What you describe sounds like they were under a DDoS attack. When this happens, one of the main ways to deal with it is to block large swaths of IP addresses where large portions of the attacks are coming from. Unfortunately this wide net catches many customers in it as well.

When you contact them and suddenly you can play again, it is likely because they captured your IP address and put you through a filter so that you could bypass the IP bans and play.

The bad beat jackpot has been stuck at $4,369.20 for at least two days now indicating they are no longer contributing to it. This promotion is still advertised on their web site. I emailed them but have yet to receive a response.

I have been having my SNG tables freeze periodically (both Carbon and Sportsbook). It is odd because I can still pull up lobby and register/deregister for more...

Anyone else having this happen?

I am unable to log into my sportsbook account.. not a big deal tho, really, considering I play just 1 or 2 MTTs a month on this withered site.

I can login but they are shutting down tournaments. Shut down the $11 5k and it looks like the $109 as well.

They shut down the Big Ticket yesterday 4 hours into the tournament... was quite annoying.

Quick question not sure if it’s been asked, but why no HORSE, stud, razz etc cash games or SnGs?

I suspect not enough traffic and the real good players win more often. Bad for site's goal of minimizing withdrawals and maximizing rake/fees.

A few years back, Merge had cash games for HORSE, Stud, Razz, and Badugi, although never any SNG's that I know of. They also had tournaments for all of those games long ago, but today only the HORSE and Stud tourneys are still around.

The reason those games disappeared is, not just on Merge but on all sites, they have only a small amount of players compared to Hold Em and Omaha. As people have continued to leave Merge, the number of players for those games was so few that they just quit offering them.

I love playing games other than Hold Em and Omaha, but as a US based player I'm not aware of any internet site that I can play on for cash that offers them. In order to be able to play these other games, I play for free chips on Poker Stars. Even there, the free chip offerings only have a few ring games for Stud, Badugi, Razz and 8-game, and one SNG each for Stud, HORSE, 8-game and Badugi. No tourneys for anything except Hold Em. For me the best (even though US players could only play for free chips) was when Full Tilt was still separate from Poker Stars after both sites started running again after Black Friday, and they offered 10-game .

Well, so much for my "soft fields" statements in previous posts here and in other threads. A notable amount of higher buy-in mtt folks are populating the lower buy-in mtt also. Adding in the solid regs that already play many of the buy-in levels, I'm retracting my "soft fields" statements regarding mtt.

The same reason they have cut payout limits in half and increased time frame to 5-7 days, on a method that should take no more than 48 hours, and be free.

OK. So live chat has confirmed that new accounts are not currently being accepted and that the network is going under like the Titanic. Gotcha. Sent an email just to verify for myself. Are you aware that this is at least the 3rd time they have stopped accepting new accounts? Yet, here we are.

Phew, that's a relief. Good thing their support rep confirmed that they are indeed not going out of business. All is well again. Thanks Barry

As dissatisfied as I am with their "business decision" reply, at least they answered. Again, I ask you, if you were aware this is at least the 3rd time they've suspended taking new accounts. To my limited knowledge, sites in trouble don't stop taking new accounts. We're at 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS for bitcoin cash outs. Agreed, not good. But "the Titanic going under", was a better fit for when cash outs were taking 5-7 MONTHS. Yet, here we are. Phew, that's a relief. Good thing the doomsayers are warming up. All is well. Thanks HisandHerpes.

Yeah man, I'm aware, but it doesn't sound like you're aware that the most recent time it was for USA accounts only, because of all the issues they were running into paying out Americans. That's why all accounts that signed up after that are "btc only" for deposits and payouts. Comparing that situation to this one is ******ed. There's no reason why they should be having issues paying people out now with btc, yet their recent actions are indicating that they are.
