I don't see that option. Is it not available on the mobile site ?

Forget it. I found it. Thanks.

It's possible that when you are copy/pasting your bitcoin address you are including a blank space before or after the address. Merge will say it's invalid because the # of characters is not correct.

Y'all seem pretty informed with what is going on in the poker world. So I'll just ask my question here. Are you guys doing taxes on poker withdraws? I've never received a 1099 or w-2 from any website.

Wow, silly but yes. This solved it. When you line up the cursor at the far left and paste the code, it automatically put it 2 spaces to the right. I manually backspaced and it cleared the error message. Thanks!

IRS doesn't care how your income is derived or whether you receive a 1099 for it or not; they want their cut regardless. Maybe you will never get called on it, but if you are, it'll be an expensive mess to sort out. So yes, of course you should be paying taxes on your gambling winnings* (not just withdrawals).

Not sure if this has been answered , but it's been a week now and blockchain won't generate a new id to receive money. And the website I'm using won't let me use the same ID again. Every other time I've pressed receive a new ID would be generated. It just stays the same every time now. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

QFT. If you're in the US, your obligation to report income doesn't hinge on whether you get a 1099 sent to your mailbox or not.

No problem.
Question: if I haven't reported for over 7 years should I start now? Or say the hell with it?

This is really something you should talk about with a CPA or tax attorney. The solution won't be as simple as filing from 2016 on. You would have to look back on prior years and try to amend your returns as best you could. However, I'm not in a position to make any recommendations.

Regarding blockchain.info, I would use this opportunity to move to a new wallet. There are much better options out there:
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

I personally use a hardware wallet now, but I've also used Copay and MultibitHD without issues in the past.

Assuming you are playing on sites that are unregulated, you will never receive any type of tax document as these sites are licensed in other countries.

Regulated sites in NJ/NV/DE might provide you with tax forms.

Legally it is your responsibility to report any type of income or capital gain from gambling winnings. If you are playing for a living you may want to speak with an accountant regarding different types of avenues to help ensure you pay the minimum in taxes.

This is happening to me and others as well. So you're not alone.

Kinda sucks, value when received being $100 more and it's still unconfirmed.

Ok, Thanks a lot! I was tripping thinking something went wrong bc all my other transactions go through within the first 30min like they say.

I think you'll find that throughout these forums, so in future it would make more sense to ask your question in a relevant thread.

But really, do you want to be making decisions on whether or not you should continue to evade taxes based on what some strangers on the Internet tell you?

Either way, I think a quick search should find you plenty of 2+2 threads on tax issues - this thread really isn't the place for those questions.

Any issues with BTC withdrawals recently? Carbon initiated one yesterday for me which still remains pending with no confirmations as of now. With the ridiculous 5% fee they charge, can they not spare a few extra pennies to expedite confirmation?

You could have just read 1,3,4, and 5 posts above your post.

Everything is backed up. I wouldn't be blaming Merge for this really.

I've had a max BTC withdrawal pending since 1/18. (pending as in not even sent to the payment processor yet). Earlier in the month they were going through in less than 24 hours. Anyone else experiencing something like this?

I requested one on 1/18, received it 1/19.

I just received my withdrawal. 6 days seems too be the max for btc Cashouts. I'm still very impressed compared to pre btc availability.

with the issues with ACR, would certainly come back here if they would get rid of the 5% BTC withdrawal fee... just too much of a deal breaker

If thinking of withdrawling on merge would do it now before football is over. Slows down every year on how fast they pay people after football betting deposits stop coming in.
