You have to be within range of other WiFi networks also that can triangulate your position. In other words, your niehgbors.

My office area in my new house is in a bad spot to receive the signal from my neighbors. But I solved that by turning on my 4g hotspot on my phone and on my verizon jetpack thing at the same time. Two extra Wifi signals. I don't connect to either of them. But the extra WiFi hits are all jt needs to see.

You can do that OR get some sort of antenna/receiver that can pick up the WiFi signals from your neighbors. Try different parts of the house potentially...such as a window that is closest to your neighbor's house. See if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the advice. When I was able to successfully be located earlier today, it was when I tried playing upstairs as opposed to downstairs. But now I'm upstairs again and it is not working. I see other wifi networks listed as available on my computer though, so I assume those are my neighbors.

So my buddy wants to bet me 5k he can play WSOP or any NJ site from New York, bc he’s in IT and says he can rig it and never get caught?

Is this possible?
I really want to bet him but he’s really confident and he has an office in secaucus and says his computer goes through there from New York.

Is there a way for him to do this? Anyone ?

I’ve heard it’s near impossible to play if you’re not physically in New Jersey

Can he get me a job in Secaucus? Sort of serious. I'm good with math.

I understand there have been players that have been able to play in the past due to being near the PA/NJ border. Also, players that have not been able to play due to being near the border. I do believe Geolocation have made great strides. Currently, it isn't recognizing my location and I live in Jersey so I am unable to play. The only recommendation I get from their Support is to play on their App which does work, but it's not ideal since I like to multi-table and play on my PC. Good luck if you take this bet

I’ll ask... it’s a lot of Ethernet cables.. are you good with packets?

Ya I’ve heard some crazy stuff about the geolocation or whatever... I was hoping someone would come in here and know for sure if it’s possible/impossible... I don’t trust these it robot guys

Yes, near impossible and obviously not worth the risk either

I’m not advocating for doing it or anything nefarious... I tend to agree it’s “near” impossible... that’s why I’m taking that side of bet

But my friend is in IT and thinks he can do it and I was under impression you can’t. I tried to bet $100 he couldn’t do it but he insists on $5k minimum bet which makes me think he knows something I don’t.

The funny thing is my friend doesn’t even want to play on the site and nor do I... it’s just one of those IT debate type things that he thinks bc his internet goes “through” New Jersey that he would be able to do it.

The funniest part is he won’t even attempt to do it without a minimum of 5k wagered. He doesn’t even want to waste the time downloading. I said let’s just make a friendly wager gentleman’s bet for no money and he refuses.

So it’s 5k or nothing

888 Poker is dog ****. I've been playing over a month on there and they still haven't validated my identity for me to cash out. I've emailed them eight times with no response and recently wrote the New Jersey State Division of Consumer Affairs and copied 888 Poker. Guess who responded? That's right. Consumer Affairs.

Now I have to file a formal complaint because these people hold your money with zero response. No one should play on this site.

Yeah, your friend thinks that being on his company intranet is enough to circumvent geolocation detection for NJ sites. They are more sophisticated than that. I'm not up on the latest, but I think you are required to prove your location through a cellphone? Either way, they use more than your IP address for location detection.

But with that said, I wouldn't bet against him.

Thanks for response..

Ya I think he can do remote access on a computer that’s in New Jersey and do it that way. He said there’s like 2-3 ways he could do it.

I work in IT. It's unlikely he's able to consistently do this over a long period of time.

That said, for a short period like one hand or one session this is doable. Especially if he owns an office in NJ. I wouldn't make this bet.

For the last 2 years+ I've played on the BetMGM skin and not once on the Borgata skin. All of a sudden I'm getting emails for offers on the Borgata skin that are way better than I'm getting on BetMGM. For example I got a freeroll ticket for the 50 seat into the $1060 WPT main on Borgata skin and didn't get the same offer on BetMGM in spite of earning about 5k points per month so I'm switching to Borgata. Does anyone know how to import player notes from one skin to another?

PartyPoker NJ lost my business yesterday/today. They sent me multiple invites to their WPT main event satellite, which I then attempted to register to. Got a message no ticket, so I contacted customer support a few days before and was told "Everything is good on our end you're registered, come back Saturday." I follow that log in Saturday and can't register, I contact customer support again put on hold until I get disconnected no follow up call. I call back after the disconnect and talk to someone else about the issue, they tell me I'll have a response in 24 hours. I tell them I don't have 24 hours, they say the'll put a note in to have them respond in time. I call 30 minutes before the start of the game and I'm told to hold. 40 minutes later I'm told they've been having issues with that, it has to go to another department to be handled. So I figure there won't be a fix... about 2 minutes to 7 they say they've issued me a ticket to the other freeroll that starts at 7. I go to log in and register... guess what? No ticket available. Get back in touch with customer support they try to figure things out for another 30 minutes - tournament is out of late registration and told I'll get a response from the proper department. I get a response later asking me to screen shot it not letting me enter... a tournament that's been running for hours... with no late registration available. Sure that's going to happen. I let them know their own schedule and say I can't do that. Eventually today I get a message saying there's nothing more that they can do and no explanation as to why, or how it happened. My two cents, if they can't even issue a ticket correctly why would I trust them with my money?

TLDR: Poker site invites me to multiple freerolls, plays run around with customer service and doesn't allow me to register to said tournaments.

Sorry if this is a thread already but I can’t seem to find it. Does anyone know what is up with Borgata’a casino cage withdrawal method? I requested two withdrawals last Saturday and they were literally approved in 5 minutes.

Two days ago I requested a withdrawal of $3,500 and it still is pending and not approved. I don’t understand how the other cashiers were rapid approved and available for pickup but now this one seems to be delayed. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Also, admins, if there is a thread for Party NJ feel free to merge.

Thanks

I installed teamviewer on my laptop at one point and it was impossible to get geo-location to work ever again on my laptop. Not sure if that is case for you as well.

A couple weeks ago I was in the $50 PLO Mania on WSOP.com for NJ when all the geolocation issues happened. While StarsNJ took care of my issues immediately, WSOP.com still hasn't refunded my $50.

I've e-mailed them, sent a multiple messages through their twitter, messaged their support when their twitter claimed they refunded all parties. It's just $50 sure, but now I have to question how I can put another cent on the site if a geolocation issue means my money is just gone. I spent a few thousand in buy-ins this year on the site and I'm pretty annoyed. Hoping creating a thread here helps.

Wondering if anyone else has encountered the same issue?

One PC I use geolocates fine, the network card finds several wifi networks in the area, no issues.

Another PC, brand new one actually, I am unable to locate, probably because the network card is only finding the network in my home, no other ones in the area.

I have tried everything within the settings to get more wifi networks to show up, but to no avail.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with their network card? If so how did you resolve it?

They finally did refund me. Need to fix up that wait time though.

I deposited with WSOp using the october20 3 weeks ago to get the 100% up to 400 bonus. I deposited with paynearme, sent an email showing the receipt and bonus code.

Bonus is never added after many more emails all which go ignored besides the occasional auto respond message.

I figured out how to contact the New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement which led me to this nice lady's email address that works for them:

Kerry.Langan@njdge.org

They are now looking into it and it is assigned to an investigator.

If anyone else has any trouble with these people who think they can just ignore any problems, please contact the NJDGE, it's very easy and it's what our tax dollars are for.

Hello, I tried posting this in the commercial software thread but it won't let me for some reason.

Can't seem to download the WSOP NJ client on my MAC, currently updated running Mojave. I followed the steps to get around opening apps from unidentified developers by copying and pasting the command in terminal, but still no luck.

Any help would be appreciate, playing on my phone sucks.
