So I haven't been playing at all lately, and I'm trying to cash out my balance before I move from Boston to Vietnam in June. I submitted for a cash withdrawal, but I see that 8-10 weeks processing time is standard and I'm moving in 7 weeks.
Do you think there's any chance I can expedite my processing time, or do I need to set up bitcoin? And if I do set up bitcoin, will it be easier/less expensive to use if I wait until I'm in Vietnam?

^It would be extremely dumb not to set up btc and do the cashout through btc. Not sure what other method you are trying to use but if it takes too long or something goes wrong with it and you don't have access to that address anymore....forget about it.

Decided leaving Carbon. Hardly anyone playing anymore. Requested a check - said 8-10 weeks. Is anyone receiving checks anymore, or should I go through the process of doing bitcoin so I can w/d faster? Thanks for advice.

Easily bitcoin it's not even close, the time you face a bounced check you will never want to receive a foreign one again.

Sorry to see you go. Guess you don't play tournaments. Bitcoin noobs can go from start to cash in hand ~2 weeks. Of course you'll have to deposit by btc ($5-$10) if option to cash out is not available yet.

Never say never. I finally went the bitcoin route. Deposited bc on carbon and just withdrew a bunch, but left enough there to still play with. Playing also on Ignition now. I do like the tournaments and software on Carbon quite alot so I am sorry the site seems to be in the process of closing down - letting us all down gently. At least that is my impression. Guess I'll still play there but probably not as much. Seems like the playing pool continues to shrink.

And thanks for everyone's help. The forums are great.

So I had Circle to move funds from Blockchain to my bank account but Circle stopped doing this. What's the alternative to Circle now?

Coinbase is the financial exchange of choice for many now. Visa bitpay card is also an attractive option. Can withdraw funds from ATMs for minimal fees or get cash back from purchases where any Visa debit card is accepted for no fee. Some of us have also continued to cash out funds via Circle by using a PREVIOUSLY USED CIRCLE GENERATED ADDRESS to transfer from Blockchain to Circle. Did 5-6 such cash outs after Circle stopped providing bitcoin addresses. Haven't done any in 2 months since getting the bitpay card. Don't know if the loophole is still viable.

ok. My first btc withdrawal requested on 5/3/17 at 5:00 PDT. It is now 96 hours and 26 minutes since that request was made. Any advice? I emailed support this afternoon at CarbonPoker Support <support@carbonpoker.ag>. I have not received a response. Please let me know if there is another avenue to contact Carbon and also if others have waited longer than 96 hours to get their BTC funds. The cashier still says "Pending".

Been waiting since 5/3 as well. Last 4 withdrawals had happened a lot quicker. Only time I had delays was requesting on a Friday and not receiving until Monday due to no transfers over weekends.

What's the best way to turn bitcoin to cash? I've been using block chain and driving 1 1/2 into Chicago to a red leaf ATM.With carbon taking 5%, block chain taking money for sending and receiving, and red leaf undervaluing bitcoin plus charging 14% transactions fees im paying out hundreds in excess charges

I'm back. So, my withdrawal did get confirmed in BlockChain dot Info from Carbon. But, then I tried to send it to Coin Base and it has been since 5/8 and still no confirms. Block chain was nice to respond to my email that they have no control over this. Is this normal for it to take this long? I've been reading as much as I can with what time I have on the bitcoin universe but I am such a Noob, I wonder if I am understanding it all correctly. The bitcoin has gone from about $1603 from when I tried the Send on Block chain to about $1830 just now. If I were to try next time to set my own fee, any links on how to understand how to do that without paying too much? If my Send eventually gets rejected or returned to my block chain account, is it better to send smaller or larger amounts, ie., break it up into smaller Sends? ?Thanks for any help.

There is currently a huge backlog on Blockchain. Folks have increased their miners' fee to no avail. You just have to wait it out. WPN bitcoin thread and Bovada/Ignition payout thread have folks with the same issue. You can increase your miners' fee if you have to resend by clicking on lower left hand box on your blockchain send screen. See EndTheFed's posts in Bovada/Ignition payout thread. Worth their weight in gold. Search feature is your friend.

Before you send a transaction, you can check https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ to make sure your fee is correct.

Also, you should send it all at once. If you broke it up into multiple transactions, you'd pay more in fees. Bitcoin fees are not determined by the amount of btc, but rather the amount of space the transaction takes up in a block. Multiple, smaller transactions, would take up more space because you would be using more inputs and as a result, you would pay more in fees.

BTC requested 5/17. Sent 5/19. Clicked Advanced Send, on wallet Send BTC screen. Miners fee indicated 2 blocks, 20 minute wait for confirmation. Did not increase miners fee. Bitpay card indicated transaction pending, but with a low miners fee. May not be picked up by bitcoin network. States funds will be returned to wallet 48-72 hours if not picked up.
