The Equity Poker Network is the world’s only Cooperative poker network that we believe represents the future of poker networks – a fully transparent, peer to peer network of operators looking to increase their poker profits!

The Equity Poker Network is a non-profit organization, committed to the transparent distribution of profits on the basis of contribution to the poker network, with low fixed fees and minimum costs to the Operators who form part of this poker collective.
Their site says they've been operating for 10 years. Seems doubtful.

[edit]

Nevermind-- it says the software is proven and has been operating for 10 years.

lalalalalalalalala

Cashing out now and I would recommend everyone else do the same if what you have on there is important to you.

Who just ups and cancels a forum as robust as theirs that so many players use. 100% something is coming. It's gonna be a gutting of whats left of the VIP program most likely. You can't trust a site who decided a support forum for their players wasn't even worth it to them anymore. All you regs who kiss their rear everyday talking up how great Carbon is look like a bunch of girlfriends who didn't know they were being cheated on.

Just got this statement from carbon support

Thank you for contacting us.

We are sorry for this inconvenience.

As a CarbonPoker Management decision the 2+2 forum will no longer be available. You can send your inquiries now only via email or contact the chat from the website.

We appreciate your feedback regarding this matter.

Nope. I've been talking to him this afternoon though. I think he'll be OK and I'm sure he will miss the forums

My understanding is this was at their request. I'm not directly involved in this, but I'm trying to get clarification on whether there's anything that can be brought back.

Right. I don't know if Lock requested we delete anything, but I don't think they'd have had as much say over the situation as Carbon did.

Well, that's sort of how these things work - one minute they're here, the next they're gone. Kind of hard to delete something gradually.

I was playing to win it actually which is why I've been so aggravated seeing 24 players added since it went down to 99 players left. I'm not keeping 6k on there when they can't afford to keep a 2+2 forum. Best to get out now while the cashout times are good instead of a month from now when it's back at 12 weeks or worse bankrupt. You do you buddy. I honestly don't wanna see any of you get screwed over no matter how much I hate your lives.

If checks were taking 8+ weeks and this happened I could see being worried, but I think this is just a business decision.
I tend to agree with this statement, however, any move that mirrors Lock in any way (closing their 2p2 forum) is bound to make posters uneasy. Hope for the best; prepare for the worst- a good mantra to live by when US online poker is the subject.

At least Lock made the gesture of creating a Lock forum (I know its a total sham, but still). There's no reason Carbon couldn't do the same thing. You can open a forum for very little to no cost these days. You just need a rep to answer questions and manage the forum.

It seems like a forum has to be much more efficient than having customer service reps answer the same questions, over and over, hundreds (maybe thousands) of times via email and chat.

We keep large amounts of money on this site the least they can due is keep there clients updated on ongoing things like this. We should be told if there are money issues ... Or to expect a future network change. I don't understand why toilet sites can't be more transparent! Evan if a poker site had had money probloms I would tend to feel safer with the one that is transparent about everything that's going on

What makes you think they have money problems, recently they changed ROW withdrawals to 100k max at a time, and the checks have been lightning quick the past few weeks.

You don't understand business exceptionally well, do you? You can close something and still have enough money for it. It's very possible the RIO of the forum just wasn't there. Sure, it had a lot of posts, but what does that actually mean?
