cashier at the end of the session and was almost 100 bucks short...nice surprise...but if its true that you can even sit out on a table and 888 still takes 50 cents a hand when "Post JP" is checked even you can not even win the jackpot cause you are not in the hand this is FLAT OUT STEALING...and this problem seems to be around for quite a while. So please tell 888 that we would appreciate some kind of comment on that...looking into it does not cut it anymore after this much time.
2. Exchange rate fees: I personally dont have that problem since my neteller and 888 account is in USD but from what I read in this other thread the fees 888 charges are way higher than other sites charge so it seems like some sort of rip off IMO.
3. Bots: What is 888 policy on reimbursing players that lost money against bots. I ask that question cause I read numerous times on 2p2 that 888 just closes those accounts and takes the money for itself as kind of a standard procedure. I'm also asking this cause I remember that when I started playing on 888 at the beginning of November there were some threads on 2p2 and also some serious allegations against 3-4 players from Sweden in the 888 chatbox that all had the same stats and that they are bots...I wrote down the playernames and recognized that all those players were never seen again after a week or so...so it seems that 888 does close account...but what happens with the money...I think its only fair that this money should be used to kinda pay back players that lost money against them.

Not gonna say anything about the waitlist problem stuff cause although its annoying as hell it is certainly small time against the three major issues mentioned above...

I play on Luckyace and my neteller and LA account are both in USD and I never ever had any sorts of fees while using the same currency...and I just did a 1k withdrawal a week ago to make sure I can get the $100 deposit bonus by depositing 1k two days ago...so this is either a moneybookers or 888 specific problem cause it has not happened between LuckyAce and Neteller.
