no idea about FDB, but to get 36% rakeback you have to get VIP diamond, wich is around 150k rake yearly if I am not mistaken, wich is ridicleous considering 6 cash tables limit.

It would be interesting to hear how many players meet that requirement. As you said there is the table cap, and no HU NL games and the high stakes NL games don't run all that frequently.

I would guess no more then a dozen hardcore midstakes grinders, but anyone playing reasonable volume nl50+ can get vip easily.

The reason we post here is that we'd like everyone to see that the question has been asked and the answer provided. So here are the fundamental questions that haven't actually been answered:

1. Definition of the problem: What, in 888's words, is the table camping issue?
2. Description of the solution: What is the new rule that has been put into place? What is acceptable use of sitting out and what is not?
3. Explanation of the rationale: How does this rule solve the problem?
4. Future development: Is this a permanent fix to the problem or is this a temporary fix while 888 is pursuing a long term solution?

Cmon Arnie it's pretty obvious what 888 are trying to accomplish and the regs know they have gotten away with murder for too long.

• Don't join a table unless you have the intention of playing poker because OMFG that's what should happen when you join a poker table.
• Don't sit in and out when a fish does because you are incapable of playing more than a few hands with other regs while the fish is away doing a poo poo, line of coke or riding his Mrs.

If everyone follows those rules then you won't have any problems.

The next thing 888 should add is a five minute timer that if you leave your seat to godseat the fish across the table then you can't join the table for another five mins. You ****ers know who you are.

The lobby has been refreshingly pleasant the last few days thanks to 888 finally taking some action. Even Msfiera won't sit out. Long may it continue.

What 888 should be trying to do is get more games going, more players playing and thereby collecting more revenue. There are many obstacles and I fail to see how your rules solve this.

There are players who don't want to play short-handed and certainly not HU. You can't join a table and wait for the table to fill before sitting in? This is now inappropriate use of the sit out feature?

Given that poker is NOT a zero-sum game, you expect a knowledgeable player to play hands with -EV? There is no point in playing hands with players who are equal or better. Why would you expect anyone to do this? All winning players are bumhunters.

Why wouldn't I change seat to get better position on the table? To fail to do this would show pure ignorance.

Is all this whining from a few HS players who amount to a tiny portion of 888's revenue? Why is it in 888's interest to appease these players?
