Lol not one site can avoid issues with downtime or disconnections. Pretty impressive.

Hmmm, the last post I see on their twitter account is from 2016. Might want to get my money off of there for now after this and after reading this article: http://www.pokershutdowns.com/carbon...d-shutdown.php

Assuming everyone is still having issues? Merge has not acknowledged anything yet

I signed up for a sit & go about half an hour ago, but it never started once it filled :-( I also only see one tournament in the lobby that's listed as "In Progress", but that one isn't actually running either. The Merge status page says that poker is working normally, but that doesn't appear to be true on Carbon.

Well, about 18 of us were signed up for the Early Bird Micro on Carbon when it started at noon Eastern time. Two of the tables opened like the tournament was going to start normally, but they're just stuck with the "Waiting for tournament to start" notification on the screen. Now there are 34 people registered but no new tables opening and no hands being dealt. Definitely still having issues :-(

Thanks Wolf... this has been fun indeed. I don't see anything from merge on twitter and support hasn't gotten back with me.. I would assume you would get your entry fees back no problem though... But this has been a royal cluster **** I could see being down for a few hours but a whole day. Come on this is what cloud space is built for.

Yes, I already got my buyins back for both the sit & go and the Early Bird Micro, so that's good at least. Just bummed that I have time to play today and can't. One of the other players at my tourney table said they were able to get into a sit & go that started normally, so I'm gonna give that another try.

Hmmm maybe it's only mobile as I was just checking via a browser... Support finally gave me the below canned answer

I'm at a loss for words right now...

The live chat support just told me the tournament I was disconnected from in which I had a big stack with 2 tables to go played out on it's own and that I finished 8th for $22.......

Clearly a ton of us were disconnected so it's on them. They absolutely refuse to compensate me another dime. She actually had the nerve to offer me my original $11 buy-in on the condition that she'd take away the $22 prize! She even had the audacity to tell me there was no guarantee I'd have won more and that I could have gotten unlucky and lost in a few hands.

Has it always been their policy not to refund chip equities, but only original buy-ins? And if so, how are they not stealing buy-ins from the countless number of people who bust early and/or don't bother to follow up and chase them down for refunds? Ourtight thievery IMO.

Here's the bulk of our transcript:

