*sigh*

It looks like the PDC and Aced migration may be delayed until December 1st. I'll post an explanation/confirmation... if I can get one

Yes, BCP is still on the Merge Cashier, as are PDC and Aced it'd seem for a few more weeks. All should have WU withdrawals still in place for those who have them unlocked.

Clicking the "cashier button" only activates the deposit right now. Instead, use the menu at the top to select "Cashier" and then "Withdrawal." You will only see checks at the moment, as do all players, even ROW. Things are being worked on and have been all day...

USA carbon player.

- Does VISA deposit work for USA?
- Just did a check withdrawal. It almost looks like I can do another request as well. So can you have multiple requests at the same time?

Just now I was able to trigger a new withdraw using the check option without uploading new verification documents (my account was verified/created right after Black Friday if that matters).

fwiw, the only way I have been able to access withdrawal options is by going directly to PO's website. If I access the cashier through the poker client, it only gives me an option to deposit, but not to withdraw! This has been the case ever since they left Cake (now known as Revolution, for Merge). Try accessing the cashier directly from whichever skin your are playing on respective web page, instead of the poker client. And please do update us on if it worked out for you and also if you have any additional withdrawal options besides a wire or a check/gift card.

FYP

But, even though the above poster implicitly validates, Kahn's credibility, if Kahn's past posting history is of any indication, the fact is, if it does not involve in some way shape or form him attempting to recruit gullible souls to his own affiliate business, 75% of the info that he provides is pure public knowledge, and the other 25% is str8 up B.S.! Besides having occasional access to some low level managers who deal with affiliates Kahn does not have any insider knowledge, nor any clue about what's really going on inside Merge HQ!

His level I strategy is simply creating threads or making posts which include info that's available to the general public, however, it enables him to draw attention to his SN, and drive ignorant individuals to his affiliate. So far he's been semi-successful as 2p2 mods basically allow him to shamelessly self-promote and advertise for FREE!

Re: Merge Network: Carbon/PDC/Aced/Sportsbook/Players Only - Deposit/Withdrawal Thread

As someone who has aired disagreements with views/information towards Kahn publicly before, I think the truth isn't nearly as bad as d3 fact0 puts it.

Kahn is helpful, and like many helpful people, it is beneficial to him. There is a trickle down effect. If I post all about Stars for a year or two and have relatively accurate information, public or not, I might be known as a "Stars information guy" on the forums after awhile. As long as there is no affiliate spam/PMing of rakeback type offer stuff, this is exactly what 2p2 wants. People with incentive coming here to post helpful information on the forums.

Now, I tend to disagree with some of Kahn's public conclusions on the business side of Merge, but his information about the network rules/player information seems to be consistently reliable (like bonus clearing rates, cashout options, play through requirements, support contacts, etc.).

His sources for information are better than you paint too. I doubt he's talking to Merge CEO/Sportsbook management, but he certainly has enough information on Carbon to make it obvious that they share stuff with him.

Re: Merge Network: Carbon/PDC/Aced/Sportsbook/Players Only - Deposit/Withdrawal Thread

d3 fact0: I think that Kahn's info has been very accurate. He has no control over delays in various implementations though; he's not a psychic; so he can't possibly know exact dates that management in the Merge Network themselves don't even know.

Also your misquote of TeflonDawg is a little over the top. It's not really one of those "FYP's" (which I think are kind of silly to begin with) that posters make; you completely rewrote the quote. I doubt that you know anything whatsoever about Kahn's winrate.

Why do you seem irritated by this?

Why would someone be ignorant if they decided to sign-up to Merge through his site?

He didn't really attack his WR just said that he earns money by being an affiliate and uses it to pad his BR, idk how he knows that to be true. His post did get me to check Kahn's profile (being the ignorant person I am) and look up his SNs on PTR. He's up less money than I thought (still prob 10x+ what I made from poker ) I just saw Minbet Millionaire under his name and expected to see crazy 1mm+ graphs. I guess Minbet Millionaire refers to the actual number of BBs he's won, graphs are still impressive though. Especially because I thought nobody really played LHE anymore lol. I could have swore that I read that a GTO strategy had been discovered for the game a while ago, is this correct or am I thinking of another game?

