Agreed. Would love to see all the Sunday majors (Big 109, 60, 33, 11) with 15 minute levels like the $215 is.

Reducing the re-entry period has been great and made the tournaments a lot more playable, and I can't say enough how awesome the reintegration has been for the games. It's great to see the guarantees getting smashed and hopefully this will be both profitable for Merge and good for all its players.

Merge is up to 16th on Poker Scout with 575 players(up from 300) and should be over 600 once they have a full 7 days of tracking. It looks like EPN has gained 5 average players since Host came over..

Any way you can win Sunday MTT seats from just playing cash? They used to give $109 MTT seats away to us cash grinders often a couple yrs ago it seemed.

You can usually get a "loyalty bonus" if you ask live chat if your account qualifies. I had a friend tell me this and I've done it once a week ever since. The bonus is a ticket that's around 10% of your total amount raked, or at least mine is.

Was playing on merge for a few months before I felt like their traffic went too far down and moved to only playing on bovada. Was thinking about redepositing just for their Sundays and the OPS. So there is apparently a 6 table limit now for tournaments? Is this for everyone or is it player specific? Can't check with no money on so was looking for information before I deposited.

EDIT: to answer your question i think (so far) the table cap has been on a player by player basis. some1 posted earlier ITT they have no cap, and although im not much of a multi-tabler i had a combo of 8 cash games/MTTs going for a bit on Sunday.

if you don't mind:

what stakes are you playing?
how are you liking Bovada?
differences in average player ability?
and of course the grand finale:

what's it like to play a tournament where when some1 goes all-in and loses they're out (how are you liking no insanely long late reg?)

For MTTs I play most tourneys in the 10-109 range (and the sunday 100ks) and cash 100-200nl. Bovada is solid, a larger player base so there is a larger selection of tourneys and more cash games running. Cash players aren't that great on bovada, but I didn't play much cash on merge so I don't have much of an opinion there. Tourney players are equally terrible on both sites. No re-reg/long late reg feels way better imo, ya it's tilting when you get like runner boated on in the first level or something, but they have a better schedule so there is still stuff to play if you lose early. That being said my re-reg on merge was pretty nitty (only within the first hour) so if you are heavily reregistering on merge you may not like having that taken away.

Most of the tourneys on Bovada have 2 to 3 hour late reg also. Just doesn't have re-entries. Of course the turbos and rebuys have an hour as usual. Also Bovada they give you smaller stacks and the levels are much faster or jumps levels compared to Merge. So alot of shoving way earlier then merge.

Highly player specific. 18 table cap is the norm.

A very very small % of the overall player base has table caps. If each of the fingers on your hand represented 1%, it would be considerably less than 1 hand's worth of players affected with table limits < the norm of 18 on the Carbon and Aced side of the equation. Jazette skins are quicker and harsher in their implementation of player limitations.

How are they determining table cap on a player by player basis? I assume best way for them to do it is keep high volume winners/ big losers on a table cap so sports bettors/fish lose less quickly?

The criteria for this are likely never to be disclosed.

As a player that has just recently started playing on Merge again, I find myself with a 4 table cap. I am one of the top winners and I think it's insanity that you're hiding behind this excuse that the criteria will never be disclosed. Sounds a lot like the VIP program too. Well, I hate to be this guy but I'm pretty sure in the terms or your gaming license you have to disclose this information somewhere for fair gaming.

I don't have words for how Merge expects to keep up with Brovada if all you're doing is driving your player pool over to a much shadier operation. Any notification about this would've been nice so I didn't have to put another 3K on your site and then see I can't load more than 4 tables of either MTT's nor cash. It fascinates me how Merge decides to become the model for how to ruin what was once a decent site.

Cheers

You guys that are talking about the 4 table cap, are you just talking about Tournaments? Or cash games too? Is anyone having issues with Carbon limiting them to less than 4 or 6 tables? I just grinded 12-14 with no problems on Carbon.

It's for cash, mtts, and sngs, but it's PLAYER SPECIFIC.

I was really butthurt about several of the changes Merge made that hindered serious players, but WOW! Last night was a circus! Never seen that many fish/whales on so many tables. Had one guy playing 5 tables that open shoved EVERY hand, and kept auto reloading. Thanks buddy.

Ya, even though, at the moment, I'm not capped on the number of tables I want to play (typically 6 or 7, sometimes as high as 9 or 10), I'm very concerned about singling out players in this way. I do agree that there should be an element of fairness for all players and arbitrarily penalizing some players for actions NOT against the rules seems very unfair.

I was recently capped and will still sing their praises. The site is actually playable again. I rather have less tables of good action than more tables of bad.

Would only bother me if I was capped for MTT's and SNG's. For cash, I usually play only 4 anyway. Sucks for all your mass multitabling winners though for sure.

If you get capped, it will be for everything. I can only have 6 total tables across all games including pre-registering. I do think 6 should be the minimum number of tables for the cap though. I had to either skip or late reg a lot of my normal schedule because I was still in all the early Sunday tournaments.

have my tables capped. have my vip taken away. watch other regs of equal and better skill fire up 10, 12, 14 tables is infuriating. i'm not singing.
