I started a thread elsewhere on this, but can you tell me why 888 increased the rake on reg speed SnGs from the 10 dollar level (it was 5% but now is 7.5% to 10% up to the 100 dollar level)? I can see that the amount of volume today at this time compared to yesterday cut dramatically as anyone with a brain that likes to play these levels with any expectation of making money knows that it just got much harder to do so to say nothing of making PStars with fully less than half the rake at these levels a much more attractive option even considering the DoJ action.

Very bad long-term move.

All your points are excellent as I thought the same earlier, though I am too peeved by the bump up in rakes today on reg speed SnGs to care anymore about improvement in 888. Instead of copying PStars rake and being a great value "safe/legal/unencumbered by DoJ action" site that can dominate the market they do the opposite and increase rakes to ridiculous PartyPoker levels while doing nothing about the use of bots and cheating by sponsored Pros like Dooshcom on their site.

Sure maybe the fish don't care or know the difference as they blow their first deposit, but players that return a few hundred dollars (and above) in rake month in and month out do notice and will leave.

Yeah, this is pretty ridic, I was 90% going to move >50% of my action to this site until hearing about this. I expect a pretty hefty traffic drop due to this, prob big enough to make the decision itself -ev for them to do in the first place.

I really hope traffic collapses (Literally there is no one playing the new 11 dollar (formerly 10.50 dollar) reg speed HU SnG for near the last half hour when you could find a handful of regs like myself on it at this hour tangling with fish and drop-ins). It is just so stupid considering they have a legislative advantage over PStars yet choose not to sell that edge while matching their rake.

I can't in good conscience continue to play 888 SnGs when faced with a doubling in rake at the 10 dollar level and a 50 percent increase at the 20 dollar level (where I played). I overlooked their horrible rakebake until now as a price to pay for security from government action for my fun and small profit, but an uneconomical doubling of rake even for an 11 % ROI player is too much to tolerate. DoJ action be damned, but I have to go back to Pstars now (though I won't leave more than a couple hundred in the account at any time ... says the FTP victim that still has around 2500 stuck there)

Any chance you had any result? Cause I havent heard anything since that mail (which I replied to as well) and am really about ready to just withdraw all funds and go to a different site... not because I disliked playing on 888 but cause I simply cannot play anymore.

Why in the world would you remove 1 of the 2 hu turbos for registration? This will not increase action... what are you thinking?

1. Resizable Lobby.
2. Remember Table layouts.
3. 888 Rake is terrible!.
4. Improve Rewards/Rakeback (not just add new lower levels which provide no additional benefits vs. old bronze) e.g. the new Bronze level should give x1.5 Rewards points per Status point.
5. Option to "trade-in" bonus freeroll for either cash, tickets, Status points/Reward points. I'm in a time zone that puts the $3000- freeroll in the middle of the night AND I play PLO not NLHE, so the option of being able to trade the entry for ANYTHING else would be good.
6. Some sort of PLO promo for those who play and to encourage new players to try it.
7. Provide "cash" rewards or bumps in Status level for useful feedback.
8. More PLO tournaments - They seem to always surpass the GNTD amount, so more, so they are available 24/7 and/or run more frequently so you can play in multiple PLO tournaments at the same time. Perhaps offer a range of buyins starting within 30min-1hour period.
9. Increase PLO Tournaments GTND amounts, since they seem to always surpass the GNTD amount.
10. Bring back the weekly $1000 GNTD PLO freezeout tournament (used to run Sunday night/Monday Morning depending on your time zone).
11. Consider adding a Monthly PLO Tournament with a big GNTD amount (Have satellites etc.)

Oh and did I mention giving away free stuff to us for providing valuable feedback for a commercial business. Yeah, I think that would be fair.

exactly! what happened to the lobbies? no poker room on earth has only ONE lobby for hu regspeed/turbo registration?

since yesterday all heads up sit&gos have only one lobby, from 10$ to 2k$ this is not normal. i hope you fix this as fast as possible. it's a massive inconvenience for all of us. just put another regspeed and another turbo for each stake as it was before

I think the 888 managers and programmers know exactly how the client should look like and what options/functions should be in it. I'm sure they all played on FT/PS and see the differences. Is there a law that forbids to copy the best clients? Not their skin obviously.
Stars has one of the worst rakeback offers for low level players, and 888 is even worse. On Stars the Silverstar rakeback is about 11% +Stellar Rewards which makes it close to 20%. While 888 gives about 4% to Silvers. With the reload bonuses we can get more, but who the hell wants to deposit every month? I'm not complaining yet because I'm still clearing my first deposit bonus, so I consider it as a 20% rakeback. I will try to reach Gold next month, but the lack of traffic in 10-20 dollar sng's makes it hard. And my laziness.

Does anyone know if I can exchange a step ticket for money. Played a step 1 for aussie millions and won a step 2 but would prefer if i could just cash in the ticket rather than have to play step 2.

Been a while since I've played online and I remember party poker would allow this but couldn't find anything on 888, all I could find is that I have already been registered for step 2 tomorrow.

As you note, they should just copy what PokerStars offers (which would be far far better than what 888 now provides) and use their edge at being safe-not being prosecuted by DoJ-publicly listed to drive new business. You have to wonder if the guys they have making decisions have ever played internet poker or looked at what competitors are doing that works.

Tried searching the thread for the monthly reload bonus. Is the code something like this: "888RELOAD3"? Does the code change monthly? Where can I get the new one?

I don't believe there are any fees for Transfers from 888's end. I know TD Bank dings me $25. I set up one with PC Financial since it's a no-fee banking for Poker transactions.

There are no fees imposed by 888. Check with your bank first to make sure they don't have an incoming fee.

I have confirmed that 888 changed the policy this year and will pay to Canadian Credit Cards. Again, some cards have policies in place to not accept payments, so check with your CC company first.

This is correct. Yearly Status Points are reset January 1st.
