Monitor size for multi-tabling? Monitor size for multi-tabling?

Hey guys,

I currently play NLHE cash on Bovada, Ignition, and sometimes BOL. I usually open up 3-4 tables at once, on my 15 inch laptop. I cannot fully fit all tables in the screen, so as you can imagine there is a lot of overlap and clicking around to see where the action is.

So my question is, what size monitors do you guys use for multi-tabling? I found a couple of nice ones on amazon that are 21” or so, is that big enough?

I want to be able to Tile the tables instead of Cascade

Thanks

I use 2 x 27 inch monitors and usually only 4 table.

That allows me to see 4 tables at the default size. Any more tables and I start to overlap.

Personally I wouldn't go smaller than a 23, especially if you're only going with 1 monitor.

Bigger the better lol

Lol thanks man. Yeah I want to be able to fit all 4 tables on one monitor with no overlap!

Anyone else have any experience with fitting 4 tables on one monitor in a tile manner?

I am lost here - when i was buying monitor i was looking only for maximum resolution not monitor inches, I was 12-15 tabling 45-180man before AmayaStars.
I was always tiling tables.

With 1920 x 1080 resolution you can fit 12 tables smallest sizing possible but it take full space (when opening lobby it coming up over tables) if playing stars only (Or room with same minimum table sizing), 15 tables is smaller overlaps but can see every starting hands and with hotkeys can usually manage action.
Some smaller rooms have different minimum sizing for tables and more like 9 might be maximum with small overlaps but mayor rooms usually as i have seen use same minimum sizing as stars use.

I mean you probably have different goals but i don't think it that important what inches it is, it more important that it 1920 x 1080 resolution or better and you will be able fit 4 tables with no overlaps in any of them.
Obviously bigger screen in inches is more comfortable for everyday use but anything 22,23 and 24 inch is usually same 1920 x 1080 resolution what will get job done (Meaning tables will fit same on screen but 24 inch monitor itself will be little bigger - not that 24 inch screen with same resolution will somehow will fit more tables differently then 22 inch one), anything higher can be better resolution but usually go up in price pretty quick.

I use a 30" to 2-table Zone. It works well.

I was playing 4 tables on a 14" CRT 12 years ago and it works fine, OP doesn't have any issues at all

Exactly. Resolution determines how many tables will fit on your screen; screen size determines how big those tables will be.

Awesome, thanks guys. So a 21.5 inch monitor with 1920x1080 resolution will get the job done? (Tables with no overlap)

Yes
It will fit up to 9 tables very well in most rooms and 6 tables 100% on every single room with great view.

Hey did you ever find an answer to your problem? I'm trying to 4 table on my laptop and it won't work.(overlap, time outs, etc) I have a Dell 2007fp monitor capable of 1900x1200 resolution and hope this works. I'll have the connector cable tomorrow, so I'll know then.

Hey man. No I haven’t bought a new monitor yet. But if I would, I’d buy the 1920x1080 resolution monitor, 21.5” plus. I haven’t been so urgent to buy one because I’ve been playing 2 tables of zoom at once, and I can fit that just fine on my laptop. Let me know how yours works
