Hi, my name is Matvey (poker nick morfey 721) and yesterday I wanted to play Pacific Poker. I saw players from Russia (my country) and Ukraine who discussed how to play against me in chat. I was told on Russian forum that I may complain here. I am not a professional poker player but I think they robbed me.

So my client used to have the chat box down in the bottom left for ages, then randomly one day it switched, it now looks like this and I've been trying for ages to figure out how to put it back. I've re-installed and emailed support.

Despite of "being robbed" statement , i'd say it is inappropriate way of chating with a good recreational player on the table.

Following a number of requests we’ve received, we’d like to update you that we will now be offering an option for a two level password authentication for players who are interested in this.
This feature is still in its Beta version, so while it will already add extra security to your account, take into consideration that you may still find issues which we can improve. Please let us know if you do.

Players who would like an extra security level when entering their account should complete the following steps:
1. Enter 888poker with your username and password.
2. Go to My Profile -> My Account -> Change Password.
3. In the ‘Secure Token’ section at the bottom of the screen, turn the switch on.
4. You will then be requested to re-enter your password, and then save changes.
5. Upon your next attempt to enter 888poker with your username and password, you will receive another blank field where you will need to enter a 6 digit code which you will receive by email. *Please make sure that emails from 888poker are not blocked or going to Spam. If for some reason you do not receive the email, please contact support@888poker.com.

You should now be able to enter your account. Take into consideration that the code you receive will be your 2nd level authentication code for 3 hour. You will not receive more password emails if you try to re-enter your account during that time period, and you should use that same code.

*Important – For the time being and until we develop this feature for mobile as well, you will not be able to enter your account via mobile device once this feature is turned on.

Better than nothing i guess. By the way, do you know that there is a Google Authenficator that makes it much easier with your smartphone.

that's the most terrible "upgrade" I've ever seen. So if I multi-table and my screen is full of tables I can no longer see the chat because I need the extra space for more important things on my screen. if that is a try to make 888poker more social by encouraging players to use the chatbox that's the worst try I've ever seen. -i can guarantee this will rather lead to the opposite because people don't want to see that big ugly chatbox with these useless buttons.

oh well, these buttons...they look like from an electric toy for 3year old children that makes a sound when you push one of the buttons.
if these buttons succeed to encourage players to write more immature stuff like fish/donk to each other then you absolutely achieved to make 888Poker an even more antisocial place as it has been before. seems like that is another good reason to keep the chatbox closed once and for all.

888Rep, please tell me this cosmetic change is only a temporary experiment or smth. like that?!

I got an email from 888 with a link to an old client and instructions to install it/keep my old notes/hh. So now it's fixed but it was an annoying couple of weeks.

Thanks, but I am already using this old one which u recommended because the 888Poker client doesn't scale on 4K monitors how they should according to the Windows 7 DPI settings since they bugged it with an "update" which was released sometime around the beginning of 2016.

I was told multiple times this new update which was first announced to be released in December 2016 should fix my certain problem but it seems even that promise was too good to be true.

888Rep, can you at least confirm that this update fully resolves the DPI scaling issue with 4k monitors?

The Beta version we released should have solved this.Can you download it and let us know how it works for you.

Sunday Challenge 1R

703 players invested $90 each for the 1R tourney, creating a prize-pool of over $86,000.
Brazil’s “keybr” and Canada’s “MacqarielNSW” eventually struck a deal, with each player taking home close to $14,000!
urbo Mega-Deep and Mini Mega Deep

222 players joined the $40,000 GTD Turbo Mega-Deep Tournament with a $215 buy-in.
Sweden’s “perrymejsen” collected a solid $9,079,80 for 1st place.

The Mini Mega-Deep kicked off with an incredible 1,409 entries and 579 re-entries.
At the final table we saw another deal closing the tournament, this time by “icewinda” and Canada’s “tanp83”, who each took home over $5,500.

Certainly a worthy investment for a mere $22 buy-in!

Having a tournament festival during scoop in a country where you can't play online doesn't seem like a good idea

You can play online in Spain, as it is a regulated market now they can only play against each other as far as I am aware.

Lol... seems pretty obvious to me he means you can't play scoop there, as it's a segregated market.

We have a client update which is not yet available for all of our players but we would be happy for you Guys to download and let us know if you have feedback. The updates include:

*Search field in scheduled tournaments. This will allow you to search for specific tournaments by their full or partial name, as well as by their ID.

* You Guys have correctly asked for fee indication indication (when relevant) in the more info box of tournaments with R&A/ Re-entry. This has now been added.

For those of you who have not been using the previous update (which was not automatically updated) this version also includes:

* fix for the sound mixer issue, which was not allowing players to change the volume on 888 without changing the volume for other programs as well.

* A fix for graphic issues that players with 4k resolution screens were experiencing.

* Allowing smaller minimum table size.

* A couple new features affecting table display

does that mean the clients will merge into one with a bigger player base?
