Nearly a month later I still cannot log on to WSOP. They are still "looking into it" and will get back to me within 48 hours as of 3.5, 2 weeks ago and a week ago.

WSOP support finally replied to my second email complaint. Thing is, I'm on Windows and gave the all of my computer's specs two weeks ago, and now they reply how to fix the problem on a Mac.

I've tried that twice already. Neither tech had any solutions to suggest, and both ended up saying that it was a known problem that they're working on.

Where are the biggest online tournyes I can play?

I live in NJ, I know Borgata has a Sunday 40k guaranteed but I am wondering if there are any others out there which are bigger?

Am I limited to only playing on NJ sites living in New jersey?

Re: New Jersey Online Poker Thread - Also check out the sponsored support forums above

guarantee every NJ poster in this thread has a stars acct and stars nj even has their own thread.

Starsnj only has so many players and 888nj/WSOPnj often leads it on pokerscout.

So make no mistake when we are playing on 888 or partynj we are always playing as many stars tables as we can find (2-3 for me)

For the poster above looking for tournaments just stick to stars especially with the upcoming NJScOOP

No heads up cash. Garbage.

Borgata/party the place to be.

Re: New Jersey Online Poker Thread - Also check out the sponsored support forums above

got this from a WSOP rep...pretty quirky workaround and they acknowledge its not an official fix.

Hello,

We would like to thank you for raising the technical difficulties experienced in downloading the WSOP Client to your Apple Mac computer. We deeply apologize for this inconvenience and we are happy to provide the below solution for this issue.

Please follow the instructions below in order to successfully download the WSOP Software to your Mac computer. If you would like over the phone assistance, please contact us toll free at 1-855-218-6232 and one of our customer operations representatives will gladly walk you through the process.

DISCLAIMER: 888poker is not advising any of its players to make any changes to their system configuration. Below is an option found to have worked on the Mac OS Sierra while a more permanent and user-friendly solution is being worked on by 888poker. Players are instructed to proceed at their own risk. If any further Technical support may be required, please consider contacting Apple Support.

Troubleshoot Preconditions:
- Must uninstall the previous version before installing the new one.
- Installation must be done through Safari. Chrome and Fir Fox will not work.
- Must have administrator username and password for Mac.

Troubleshooting Steps

Restoring Gatekeeper in Sierra with a Terminal command.
First, quit System Preferences if it’s open and then open a new Terminal window.
Terminal window can be opened easily by searching it in the finder.
Enter the following command, followed by your admin password when prompted:
sudo spctl --master-disable
Now, re-launch System Preferences>Security & Privacy>General, you’ll now see that “Anywhere” has been restored.
Click the padlock in the lower-left corner to enter your password, then select “Anywhere” from the list.
(The security feature will no longer alert you about apps from unidentified developers)

Download and install the poker NJ application.

Note : The system preferences can easily be restored back to its original state by running the following command in the Terminal:
sudo spctl --master-enable

Thank you for your cooperation.

Regards,

Jonathan A.

Yeah, I have a stars account but I think Poker Stars NJ is different than Poker Stars in general right? I'm under the impression that the PokerStarsNJ only has NJ players on it... The guaranteed tournaments really aren't any bigger than Borgata from what I've seen, plus it takes so long to get paid where on Borgata I usually get my withdrawls the next day!

For those still on XP, know that WSOP and 888 will no longer work on that operating system.

WSOP traffic sucks now. Feel like we lost at least 50% of the players after this crap software update. Half the days I log in there's no games above 50NL...

Re: New Jersey Online Poker Thread - Also check out the sponsored support forums above

I have noticed a drop in 888 traffic as well. I get literally once an hour disconnects from 888 when playing starsnj at same time. If disco occurs during preflight I time out. Postflop im usually able to recover and play the hand but considering it is a regulated legit site like stars I can't believe I get any discos.

So I mostly play stars and seals now. I'll open 888 if I can't get 4 tables going.

My only tip is to logout and relog back in. For me I have to do it a few times before they allow me to play. It only started happening after the update.

It takes me 20-30 seconds for location services to confirm for me. this must be a different service than stars cause they take like a second.

Yup, no fixed limit holdem. Only omaha hi and nl.

omaha hi has a very odd rake structure; gives like 75% net rakeback compared to other sites. I am scared about posting things like that but there is no way 888 reads this thread, cares about poker over casino, or would even have the programming capabilities to change the rake.

Thanks for the info. 888 didn't send me any useful info in their response and just said to call so I am just giving up on them for now.

I tried getting on to Party Poker NJ but I keep getting kicked saying they can no longer confirm I am in NJ. Their support gave me a cryptic response on the issue: "This is a technical issue that is being worked on as we speak, but it has been going on for a while now and I cannot tell when it will go away completely. The steps I provided you with initially are the ones to follow whenever this happens." (those steps being, relog into Party Poker, restart your PC, restart your modem/router)

I guess I will try Pokerstars NJ now.

Welp yeah do pokerstars first before party/borgata or 888/wsop. You will be most impressed and get the best experience with pokerstarsnj

it's not even close for me.

If you can not geolocate to starsnj you know the issue is likely on your end.

All of those sites use the exact same geolocation software.. Stars support is better though.

Have people had any luck/tips playing on an ethernet line? Id prefer not to have to rely on wifi networks around. Seems about 1 day a week I can get on w ethernet, rest of the time must be with home wifi network enabled.

I believe you are required to have a wifi device enabled for geolocation, although you can have it not connected and just play on ethernet.
