Ok, two nights ago, my carbon client froze while 10 tables going, tonight It froze while 2 tables were going.
I quickly closed out the client, uninstalled it and resinstalled it very quickly, logged into carbon again and the screen just sat there saying trying to connect- just like last night when I just restarted the computer and tried logging back onto the computer, and hung up there for another 4 minutes, then finally logged onto to the system.
I am wondering if it had to wait until my two games closed in order for me to get back onto the client?
It appeared to be the same two nights ago, and wouldn't log back on until my games were closed out also.
I am not in the NY, or NJ area, but I have played for 2 years and in the past it has happen a few times, but I could quickly log back onto to the client within a minute, I could log back on, no longer now.
Dang, If I cant get this resolved somehow, it doesn't make sense to play anymore here I guess

Carbon has taken over a month to verify my account. Does anyone know if Aced is a reputable skin or if there are more reputable skins out there?

Wow, seems kinda odd. I'm relatively new to the site (3-4 months) and I remember mine being done same day. This does you no good I know but just for piece of mind are you sure you submitted everything correctly? Did you get the reply from them that they received your documents and that they'll be getting back to you?

Have you contacted live support?

Carbon and Aced are exactly the same.

Insofar as your problem, the most common issue by far is that you likely submitted documents that were too large. I believe the email servers automatically reject any email > 2mb in size. Send your verification email again, but with smaller document sizes (use jpgs).

Just like all poker networks, the software is the same between different operators. Sure, there may be a few visual changes, but the underlying mechanisms that make up the client are the same. As such, the only differences between Carbon and Aced's software is the color schemes.

I've been completely away from online poker since Black Friday, however many years ago that was. I have just recently discovered Carbon Poker. Sorry if this is a total noob question, but they make you upload documents like ID and bank statements in order to withdraw money. Is that a legit thing, or a scam? I want to play, but I don't want to upload information and find out my bank account has been robbed. Is this a safe thing to do, or have people had problems?

Legit. In order to withdraw funds your account must be verified. Can't recall anyone having an issue with their bank account after verification by Carbon Poker. Just sayin...

Im wondering how people feel about the new structure. The part I don't like is 3k stack with blinds going from 25/50 to 50/100. Is this what the group of people decided on? Maybe I'm in the minority so I don't know.

I noticed that too. Terrible imo. I thought they were working to make structures better and they've basically made all of them worse. I can only assume that it is their intention to design everything to maximize the amount they can make/exploit re entry for.

This new mtt schedule is a significant downgrade from what is currently being offered.

I'm going to switch sites in the week or two. These (WPN and Bovada) seem to be the next two options behind Carbon. Do you, or anyone else, have any pros and cons of either? Going to my own research on traffic, promos, etc but can use all the info I can get.

look in the client for OCT 1st dixie...... it appears that the new standard structure is 3k starting with 10 minute levels-----

here is my take, i think the front end of the new structure is meh, no idea why there is no 30/60 and 40/80---- That being said, the back end of the structure is significantly improved---- antes kick in earlier & there are a bunch of added levels

overall there will be less play in non deep tournies though, i really wish they would have stuck with 15 minute levels in some of the nightly freezeouts----- & that we had someone we could provide this feedback to.

Its because they want ppl getting more shallow more quickly in the early stages (during late/re entry) so that ppl will spend more on re entries. Since more ppl will be spending more on re entries there will be more chips in play. and if the back end of the structure has been improved (didn't look much past it when I saw the 10 min blinds with missing levels) then its possible that the late game will play more deep-that will remain to be seen I guess.

But make no mistake, this was done to get ppl to generate more rake.

TVG is 100% correct, shorter levels and fewer early levels will generate more re-entries thus generating more rake. The up side is skill may play a bigger factor and this will definitely increase the prize pools but on the down side fish will go broke faster, especially with the top heavy payout structures.

The things I see right off that we asked for and they did is antes at level 5 instead of 7, more late levels and 5K add-ons instead of 3K. I compared the structure they originally sent us with the one they are using and they added several more mid to late levels. It honestly looks like they implemented most of what we ask for.

They did reduce a lot of guarantees from the ones they sent us so it looks like they are being really conservative in that respect. I'm not really surprised after so many maximus events had overlay. Hopefully once gtds get crushed they'll up them.

I really think for good regs these are positive changes, except so many 10 minute levels in the standard freezeouts, I'm not too happy about that but with such late reg/re-entry times at least these will play faster. The tournaments will play much better late game giving those with more skill a significant advantage.

Not that many PM events had overlays. It was well less than 20% of the total events.

OMFG didn't someone say somewhere that service would be better now without the 2p2 subforum? bahahahahahahaha!?!?!

I just got off live chat with the dumbest guy on the whole planet. I made a deposit at the beginning on Poker Maximus on 9/7 after the reload bonus started. I used the bonus code and after a couple of days it still wasn't applied so I did the claim a bonus thing. It still didn't get applied. So I just did live chat. The guy says he'll manually apply the bonus and he applied the first time depositors bonus to a deposit I made in February. I told him that was wrong and he told me he had to apply the bonus to my first deposit. I've played on Carbon since 2009 and made numerous deposits over that time. WHAT IDIOTS!

He told me to do live chat again tomorrow during normal business hours. If this the great customer service we can expect now, we're all screwed.

On another note: I sent an email to Carbon support suggesting that they make both the nightly $109 $10K a deep structure and the nightly $11 $6K deep as well.

I also noticed that these two:

21:45 $60 buy in $5K 6 max, Deep id 72783555

23:30 $2K 6 max Deep id 72637456

say Deep but when I looked at the tournament lobby they both show 15 minute blind levels but $3K stacks. I pointed this out as well but if Carbon support is as stupid as that idiot on live chat I doubt the email will do any good.

I get making it faster but all the representatives agreed on this? Even if its deep with like 5k stacks or 7.5k stacks, its still a little screwed up at the beginning.

I don't have carbon on this computer but from what I remember the structure is like this in the beginning, 10/20, 15/30, 25/50, 50/100, 60/120 (and antes kick in). A better structure wouldve been 10/20 or 15/30, 20/40, 30/60, 40/80, 50/100, 60/120. All this does is add one more level but it makes it a lot better. And it works for all tournaments whether they are with a 3k stack or deeper stack.

I can't believe only a few people got to decide this and they couldn't just do a poll to what the majority here agree on. The "new" structure isn't horrible and after the first part, there's a lot of play but now we're stuck with it (since every tourny has this blind structure) and I don't see a change coming anytime soon.
