Let's all take a few minutes today to tell President Obama to respond to the poker survey and to tell Congress to support our right to play:
  1. Let's tell the White House to respond to the poker petition via the tweet HERE and via a short note to the petition feedback site HERE.
  2. Let's send House Subcommittee for Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Chair Mary Bono Mack and the rest of the subcommittee tweets requesting a markup for HR 2366, the Online Poker Act: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. [Speed tip: Click these links with either your middle mouse button or CTRL + your left mouse button to open these in separate tabs. Or, use an add-on like Multi Links to do the same. Then, go tab-by-tab to knock them out.]
  3. Let's send the Senate Indian Affairs Committee members these tweets: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
  4. Let's keep posting and liking pro-poker comments to the Facebook walls of Senate Indian Affairs Committee members Sen. Barrasso HERE, Sen. Cantwell HERE, Sen. Hoeven HERE, Sen. Inouye HERE, and Sen. Murkowski HERE.
  5. Let's send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE, and let's share today's action on our own Facebook walls HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc.to encourage others to participate. The past 183 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

If you wish to do more today, please consider posting pro-poker comments to some the Facebook walls of some senators HERE. We can't do them all at once, of course, but let's all try to hit at least three.

Over 8700 of us told Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl, Speaker of the House John Boehner, and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to take action on legislation to license online poker via the poker petition. As we approach the one year anniversary of Black Friday, let's all take action to make ourselves heard on this matter of our personal liberty.

I sent today's plan out as part of this week's PPA member update, so let's all pitch in to ensure good participation!
  1. To leverage the impact of the petition, let's send Sen. Reid, Sen. McConnell, Sen. Kyl, Rep. Boehner, and Rep. Cantor prefilled, editable tweets reinforcing the number of signatures: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
  2. Next, let's post and like pro-poker comments on their Facebook walls HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. Let's also post HERE (KY residents only). Simply tell them that online poker enthusiasts won't go away or give up and that over 8700 people have signed the poker petition at www.theppa.org/changepetition. Let's also ask them to support legislation like HR 2366, the Online Poker Act.
  3. Let's send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE, and let's share today's action on our own Facebook walls HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc.to encourage others to participate. The past 188 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

The National Fraternal Order of Police sent Senator Harry Reid, Senator Mitch McConnell, Speaker John Boehner, and Rep. Nancy Pelosi a letter in support of "a strong regulatory framework for legal gaming" (here)! As FOP supported the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, this is significant for us.

So, let's tell lawmakers of FOP's support for licensed online gaming (and, by extension, online poker) today:
  1. Let's send Sen. Reid, Sen. McConnell, Sen. Kyl, Rep. Boehner, Rep. Cantor, Rep. Bono Mack, and Rep. Upton prefilled, editable tweets: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
  2. Let's post on the Facebook walls HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. Let's also post HERE (KY residents only). While there, be sure to like the pro-poker posts from yesterday.
  3. Let's send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE, and let's share today's action on our own Facebook walls HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc.to encourage others to participate. The past 189 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!
