My PokerStars account is unjustifiably frozen.

Hello guys,I have a long time since I posted here.
Today I got a message from Pokerstars,that stated tha my account was being frozen for a review to be conducted,because I was suspicious for braking the terms and condiitons of game safety and integrity.

First of all I want to point out that I am an average reg in 15s spin n gos sometimes taking a shot at 30s.
I am from Greece and my name is Gus.

Pokerstars was asking what haveIi done in the past year to improve my game and what tools or software do I use to study and get better etc.

What setup do I use,what softare do I use and stuff like that.
To close the email they asked me what relation do I hve with Akis_333 and flesske.

The email was like that.

Hello ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΣ,

Your account is currently under review for possible violations of our Terms Of Service and has been temporarily frozen while we complete this review.

To assist us, we request that you answer the following queries:

Please explain in specific detail what you have done over the last year in terms of studying, coaching and anything to improve your poker game and advantage over your opponents. Particular details that must be included are:

User IDs of all players you have worked with in any capacity;
Changes in game formats played and studied and the reason/s why;
Deliberate changes in strategy or playing style implemented in our games;
Software, tools and methods used to study;
Software and tools used as you play on Stars;
What is your current technical setup when accessing Stars and how that has changed;
Approximate dates of all of the above events.

- Where do you access our site from? (home, office, etc)

- What kind of Internet connection do you use?

- Did you receive assistance in setting up your computer? If so, please provide the details.

- Have you ever shared your account with someone else or have you accessed somebody else's account?

- Please explain in detail, any relationship you have with the following players:

akis_333
flesske

Do you have any other information that you would like us to take into account?

We ask for a response within 48 hours. In the event that no response has been received within that time frame, we will continue with our review without your contribution.

Regards,

Andrew
Stars Game Integrity

After I have thorougly mentioned how i got better in poker.(I am a part of a greek stable right now,since the beggining of January 2017),mentioned all the software I use,what PC do i have what Pc monitor and even what mouse do I use,after I told them everything about the software I use.(PT4,Stars Helper and Equilab,I got to the point that they ask me to tell them what is my relation to akis and flesske.

First of all I since im in this forum for a long time I know what akis have achieved in the poker world,but I am in a stable that akis has nothing to do with it.
I know that many greek players have been caught in the crossfire because they knew akis but I do not.
In fact I would never put my account in jeopardy since I know what happens to guys that have a close conncetion with him.

All in all I am very dissapointed because it's not that I crushed spin and made a ton of money.
I am an average two tabling regular playing mainly 15s spin n gos and taking hsots at 30s.
I know that my game is nowhere near strong to move uo the stakes to 60s and maybe 100s.I really do not know what to say and hope this ends well soon,although I think I'm getting banned or ignored to say the least from Pokerstars.

As for the other player flsske I really don't know who this guy is.

Any opinions on this matter guys.?

P.S I've thorougly explained all the questions that the e-mail asked and the some.
I did not take all the time to present you with my answers cause I wanted to be brief.

Feel free toi ask me anything you want.
I'm open to any question and any suggestion anyone has to say about this matter.
Although the situation seems to be extremely bleak for me.

I really don't know.
I think it's a templated message reffering to akis and flesske.
I have no recollection of the second name and I am sure I haven't played with him at my tables.
For that I am 100% sure.

Now I think that everybody that's in the world of online poker knows who Akis is.
I guess the fact that I am from Greece makes it easier fro me to somewhat have a relation with him!
Dunno!

I think the post you've replied to would suggest otherwise.

I just did a search for his name on 2+2, and it gives me ~20 results that aren't your recent posts. So I don't believe he, or what he has done, is nearly as well-known as you think he/it is.

He was not very active on 2p2 though.I urge you to do your own research and See for yourself who he is and what he has done.
Very prolific player with top notch skill level,one of the most succesful in sit'n gos.

Then he got into some shady things and pokerstars had to ban him completely,but it is believed that he is regging multiple accounts to play but that's all allegations.

Congrats on playing like one of the most successful sit-n-go players, that will win you a lot of money on all the other sites besides Pokerstars.

I think it is very likely that they are going to ban you. If I were you I would do a lot of research on previous cases like this on this forum and all over the internet. Do what the successful people did, I would also write to them in your native language so things don't get lost in translation.

Do not lie to them about anything. Since you say you are innocent, then the whole truth is all you should say to them. This will help your case and it will make sure that you don't contradict yourself at all.

I would also have a smart poker player proof read your correspondences with Pokerstars, just to make sure that you are saying everything clearly and answering all their questions.

