Never had an issue like this before. Yesterday a buddy called me and asked wtf I was doing playing like a spaz. I had no idea what he was talking about and checked my merge skins and was down almost 7k. I have no idea how this happened or how long it had been going on for as I havn't played in about 5 or 6 days. My buddy said that it didn't blatantly look like chip dumping however. I'm going to contact the merge skins and try and find out whatever I can from them.

Basically my questions to anyone that has had something like this happen to them before.

Does the site ever really do anything about this? Any chance of getting any money at all reimbursed?

Is there any merit in filing a police report? I live in a small town of about 15,000 people and I doubt they will do anything but file a report and not do anything about it. Do you think this would do anything to help any situation with merge? Thanks for input

Yes merge has multiple skins which you can have multiple accounts on.

You can try, but I doubt they would give you anything, as it will just open them up to getting freerolled. Even with an IP logging in from another part of the world, they do not know if it's a buddy you know taking a shot at a bigger game risk-free. It's just easier for them to have a blanket policy that states your computer security is your responsibility. Sucks, but I can understand why.

Check your computer. Change your site passwords and definitely change your email passwords. If you haven't got one already sign up for a gmail account and set up two step authentication.

No replies to pms with regard to a trade when you never sent the money. C'mon, you need to deal with this, $8k is serious money that a police department will not ignore. I would assume theft of $8k is considered a felony. You need to start working out an arrangement.

There is 0% chance that this player was hacked. I was just looking through his posts and noticed he did a transfer with BOOOOM!! Only problem is there is no user who has two !! behind BOOOOM. I checked BOOOOM and noticed this player has not logged in since 2009.

I don't know why this player would say they did a transfer with an account that has not logged in since 2009. Unless somehow the account BOOOOM!! has been deleted somehow. Too bad no one caught this because it might have alerted that something was up.