Re: Merge Network: Carbon/PDC/Aced/Sportsbook/Players Only - Deposit/Withdrawal Thread

I saw it as an attack on his winrate because if Kahn needs to subsidize his poker playing through his business that would mean that he is a losing player. The highest stakes limit games these days aren't really so high that they would need to be subsidized for anyone with a positive winrate.

I'm not so sure that a GTO strategy, if such a strategy exists, could ever really put an end to any of the poker games. There are just so many variables and mind games involved in playing the game that there would only be an elite few who could implement it. I play mostly limit and they are beatable. Limit requires patience and it is easy to see here at 2p2 how generally impatient a lot of people are.

Re: Merge Network: Carbon/PDC/Aced/Sportsbook/Players Only - Deposit/Withdrawal Thread

There isn't a GTO strategy yet for LHE, but the best bots in the world would probably readily beat the best humans in the world. It would probably not be a stretch to say that bots are close to GTO strategy. Bots that are very complex are constantly improving year over year in competitions.

There is a very interesting GTO discussion about LHE and heads up NL in the All Star Showdown (ike haxton and sauce123 amongst others are discussing it on a very theoretical level)

I think that its unfair to correlate him using an affiliate with his profit rate at poker. Other criticisms are probably more fair, but he's generally been a great help in providing public info.

His screennames on PTR:
Insuperable: +30k from May 2011 to April 2012, 47k paid in rake (15k rakeback)
Ineluctable: +75k from Jan 2012 to Nov 2012, 102k paid in rake (33k rakeback)

Pretty impressive, and I think the rakeback discludes whatever affiliate deal he had and how much he makes from doing affiliate stuff. Given his profit margins, and the fact that he still plays on Merge, he is obviously putting his money where his mouth is with respect to withdrawals, and I respect that.

Well. This thread has been successfully derailed by one person's individual beef. Take it somewhere else please or wrap it up with your last post. Do what you have to go to get out if your system and let us move on please

IN OTHER WORDS...

Can we get this thread back on target and discuss the new carbon cashier please?

Anybody know what the courier check option is? Would a bank wire be faster than a check?

Anybody know wha happened to any pending carbon checks that were on old merge cashier? I assume merge will cancel
Mine or still process it. I'm guessing cancel but have no idea as it doesn't show up in history or balance

This is only a guess on my part. Checks from the old cashier (merge) were sent via fedex (courier) and required a signature.

Non-courier just comes regular mail and gets dropped off so you don't need to be home.

Go to the Carbon sub-forum, that is what it is for. They discuss it there. There is no need for this thread here.

Re: Merge Network: Carbon/PDC/Aced/Sportsbook/Players Only - Deposit/Withdrawal Thread

  1. Players that were previously verified on the Merge Cashier, should now be verified on the Jazette Cashier. However, if a player wishes to use the bank wire option, there will be more documentation to upload.
  2. All options in the cashier are currently not available for USA, nor ROW players. For example, being in Canada, currently my only option is Check.
  3. Players on PDC and Aced need to continue to submit withdrawals as usual. Though I will say that anyone submitting a check now will likely not get it processed by Dec 1st on the Merge Cashier... getting in the queue won't be a bad idea though and should result in priority processing for said players once their actual skins are migrated. I would suggest banging out WU withdrawals in the interim if one has access to them.
  4. There are about 100 questions I am waiting on answers for, and the situation is made more complex by certain key personnel having very serious health issues in the short-term. Rest assured, the Carbon reps are working their tails off to acquire the procedures/timeframes/information everyone needs.

-----------------

I'll say this once about my finances... I currently play on Merge, Intertops, ACR, Bovada, iPoker, Ongame, Party, and a couple small ones many of you have never heard of. I win at all of them and have for the last decade. I also play PLO and L08 which isn't publicly tracked on Merge. I have posted million dollar graphs on 2+2, and in fact my icon is such a graph. The posting of such graphs is how I got the under-title "Minbet Millionaire"

I'd like to thank those who have defended me. I'd like to let the trolls know they have long been set to ignore (which is an easy process of clicking their user name -> User Lists -> Ignore List).

------------------

Let us please keep this thread on the intended topic of the new cashier which is serving the majority of the Merge Gaming Network. If you have some personal issue with me, PM me and we can discuss like civilized adults.
