From same thread Bob quoted

Reply from PS support ....

Thank you for your email and for allowing us to be of assistance.

We have received a number of reports from our Australian based players regarding disconnection issues. We have been able to verify that the problem is caused by a local Australian ISP.

If you were playing in a tournament and feel you were negatively affected by the ISP problems, please send us an email with the following subject line:

REFUND: Tournament #, buy-in, User ID

For instance, if your User ID is 'PokerMagic' and you played in tournament #300030551, which was a $50+5 buy-in, the subject line should look like this:

REFUND: Tournament #300030551, $50+5, PokerMagic

If you are not sure of the tournament number then you can locate it via the the pokerstars software:

'Requests -> Tournament History...'

Once again we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused and thank you for your patience as we resolve matters.

If you are unable to connect, please restart your computer then try PokerStars again.

In any case, please write to us again if you have any other queries.

Regards,

Alzina

Heh, yeah, I noticed that too. Of course, they had quite a large number of players reporting it, whereas you're the only one ITT who is doing so AFAIK. I understand you say other players were complaining, but if none of them reported problems, Intertops is more likely to assume the issue is isolated more to you and/or your ISP.

@stlboy05 - I feel your pain. That's happened to me in the past. The thing is, the internet connection from our computer to the poker site's server takes many "hops" along the way. It travels through many different servers and routers. If one of those servers or routers goes down, we lose our connection. It may take some time before they come back up, or before the internet connection is rerouted. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about it, as it only affects people's connections passing through that specific route.

Something of this nature actually happened this past Monday with the Juniper routers...

http://www.networkworld.com/news/201...ge-252851.html

Additionally, if we knew the specific IP Address that we were connecting to on Intertops' servers, we could trace our connection path (and reveal any problems) using software like VisualRoute or PingPlotter.

Hope it doesn't happen to you again any time soon.

Yes, it takes me 1 business day to get the money to MB / Skrill, sometimes even faster.

No, you are only allowed to have one active rakeback account on the Cake network (other account has to be inactive for 3 months, I think, before you can have it switched over).

Correct you can only have one rakeback account at a time on the network.

I have an active Colt Poker account, but I want to switch to Intertops. I signed up for a 33% rakeback through http://www.rakebacksafe.com so I have to cash out from Colt and wait 3 months before I can get my 33% rakeback?

If your cake account hasn't been active for 2 years. You can close down your cake account and set up rakeback account with intertops.

I think it works well for cash games. It hasn't reported my sng's correctly. It may also depend on which version of Intertops software you are using.

Hi I signed up on intertops poker have been lied to by at least 3-4 support personel, was told I'd recieve an email about why I'm not receiving rakeback payments. Playing on this site had been very frustrating. I called yesterday about my rakeback I was told I only raked 23 so I had to rake 33 before payment. Played again last night raked a total of 44 have earned 101 fpp and still not getting rakeback payments. So I call again and they say, you have only raked 23. Like they are reading from a script!!!

I was already cheated out of points toward clearing my bonus when the rep assured me the bonus was on my account and it wasn't. Please assist in getting this matter resolved I have hand histories which show how muh I've raked. It's no wonder this site has 3k players avg.

Rakeback is released in $10 increments. They told you it's still 23 because the amount had not been updated yet. They didn't lie to you.

I did, everything is taken care of.. WHY Cynthia, Lynda, John, Palbo(?), and the other reps just kept cutting & pasting the same line over and over was why I was so frustrated. Once I finally got into contact with the PKR Room manager things were a bit different and more helpful. I was also lied to several times about being assured my bonus was on my account when it wasn't which is unfortunate but nothing can be done now.. But the issues at hand has been resolved in a timely manner and I appreciate it.

P.S. Please don't doom switch me!

Thanks
