I am currently a 500-1000 a week $2 SnG player and I am currently jumping stakes for the first time to $5 dollar SnGs and I'm wondering when if ever I will get invited or if anyone has ANY information on how I go about trying to get invited.

Search for posts with "Carbon Elite" in them. It finds, for example, http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=1731

I don't know the answer BUT another criteria idea popped in my head the other day and I'd be interested to see if there are any trends related to it. The rakeback provider I signed up through to Carbon offered me and other players in the same boat a promotion recently based on how much rake we generated on Carbon. We were rewarded with prizes (Apple products) or cash equivalent. So, this tells me that our rakeback provider probably still makes money off us even though we don't anymore. How/Why else would they be able to offer these prizes?

It's possible that people who get the offer for 35% are not tied to a rakeback provider. Or, at least maybe that's ONE criteria that usually needs to be met. Maybe I'm wrong, but it was something that crossed my mind.

[I get that you all want to believe that these players are killing it, they're doing well but their profits and ROI's are bloated]....Guess I'm the exception to your rule as my only 4 figure win on Carbon (June 2013) was not recorded by OPR. So my ROI should be greater than what's stated there. Just sayin...

I can tell you with 100% certainty that your theory is incorrect.

I talked to kahn and the nightly humtt has been changed to a turbo(still with 3k starting stacks). Hopefully it helps increase the number of players.

The 2.5k/6max didn't have enough players and didn't start.

if u scroll all the way to the bottom in the MTT lobby there's a list of the tournaments that were canceled b/ not enough ppl registered that day.

Not saying I disagree, but IIRC, you always say you don't know the criteria, so how could you know that does or doesn't play a factor?

I'm not allowed to say due to 2+2 rules.

Ya, wtf? Not sure what the point of taking away the other filter option was. Of course they leave us the ****ty option. Stars went to the same type of filter for their new client and I think it's awful. It's so much harder to filter out **** you don't want.

Edit: Just finished my session on SB and logged into Aced and I still have the advanced filter option. What skin are you on MJ? Not sure why they are changing things on some skins but not the others now that it's all 1 network again. Oh, Merge..... how little sense you make.

crazy though how many of the same ppl enter like 4-5 times. and some ppl like 8-10 lol, I actually think that guy made some good points but def was confused about scope/oprs tracking.

So you have to have gone through an affiliate to receive the Carbon Elite tier? Is it possible to gain this once you've already been playing on the site?

Hmm, maybe just on the PO/SB/Superbook side? Doesn't make much sense though...

He did make a somewhat valid point, but degens gonna degen no matter if there is a $215 every night or not. Seeing a $40K prize pool on a week night brings in more players imo though. I think we'll really see Merge take off after OPS across all the tournaments. They're already steadily growing.

They need to scrap all the hidden BS and just be up front. Quit hiding how to obtain the top VIP, quit making changes on some skins and not the others, quit limiting some peoples tables but not others. It just makes no sense.

Make everything uniform and people will complain much less.... If you want to cap the tables just cap them ffs.

I remember reading on here that Merge promotes players to elite VIP status at the end of each month. Are players still being promoted? Can anyone confirm they were promoted at the end of March?

I know a few people who got moved to Elite at the end of March. They are definitely giving it to people.

No, seemingly, it matters not whether you have one or don't have one.

That's the only way to get an invitation. They are not handed out to new accounts randomly.

No, that's not at all what it's implying.

I did not mean new accounts, I meant accounts that were created through an affiliate. What was your implication then?

Whether one used an affiliate or not to sign up, seems to have no bearing whatsoever on whether a person receives an invitation to Tier 3.
