jan 1 is obviously the best choice, as we don't want to hurt other players who would happily join in once they get their target for the year... you don't want to cause any arguments or fights amongst the players. It's us vs pokerstars. Not nits vs lags or anything in between.

My suggestion: Start it Dec. 30. (48 hours from now). 1 p.m. EST Dec. 30.

If people complain at the tables, POLITELY explain to them what is happening, and why you are doing what you are doing.

Do not engage in arguments at the table.

Keep 24 tables open, and spam waitlists as well.

Keep going for as long as you can, and if you need to stop, start again immediately when you get the chance.

This is a serious issue for six max players, and to FR players and SNG players, it could easily be you next. All poker players, regardless of stakes or game preference, need to work together on this.

So, who's up for December 28, 2011 at 1 p.m. EST?

If there's a better time, please don't hesitate to say so. I'm in for whatever we can do to let stars know that 50% rake increases are not okay.
As someone else mentioned, I think it's important to wait until Jan 1st to do this because it'd be disgustingly unfair to those who are pursuing SNE 2011 and grinding last minute VPP's.

Good point. Jan 1 is the best time imo.

Yeah but I'm suggesting having it canned in a really simplistic way without all the noise and "fuuu stars". Just so we have a nice short and simple explanaion on why/what we are doing.

For this to have an impact we would need to agree on a stake level etc. Micro stakes has the most tables running but maybe it would have more impact at small/mid stakes?

#***********stars imo

To make this more effective since you can buy into infinite would be to buy into SNGs and tournaments and sit out.

I'm in. PS id: o_omx

I reached SNE 2days ago and I feel pretty ****ty about it because of all the hours I put in to reach the status in order to get the expected value I wanted and now I feel super deceived and dissapointed with Stars for making my efforts drop a lot in $ value. I can do any day any time BUT i definitely think it should be Jan1+ since I would feel pretty angry with you if you started to block my games and I were still some VPPs away from the goal.

Btw, we must wear a special avatar for this imo as some already have mentioned it.

cant they just ban everyone blocking tables for 24hours (forcing self exclusion), just saying, if they gonna wish to keep games going they have super easy solution...

In my opinion we should do it from 100 to 600nl and let the other regulars who don't read 2+2 or other forums know about the changes because Stars won't make significant money from NL25 or less so it has to be nl100+ IMHO.

Also, it should be like 4-5 (prob 5 is best) players sitting out per table and leave 1 seat open, 6 players sitting out at the same table will waste 1 slot that could help block another table.

Im in to block 6max games.

not everyone can change the avatar again, and not everyone would be able to do so after this change then not everyone would like to use that avatar forever... but still is a good idea.

Is somebody going to create maybe an event at facebook? that way is easy to spread this "event" to poker friends and etc.

On the other hand 1st January is not so good, cause lots of people will have to chillax because of NYE. What about lets say 7th January?
it shouldn't be to stressfull to sitout on 24 tables.

They certainly could BUT do you really want to ban your 24tabling grinders that are going to rake a lot if this boycot fails?

Stars knows that people are saying "Im gonna leave this site" and some of they will, some of they don't, Stars would be pretty stupid to not leave the option of they playing again open imo.
