For what it's worth I've been pleasantly surprised by the traffic so far. They have both freeroll tournaments and free ring games. In the ring games if you accumulate enough tokens you can use them to buy in to the higher-dollar freeroll tournaments, so it's not like Zygna where there's zero reason not to just shove every hand. There are always stations and maniacs at the table from whom to take chips. Multi-tabling is supported even on the web client.

Yes, funded by ads, and like ClubWPT you can subscribe for either $20 or $30 a month to play adless.

I have been checking out Big Ugly Poker, a similar ad supported poker site which is just getting started, and is currently sponsoring a dedicated forum here on 2+2. While ATM, I'm not sure that BUP is gonna make it (players currently down to 2 or 3, really poor software, very slow play, and no posts on the forum by either staff or players for several days), I talked to someone playing on there who's also played on NLOP for several months, and claims to have won over $300 during that time.

Considering this player's a total fish with not a clue about betting, odds, etc., if someone like that can make that kind of money in that of short a time, it seems like a decent player should be able to do well there. I think the main thing is having the time to devote to it without going totally nuts, and being able to deal with playing for long periods with the spewtards that frequent these sites, because they don't require you to deposit any money.

I don't know how NLOP is able to legally pay out real money, but apparently they are. BUP plans to pay out by using coins that are won in tourneys or by cashing chips into coins from their continuous 'cash-type' game. The coins are then used in their store to buy gift cards from Amazon or Paypal, or at least that's what the prototype shows. The store is not currently functional.

This player says the ads on NLOP play in a separate window off to the side of the table, and you can run them back to back continuously. BUP's ads run over top of the table, so you can't play while they are running.

There is also another similar site called Cafrino, which the same player also plays on. They were apparently bought out by NLOP not too long ago. The player says NLOP pays very quickly, but Cafrino takes a long time and that hasn't changed since the merger.

It's only been 4 days but I won $1500 on a free roll last weekend ( Ya, obvious brag) . the problem is, I can't withdraw it because the amount is over their $600 max daily withdrawal. Also can't withdraw less.

They said they're "working on it " but I'm not getting the warm and fuzzies.

Anyone have any experience with them ? CardPlayer magazine sent me the invite but they're not affiliated with NLOP .

Should I be worried ?

An update from the above post: They have not responded like they promised. My $1500 is still sitting there and I have no way of even escalating this. I was hoping for better given this is a USA based site.

I would suggest you stay for away from this site unless something changes. I will update here if it gets resolved.

Sorry you're still having problems, preki. I registered on the site a couple of weeks ago, and haven't had any issues playing there. Wish I could help you, but I guess the only people that can are the admins at NLOP. There aren't a lot of people playing there, so I would think they would want to get any new players that they could. Best of luck to you.

Why bother playing here ? It's been a month (almost) since I placed 2nd in a freeroll and all I've gotten from Support is " we're still waiting for confirmation"
Not sure what needs to be confirmed. They just ignore any questions you submit. No phone number to call, no live support.

The laggyness of this site is awful. If you play for an hour or so, it will just freeze up. Might have something to do with the ads running constantly , but I'm not sure.

You'd have to have rocks in your head to pay a membership fee here.

Buyer beware

Thanks for the warning, it might save someone’s money. But are you sure that you’ve tried every possible way to contact them? Maybe there is a way to reach support and get your reward, but you haven’t find it yet? I‘m just guessing and hoping.

I've contacted support via the only way you can; email. They respond every now and then , but not with any concrete promises. Just that they're working on it. I also emailed Cafrino, the parent company and am waiting on their response.

I'd have zero hope on this but it's a U.S. based company. Supposedly, Cafrino is merging their player base with NLOP right now.

Almost funny that NLOP sent me an email yesterday that cash outs will be "immediately" from here on out. Um, really ? They haven't responded to my email questioning that statement.

NLOP IS A SCAM! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR MONTHS 2 GET PAID. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
10-29-2018 , 10:12 PM
BFRET, It's been almost 2 months for me and I stopped trying to contact them. They never respond. Was thinking about contacting their advertisers to see if they're aware that the site doesn't pay its winners.

How long you been waiting and for how much money ?
10-30-2018 , 11:25 AM
over 2 months not paid by cafrino, now money moved to nlop, still cannot get paid. site is f---ing joke.
10-31-2018 , 12:00 PM
Since NLOP / Cafrino are US based businesses, I wonder if there's anything to gain by reporting them to the Better Business Bureau ? What about Attorney Generals office of California ? Would they be interested in a "gambling" site that takes money from players in the form of memberships, but doesn't pay prize winners ?

At this point, I don't give a **** if they get closed down.

Owing to NLOP acquisition by Cafrino please use Cafrino thread from now on.

Thank you.