If you get a little stuck exchanging emails then call and ask to speak to a manager. You can also write to the licenser and see if they can help out.

Long road ahead for you unfortunately, good luck though! Let us know how it turns out.

Neither are Phil Ivey or Phil Hellmuth, but there are thousands of posts about both. Just as there are, for good reasons or bad, about many other players who have rarely or never posted on 2+2.

I have no desire to do my own research - I don't care who he is. You're the one who brought him into the thread, because you've been asked about your association with him. If you think the little information you've given about him is all that matters, then so be it. If you think it would be important for people to know more, you should consider explaining rather than sending them off to do their own research.

You can prolly say bye bye to pokerstars. If they think he can access the games from your account you are getting canned for sure.

First of all I did not play like him I reckon.If id did I would not be playing 15s Spin n gos with average ChipEV,I would play 100s
and crushing so I don;t think that this matter that occured with my account is a matter of playing styles.

I think that the fact that I am from Greece and play spin n gos regularly makes it easier in their eyes to be somewhat connected to a player like him.

I sent a very explanatory email,trying to be very ery specific as to what have I done in the past year to become better and what PC setup is,and what software do I use to play.

I was very thorough in my review and I think that my email was fine.
I don't think I need to correspond with them in my native language.
I'm not the best in writing english but I think that I can handle,this type of communication with them.But I will definately consider it.Soeaking in my native language can be way more direct and fluent.

I will do my research but I have heard that it takes a long time beofre you get a response from them.

My play style and my hardware and software are the same since the beggining of the year when I started playing spin'n'gos so I don't think that they can find anything suspicious.

I really don't know,I was amazed after I knew that my account was frozen.
Time will tell of the outcome!

Plus he is a player that plays 100s.If he could acces my account and play from my account he wouldn't play 15s.
I haven't even played a single 100s game nor 60s from January cause I have limited the buy ins in my account to not surpass the 30s level,so I don't think that is a fair assumption to make on their part!

That doesn't really matter. From stars pov he could just grind it up quickly from the 15s to 100s and play them after that. There have been several cases like this when the person related to a banned person is allso banned. They just say ary you did nothing wrong but we can't take any risks etc.

Re: My PokerStars account is unjustifiably frozen.

These questions by pokerstars about game strategy and game formats are unreal.

Even if your playing style or stats are similar to akis or any other player is that violation of

any rule? I have no idea who that akis is but if you re saying that you had no

contact with him during the game,and he was not playing on your account it would be

big shame and injustice if they ban you.Anyway we all know that creating new accounts

on pokerstars is not high science.

Re: My PokerStars account is unjustifiably frozen.

I think it's good that a poker site freezes the accounts of suspicious players, investigates and seeks their feedback, and then uses all that information to make a decision.

Without knowing much about the specifics of the situation (obviously I have no idea whether you are guilty or not) this seems like a pretty reasonable way for them to behave. How else should they handle such things?

Of course creating a new account on Pokerstars is not high science but if I reached the consensus in my head that oh **** it let's make a new account I wouldn't waste the time to post about this issue in the first place.

What I am trying to point out is hat I am being accused of something I am not guilty about for a relation to a person I've never met or spoke in the past!

Plus creating a new account that s not in your name takes several risks that Inam not willing to take!

What I will do eventually is post my correspondance between me an them and receive some kind of advice from the community!

To close I've heard that these account freezes take up to a semester to reach a verdict and that is what scares me the most!
Waiting for like 4 months to get a negative answer!

There is nothing the community can do to help or advice you. Other than wait and see. It sucks for sure but there is nothing you can really do. They have the right to choose their customers and if they decide that you are not welcome anymore then that's it.

KossuKukkula my point was why would this akis

play on existing account if he wants to cheat and not make

another one when that's easier? So it was not logic to do that.
Most importantly I'm NOT advocating anyone to

make new account spec not kakospaidis cause it seems

to me that he is not guilty.

Because it's easier to play existing account instead of making a new one with fake information and verify it. And you need to play from different ips than the banned accounts.

Exactly.Iwould need a whole new pc to be able to play again.Something not only expensive but also tiring.Playing with your own account is topo priority for me.If I get my account blocked I'm saying fair well to PS.

Of course it`s easier,but that way they will catch you 100%.

If akiss is some kind of poker beast it would not be a problem for him to buy

new pc and ask some of his friends or ****n neighborhood to create an account

and play on that account.Make no sense to play on existing account.

I too am glad PS does this, although they have no chance to make every decision correctly and that is unfortunate. Kinda like the US judicial system.
