Are you aware, that what you call equity and show while all in is not equity? Equity for split is 50/50 while HU, not 0%. You are showing chances of winning the pot, which is not equity.

BTW, those 'chances of winning' are shown wrong. You can actually win while having 0%.

i went to the 888poker website and re downloaded the install file.

did a re-install, seems like it fixed the crashes for now going on 20mins no crashes. hopefully stays this way

I updated yesterday the poker software and man what a mistake. Greatly disappointed in the new one. Chip positioning is terrbile, your own stack position is confusing, when not in a hand it looks like seat open.. overall it looks like a low level mobile app.

You guys make it really hard to make me wanna play there. I really hope you will put some updates on that in the near future.

yeah i also agree that we should have our own "block" with our name/stack shown. it does look kinda weird the way it is right now.

also the chip positioning for the SB/CO(hero as button) positions needs to be fixed for the 6max tables .

I don't mind the new tables as much as everyone here.

If they could be re-sized to be a little smaller and the important information be a little clearer that would be good. Also it's nice to be able to change the felt colour but wtf at having to change it at each table every time a new one is opened - surely there can be a default option in the client?

Not the background. The felt colour that you can only change by right clicking on it.

888rep, surely you have to take all the negative comments about the new software into consideration, I have hardly read anything good about it, I'm sure there was a lot of hard work put into it but this is just no good, if anything, please give players the option in the client to select the old theme, otherwise you could lose alot of players. How can you just continue with it knowing so many players hate it.

Changing a software feature that provided flexibility and customization for years serves what purpose exactly? A uniform experience? Streamlining the software? Were all the software glitches and disconnection a result of players playing from their favorite seats? I doubt it.

Once again, the problem with the table design was never the layout: it was the outdated graphics.

The governing philosophy behind the changes seems to be one of contempt for the players. It's the Apple idea of "we know best, there's going to be one way and if you don't like it tough." Even if with Apple, this is questionable and dealing with their products can be frustrating, but at least they are Apple. They have a track record of success and a design that gathers acclaim.

Exhibit no 1 of this approach is the change you implemented with the chat window a year or so ago. All the major sites (PS, Full, Tilt, 888, PartyPoker) used to have chat windows at the lower left corner of the screen. Bet/Fold/Check buttons were at the lower right corner of the screen. It's a layout that worked and works. However, I am willing to bet that at some point, a higher up in upper management looked at the client and said "no, no, no, this is too cluttered, we ll make it simpler and more elegant. We ll move the chat window to the right".

That person must have never player poker seriously, because had he done so, he would have known from the first second that moving the chat window to the right would make the player experience worse and the chat window less used. Why? For two reasons. Because 1. People tile or stack and in general make a point of filling their screens with tables; for a player who tiles, opening the chat window would mean covering a table to the right and that would be no good. 2. Because people use HUDs and shortcut keys and as soon as you open the chat window, those get out of whack; HUD numbers get on top of people's usernames or stacks and shortcut keys click on the wrong button. From personal experience I can tell you that whenever I open the chat window my fold shortcut becomes a check/call shortcut and as a result I often call when I don't want to.

As a result, there are countless times when I want to use the chat window and I am thinking that it's such a hassle that I avoid it. Is this what you wanted from that change? Because if it is, you have succeeded. But if it isn't, you should stop whatever you doing and reevaluate your way of doing things. And the first thing you need to do is start listening to your players. Not in a polite way and then shrug them off, but in a way that shows them that you do take their feedback seriously.

That thing with bounty prizes not being included in hand histories is a bug that I reported months ago. This isn't a matter of opinion or taste like you can argue about the things I mentioned before. This is a bona fide, 100% objective as it gets bug. Bounty prizes need to be included in hand histories. Your position and players left in the tournament needs to be shown in those tournaments. This has been reported months ago, it should have been fixed YESTERDAY.

Start listening to your players. You don't want to listen to me, fine. But take 5-10 players who have been playing on your website for years, mix it up with the opinion of relative newbs and check whatever change you re contemplating with them. You won't find yourself hitting a wall again and again, if you do.

We take player’s feedback very seriously and have already made changes to the new client version following player requests. For example, the chat is now back in its original position, we have added bet slider and option to change the felt color, and many more. We are looking into his other feedback as well.

Even if it is viable, why not just give players the option to change themes in the client? All other sites have different themes, I'm sure you could have too. I hardly think recreational players will find this thread and follow these instructions just to change a theme they may not like.
