As a matter of fact, as I and Synergistic have pointed out in previous posts, it actually seems likely.

I'm not saying there won't be any more poker/Merge network and I'm not fearful of not playing on Carbon.
I'm only trying to say that Carbon/Aced leaving the Merge network is, at this time, from all the recent developments, a good possibility.
To start a new account under another skin, ie Sportsbook, and have funds transferred is, if only a few day process and an inconvenience, not a big deal.
But the issue of VIP's and tourney tixx not being transferred for many many Carbon players will be an issue.
This is exactly what happened when Hero, RPM, and others left the Merge network. Why not prepare for the worst and pray for the best?

What a shady company move to close the thread without a word and redirect us to their know nothing online customer service.

With FT finally giving out refunds, with NJ and NV looking to combine their player pools the USA will have all the options we need hopefully in a year or less. If you get your money lost on this shady site you deserve what you get.
can you list the warning signs? Did I miss something. I don't play on this site but I find all this hysteria surprising.

Hey wait WTF? Pretty sure I only agreed with Kahn,

I only dreamed of Carbon leaving and joining up with Intertops, can't a girl dream around here?

Also agree don't think you'll find where Kahn has ever led us wrong.

Cost cutting measures can be great if you are laying people off or cutting back on R&D. We are talking about a business here where the only thing required is to keep existing customers and attract new ones. Every cost cutting measure recently has been counter productive to those two goals. Get Smart.

I brought it up a couple of times in this thread. There isn't a 50 seat freeroll. I asked about it in the September Promotions thread but my post wasn't responded to. I'm not sure if it's gone for good or not.

creating a multi tier sng leaderboard, adding a hu sng leaderboard, increasing the amount of times per month you can cash in points, increasing tournament guarantees, reducing cashout times significantly.

yup youre right.

I'm an affiliate too, but I have a history of pointing out both positive and negative things (opinions or facts) when it comes to rooms/networks I work with.

My opinion is similar to Kahn's. Leaving 2p2 doesn't strike me as anything to worry about as far as solvency.

I would guess that Carbon was spending a lot of time and money to not only sponsor the forum but also to have multiple support reps (of greater cost and value than front line support) handling a myriad of things.

I agree with Kahn that customer relations will likely suffer some due to this. An example would be when they make structural changes. I know that multiple support reps not only posted a lot publicly but they were talking with many players privately via PM too, going over changes, easing worries, explaining logic, listening to complaints, etc.

As far as moving networks, I can't imagine Carbon moving poker networks unless they were to start their own. And the odds of any US room leaving to start their own network is quite unlikely. I don't think it has been done since BF has it? And would be less likely today (with regulated US market being closer, not further away than when BF hit) I think as well to invest in building your own network.

I really haven't the vaguest idea why Carbon did this. It's all open to speculation. The only thing that I feel confident about though is that they didn't do it for the reason that they stated. This certainly wasn't done to improve customer service.

Actually there is a new network that is about to open (Equity Poker Network). I joined it a couple of weeks ago.

I pretty much stopped playing here after the PLO rake increases, only putting in enough volume occasionally to earn a spot in Sunday Big Ticket 25 seats GTD. I think I remember seeing a status tracker for this under the Promotions tab in the menu but I don't see it now. Guessing this promo was pulled also?

Just to let you guys know, the equity poker network is owned by the people that did the chico poker network. http://calvinayre.com/2013/07/01/bus...paid-balances/

Actually it was founded by a former CEO of BetOnline, Clive Archer (which might not be such a great thing but I'm not at all familiar with who he is). It is setup as a Co-op. I can't vouch for it because I know little about it but it is certainly an interesting idea. It gives the skins almost total freedom to run any kind of promotions they want and to give as much as 50% rakeback.

The network charges the skins a minimal fee to operate. It is also set up in such a way that the skins are rewarded for bringing in new players rather than stealing players from each other which to me is about the most attractive aspect of it after living through all the drama on the Merge Network.

I've played a couple of freerolls there that they've offered while they are testing the software before going online. It seems pretty soft since although I'm a terrible tournament player, I came in 6th place out of a field of over 250 where almost everyone showed up. Unfortunately 6th place made me the bubble boy.

Clive was gone from there long before those issues started. There is no need not to trust him or his network.

I agree here...this move by Carbon should be looked at as nothing but bad for the players.

Recently, I have had a very difficult time getting a check out of carbon. I actually reached out to their customer service a week ago and I was told many bs things such as it was my third withdrawal in a month and their are other people that need to withdrawal. Also they told me it was a queue and they did not choose who to pay out which is complete and utter BS.

On 9/9 I made two withdrawals within minutes of each other. So if there was a queue it would withdraw the first one and then the second in a reasonable amount of time(standard).

What actually happened is they processed the 2nd withdrawal but not the first one made minutes before that withdrawal took place. So that blows the queue possibility out of the water. If there was a queue I would not be writing here. It is completely obvious that Carbon is picking and choosing who to pay out.

Also there were multiple posters on 2p2 posting about how they requested their checks after my date and were still being processed before mine.

I brought this up to carbons attention and they told me they are not associated with 2p2 and they did not know what I was talking about.

Pretty much I had just gotten BACK on Carbon and previously left because they are a shady company. And SHAME on Carbon for the not fixing those same shady issues. This company is most likely getting close to insolvent and I will never put another cent on carbon. I suggest you do the same. Hopefully Carbon will hold up their promise to send me my checks soon(NOT IN 6-8 WEEKS) but as of the looks of it they are playing games with me.

Also: I wrote on the carbon withdrawal thread previously and Carbon Ryan actually deleted most of my comments that were pointing out that Carbon was in fact paying others that had withdrawn after me. I truly believe that Carbon only had quicker payout times so that the PokerMaximus series was bigger than usual.

Anyway it blows but this type of business is the Carbon I knew from the past and it is still the same today SMH.

Thanks to fran the man and poker dominicao I found out exactly how much advertising costs per month. For a relative big site like merge shouldn't be the same problem as it was for a new site like poker dominicano. Sounds like something is definitely afoot.

A lot of grrrinders on here which translates to a lot of rake for the site for merge to just shut down forum like that sounds like a bad business decision.

The series has one day left and they just processed another check request in 3 days. I believe you're wrong.
