Haven't played much in a couple years and it looks like Carbon stopped giving out the Poker Odds Calculator? It was Holdem Indicator, which is still available. Was this a rule change with Carbon? or they just stopped giving it away and now you have to buy it...

The total elimination of the Calculator and note taking/color coded features was thought by some to be a move towards a more rec friendly site. However, the note taking/color coded features returned last week, so who knows, maybe the Calculator could come back in play. E-mail support or use the Comments & Improvements box in the lobby to make suggestions. I asked about any upcoming OPS or Gold Rush series and was told "The OPS or Gold Rush series are not available at the moment. We are constantly reviewing our game and table offerings and from time to time these offerings are adjusted based on a variety of factors including popularity, time zone considerations, seasonal fluctuations, just to name just a few." So make those suggestions. Some/limited impact is better than no impact.

From customer support:

Seems unlikely, considering how their support and poker room management has dealt with everything the past 3-4 years. Doubt they care or would even look into the case to prevent it or put a stop to it.

I just deposited $310 using the "JAN100PK" code they mailed to me on the 20th. I didn't get a 100% poker bonus but a $62 "general bonus" instead. I think this might be the 2nd time they've done this to me but I didn't bother doing anything about it the last time. I just emailed them . Has anybody else had this problem with the January bonus?

Update: they awarded me the bonus about a half hour after i emailed them

Did Carbon get rid of the heads up tournaments? I thought they used to even have a HU daily. Now I don't see even a Sunday HU tournament.

It's pretty stupid, but you literally have to email them every time to get the bonus.

+1, it is dumb and kind of defeats the purpose of using a code but an email takes 1 minute. I am used to it but I feel more for those that are uncommon with the fact that you have to email them. I'm sure there are some who have missed bonus opportunities for the fact that it takes an email to them to be awarded the proper bonus.

Merge bonuses have always been impossible to clear at micro stakes. I never bother to ask.

I agree it's annoying we have to reach out to them to apply the bonus but I'm just grateful they are offering anything at all after year(s?) of nothing.

Jumping on live chat is another option to get it applied. I've never done it via email but with live chat they apply the bonus in 5 minutes tops so I imagine that's the quickest way and fairly painless

I actually responded asking if they had changed their terms and conditions because on their 'Prohibited software' page, PT4 seems to be fine. However Holdem Indicator, because it calculates odds in real time seems to be not okay anymore.

They replied saying they'd look at the terms again and change them if needed. Not sure what that means, if anything...

Client hasn't worked for me all week. I guess I am the only one as I don't see any other posts. Weird, no Windows update, no client update, just worked one day and not the next. Reinstalled, changed anti-virus still nothing..anyone else? any ideas?

Any veteran players here have thoughts on collusion in the cash games? I have played on and off over the years, and there seem to be a batch of regs who never move up and have played their stakes forever, and seem to play almost daily. I would guess 2/3+ of them are from various European countries. I wonder how many are Skype contacts, sharing cards or at least working together to exploit the pretty low player pool of reg competitors. I know that several of them seem to be truly terrible regs but never seem to go broke or move down, I've wondered if some kind of collusion could be aiding them. Part of my suspicion is based in 1) Carbon's total haplessness at policing their site, and 2) the small player pool on Carbon which makes this stuff more likely imo.

Not accusing anyone of anything just wondering others' thoughts and experiences.

I've heard tell of problems with coinbase receiving withdrawals from online gambling sites.

And also, with deposits.

I've done over a dozen deposits on ACR from Coinbase over the last year w/o issue.

Can anyone confirm these problems, or whether they only happen with withdrawals?

My coinbase account was shut down several years ago. They would not confirm the exact reason, but I assume it was because of sending bitcoin to SWC (depositing).

How do players earn the bronze, silver and gold stars? The mobile and tournament winning badges are obvious.

The stars are an old promotion. Ended 2011-12.

Re: coinbase - download an app called blockchain - it's a wallet that you can use as an intermediary between coinbase and carbon for deposits/withdrawals to keep things chill.

Re: collusion - there's no way people aren't colluding in the cash games - I switched to just playing mtts because while i'm sure it still happens, it probably happens less. I hope. Plus the late registration buy in structure/pay out structure seems to work out well for me.