| 18.05.2017 09:13:47 | Me: yesterday i had a big stack in one of your tournaments when the site disconnected and i have not been compensated
| 18.05.2017 09:14:56 | Daniel Davila: I am sorry about the situation, Can I have the tournament ID please?
| 18.05.2017 09:15:17 | Me: how do i find that
| 18.05.2017 09:16:09 | Daniel Davila: You will be able to see it in the Main lobby >account> menu> real money ledger.
| 18.05.2017 09:16:29 | Daniel Davila: However I just checked your activity from yesterday and found a Muti-table tournament: PLO8 Special - $600 Gtd Tournament: #87637811-1
| 18.05.2017 09:16:36 | Daniel Davila: Is that the one in question?
| 18.05.2017 09:16:59 | Me: yes
| 18.05.2017 09:17:11 | Me: i was only credited twice my buyin theres no way thats right
| 18.05.2017 09:20:39 | Daniel Davila: In this case the funds you received are from winnings, the tournament did finish and you placed 8th, that's why the balance was $22.20
| 18.05.2017 09:20:53 | Me: um yeah no
| 18.05.2017 09:21:00 | Me: your network disconnected
| 18.05.2017 09:21:02 | Daniel Davila: Those $22.20 are winning funds, not a refund.
| 18.05.2017 09:21:08 | Me: it wasnt just me it was several people
| 18.05.2017 09:21:23 | Me: if it played out without me thats your fault not mine
| 18.05.2017 09:22:45 | Daniel Davila: Even is the I there was a disconnection the the tournament took place, I can request a tournament refunds request. But that will mean that the winnings funds will be remove from your account and credit the $11 entry + fee.
| 18.05.2017 09:22:57 | Daniel Davila: At the end it will be the same amount.
| 18.05.2017 09:23:17 | Me: um i dont think you understand the situation
| 18.05.2017 09:23:28 | Me: when your site disconnected my chip equity was FAR over $22
| 18.05.2017 09:23:40 | Me: you need to copmpensate me for my stack at the time of disconnection
| 18.05.2017 09:23:49 | Me: that is what poker sites do
| 18.05.2017 09:24:09 | Me: im sorry you allowed the tournaments to continue when half of your player base got disconnected but thats your fault, not mine
| 18.05.2017 09:25:13 | Daniel Davila: In this case the disconnection policy will make you received a refund. That will be $11.
| 18.05.2017 09:25:34 | Me: what???
| 18.05.2017 09:25:41 | Me: but what about my chip stack
| 18.05.2017 09:25:44 | Me: how is that fair?
| 18.05.2017 09:26:08 | Daniel Davila: I understand that the there was a disconnection on our end, however that is how the policy will apply.
| 18.05.2017 09:26:09 | Me: i could have 99% of chips heads up and if we disconnect you give me back $11? seriously?
| 18.05.2017 09:26:30 | Daniel Davila: The funds are in your account now.
| 18.05.2017 09:26:54 | Daniel Davila: I am sorry Joe but that is how the policy works.
| 18.05.2017 09:27:05 | Me: can you link me to the policy
| 18.05.2017 09:27:26 | Me: obviously i will be leaving your network forever now as that is the most dishonest policy ive ever heard of
| 18.05.2017 09:27:33 | Daniel Davila: Is just coincidence that the winnings and the refunds are basically the same amount.
| 18.05.2017 09:27:47 | Me: its unacceptable. you are stealing from me
| 18.05.2017 09:27:55 | Me: i will let the entire poker community know
| 18.05.2017 09:28:26 | Me: you give back $11 to everyone who had already lost?
| 18.05.2017 09:28:34 | Me: the hell kind of sense does that make
| 18.05.2017 09:28:45 | Daniel Davila: I am sorry that feel this way. However we have not taken any funds from you
| 18.05.2017 09:28:49 | Me: actually i guess you just keep the $11 from all of them huh
| 18.05.2017 09:29:13 | Me: yeah you have. i had prolly over $100 in chip equity in that tournament and you're trying to give me $11 for it...
| 18.05.2017 09:29:23 | Me: thats robbery
| 18.05.2017 09:29:40 | Me: youre also stealing $11 from all the people who lost already and dont bother to contact you for refunds
| 18.05.2017 09:29:55 | Me: for every single tournament that disconnected
| 18.05.2017 09:30:01 | Me: unbelievably scummy
| 18.05.2017 09:30:19 | Daniel Davila: Having a lot of chips does mean that you will finish 1st. That is just stack while playing Joe.
| 18.05.2017 09:30:40 | Daniel Davila: You could have lost them all with a bad call, or a bad beat.
| 18.05.2017 09:30:41 | Me: yeah im aware of that

After that I'm just beating a dead horse for a bit longer. You get the idea. UNREAL!

You might want to consider the source. They're obviously pushing betonline. They also group Bodog poker with Carbon in question of poker sites closed. And two times they state slow cash outs are a reason Carbon may be closing. Not a very accurate May 2017 update of Carbon poker. My money was also returned after I was D/C @ cash table yesterday in addition to my pre-registration tournament fee.

What kind of initial deposit bonuses does Carbon have currently? Both reloads and new account?

Anyone having trouble sitting down at tables even other people are playing ?
The software just opens the table but not automatically sits me and just nothing happens besides that I can rail the action at the table.

it doesn't really matter because they both equate to 5%. I can pry do more than one reload to if your first runs out.

at 5% rakeback, it's so slow accruing that a 20% bonus and 100% bonus are hardly different to almost all players(big bonuses expire)
